Season 8 was so bad. I'm glad there is other good media worthy of rewatching because my plans to rewatch GoT just seem bad now. BSG has been my latest binge.

No to all three. 1. This character has seen a perpendicularity. 2. This character has difficulty communicating with other characters. 3. This character can fly 4. This character is from a minor shardworld. -

@Bejardin1250 thanks for the heads up on etiquette. I'm new to internet forums and appreciate the tip.

I've read Mistborn Era 1 and 2, SA1-4, Elantris, Arcanum Unbounded, Warbreaker, White Sands (Prose), and Dawnshard I was not a biggest fan of Sarene or Spook, but their stories were interesting. I had no interest in Zane whatsoever.

Astronomers and astrophysicists club! :D
Mars Disco replied to Starborn42's topic in General Discussion
A classic physics experiment is to drop a feather and a bowling ball inside a vacuum to show that they both fall at the same rate. The common misconception is that there is no gravity in space, but NASA and other educators are trying to dispell that notion by calling it microgravity. In reality, the reason anything can stay in orbit is gravity. When you are in orbit, you are constantly falling, the only difference is that you are going sideways fast enough to miss the ground. Since you are always in free fall, all of the forces ballance out which creates the sensation of floating. You can create a similar effect inside the atmosphere by flying on a parabolic trajectory in a standard aircraft (look up "Vomit Comet")- 29 replies

Myth busters made a balloon out of lead foil! Ultimately, what you are saying is quite possible, it is just more difficult and less effective than the alternative. Airplanes and helicopters are faster and can fly much higher than any airship capable of useful payload. Now, if a society never figured out heavier than air flight or how to make effective internal combustion engines, that is a complete different story. - Mars

Hello! I am new as well. What are you planning to read next?

Hi all, My sister got me Mistborn for Christmas and here I am 5 months later later wondering about weather a trip to BYU would be worth squeezing every last scrap of Cosmere out of existence. I've read basically everything published, and am most excited for the space age. 6th of Dusk has been my favorite story so far, as I am a huge fan of asymmetrical situations in storytelling. - Mars
