I haven’t been on here in a while. Probably won’t be on here a ton. But I still exist, don’t worry!!! A lot has happened. I’m the costumer for my school’s theater department, I’m doing 7 extracurriculars, I turned 16, went on my first ever date, and a bunch of other fun stuff. Life has been so busy I’ve barely had time to sleep. (And my friends keep mothering me because I keep forgetting to eat food…) but it’s great!

Oh wow this exists! I was OBSESSED with Keeper in 6th grade before I found Sanderson. I read the majority of the series 4-5 times. My cousins are also quite into the series, so when they came to visit, I narrated the later half of chapter 42 of Stellarlune. It was quite hilarious.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHY DO AUTHORS HAVE TO BE SO EVIL?!?!? I just finished Defend the Dawn by Brigid Kemmerer (it’s the 2nd book of 3- the first one is Defy the Night) and it left on a HUGE CLIFFHANGER. THE THIRD BOOK DOESNT EVEN COME OUT UNTIL JANUARY. what am i gonna dooooooooo????!?!!?
(also if you like An Ember in the Ashes, then I think you’d like this book. It’s not as epic as Sanderson, but it’s pretty good in its own right)

Examining her sketches, Knalya tapped her chin. Probably the second one, because the dramatic difference in length would make for some good contrast. But I think I’ll ask Retan for his opinion.” As Falchion went to check the door, Knalya wandered over to Retan’s room.

With a flourish of her pencil, Knalya finished her sketches. “Ok, I have three options for you: a tea-length skirt with a suit top, but the suit jacket is the outer layer of the skirt; a suit top that flares into a mini skirt that you’d wear either nice leggings or suit pants with- I think this one would be cool in a fun color; or a traditional suit that transforms into a traditional gown.”

"Really, you don't..." Falchion stopped. The ramen, it seemed, had brought a spark of inspiration to her tiny little brain. "Could you make a dress... that's also a suit?" Knalya tapped her fingers in the desk, a thing she did when she was thinking. “Hmmm… Probably. Are we thinking, like, a big skirt with a suit jacket? Or something that has more suit-ness in the skirt? Ooh, what if the jacket was more fitted that then flared out into a skirt that was a bit shorter, and you wore leggings or dress pants with it? Or if it was a dress that transformed into a suit and vice-versa with a press of a button?” Pulling out her sketchbook, she began drawing out her ideas.

Rolling her eyes, Knalya retorted, “Oh come on. You know I can’t resist an opportunity to make something new!” Her eyes shift to her closet where frills, lace, and satin were barely being held back by the flimsy sliding doors. “Ooh- or, if you want, I could alter a dress I already have to fit you.”

Turns out my sprained ankle wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! I can actually walk on it without pain, unless it bends at a certain angle. Yay!!

“Huh? Yeah, it’s done!” Knalya was still smiling. “Now I can finally start making something for you for the upcoming Winter Formal. What do you have in mind?”

Knalya put the last stitch of the gown into place and took a step back. It was her biggest project yet. Fifteen petticoats made it poof put much more than any of her other dresses. Made of leaves she had magicked into fabric it was what a forest nymph would wear to a royal ball. It had twinkling lights sparser throughout it and flowering vines hung on the bodice, draping to outline the skirt. She squealed in excitement. “It’s finally done!!”

I feel you. We had new boundaries implemented a few months ago, (we didn’t change wards) but I remember moving to a new house within our stake and knowing no one. It was stressful, but now I know people from several wards so stake activities are really cool because now I know tons of people! -

Knalya looked down. She was wearing a dress formed of immaculately folded pages of a book- Her favorite fantasy book, specifically. It was the dress she always wore to any sort of book-related errand. “Thanks! It’s one of my favorites.” Knalya looked at the dead body. “If you need to cover that up, I can turn that corpse into fabric,” she said in a joking tone.
It's really so good isn't it
that's what I've done while waiting for book 4 to maybe come out for my favorite series (it's never gonna come out tbh)
