Yep, I think I’m ready.

“We need a distraction. Stephen, go grab a pokey ball thing. Trevor, stop arguing and get Isabelle. I’ll grab professor X. Sound good?”

“No need to thank me. But that was quite a jump back there. I envy your reflexes.” Merl again peeked over the top of the desk, looking with interest at the new arrivals. Isabelle’s creatures looked small compared to what he was used to, but fierce enough he supposed. @Isabelle6060

Merl quickly got over his immediate shock and dove behind some desks and equipment, beckoning Trevor to follow. Merl peeked over the top with staff in hand. “Are you okay?” He asked Trevor.

Merl shook his head, cheerfully looking around to check the others.

“Not that I’m aware of.” Merl looked confused. “Um… is he a Pokémon, professor?”

“Eh, they’re all right. What makes them so special?”

I’ll maybe accept one punch man. But every other anime I’ve tried to watch, I’ve thoroughly disliked. Also Pokémon is accepted.

“My world.” Merl said, hands on his hips “very green, very lush.”

“So you’ve been here often?”

“It has been a very, VERY long time since I was inside a cave,” Merl spun in place, getting a good look at everything around him. “or… whatever this is, I guess. It’s very comfortable.”

Merl followed closely behind Professor X, his excitement getting the best of him.

“Still a little tired, but I’m always ready to go home!”

Merl smiled at the (young?) woman. “Hello, we haven’t formally met, though I’ve seen you around camp. I’m Merl. Who are you?”

I’m a few months late, but I chose yellow because it’s triumphant and regal.

Thanks! I was thinking that there is a little rain, but just no strong weather. They have plenty of sun, and the water that pours when creatures walk by is the equivalent to rain. I see what you are saying about the defenses being very difficult to legitimize. I WAS planning on people living mostly in caves, but if you wanted farms and herds you can’t have a creature walking there. What size would the creature have to be to have this kind of thing work? Edit: I just realized a misunderstanding that might have taken place. I live in Hawaii where mountains are much smaller than average mainland mountains, so that makes a little bit of difference in what is probable. Then again, I want to make my creatures as big as I possibly can, so maybe it doesn’t matter that much.

“The power is one with the earth, it flows through all living things. I expect… different powers sustain these worlds.” Merl thought out loud “if my powers eventually dim from being too far away from Dax, shouldn’t his dim from being too far away from the source?”

“If we do capture Dax, I worry about what will happen if he goes off my world. Will he still be able to draw from the sustaining power?”

Merl whispers to professor x “I have some concerns about our mission, actually. I was hoping you might be able to clarify something, with all your scientific knowledge.

I feel like Brandon kinda tried to get a taste of that in Shadows of Self. Or maybe that was just some build up to it. Imagine how heart wrenching it would be, though, to see wax and Wayne on opposite sides of a civil war. Or to see wax fight against the his wife’s kind while he still loves her.

A violent revolution should never happen. I think it’s much more realistic for a lawman to serve under the elite that run the city and lead it, then for him to magically know what’s right and wrong and do that. Just me though
