  1. First time through. Promised myself I'd make it all the way before reading EotW again, but it's hard.
  2. We'll certainly see, but they've all been the same level of plodding so far. I think the real slog is supposed to be 9-10 so I think I might be safe for a little while longer.
  3. I've finished the seventh I believe. Don't exactly remember but I think that's right.
  4. Rookie numbers. What's fun is when your library only gives e-loans for 14 days, which is not nearly enough time to read any fantasy novel. So you then have a rotation of three to four books you're halfway through listening 14 days worth at a time. Not to mention your ebook, physical book, and before sleeping book. I went on a road trip and have since reread Earth Unaware by Orson Scott Card and the Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winters, which are respectively a good book and a great sequel (that can never live up to the divinity of the first). I then started A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie. I'm not far in yet, but I very recently read Half a King, which was simply amazing. That, combined with the excellence of The First Law trilogy, leaves me very hopeful. On that road trip, I listened to part of WoR, but have since switched to Shadow's Edge by Brent Weeks. WoR is WoR, and Shadow's Edge is okay, but unimpressive. I'm hoping to get the next WoT book in when I make another trip next week, but we'll see. Depends what shows up from the library.
  5. Yar, we did it. Thank you @Sart for an amazing game, I really did love this ruleset. The explosive reactions were just the right touch. Thank you @Araris Valerian for stopping the fires we elims never saw. And thank you my lovely teammates, you have inherited a glorious tradition of victory, let's hope you don't stop playing like the last set. And thank you all the rest of you, for underestimating me once again. To the dead doc I go. Edit: Hah, you thought we couldn't pull it through d2, well think again me lovelies. Man, I forgot how much fun SE can be.
  6. ‘Twas I I did it, I did it all I was the one behind every trip and fall ‘Twas me who struck down TJ, I was the one who slaughtered Kas to silence his hearsay The time has come for the final hour For now I have all of you in my power So despite you surrounding me You have already failed to contend with us three My compatriots in lies Feed them to the flies It is time for every last one of you to DIE! Vote, why would I vote? You so kindly did that for me.
  7. Would be even better with a four man team. TBB T(J) B(ee) B(arron)
  8. Why did you have to say that. Triggering the paranoid part of my brain (the whole of it basically)
  9. Is a Raven/2 Newbies team that improbable for missing a kill? Something that can help @Amanuensis decision as well, I grabbed the Midnight spore last night. I want to try to find the elim kill tonight. I currently have it on my top suspect, but I'm very open to other suggestions. I figure I can randomly select from a pool who to check.
  10. My thoughts are that I personally would like to not die. I think I am very solvable right now. E!TKN doesn't get involved as much I have this game. Kas has a few others I've seen, but that’s my main point of contention. I think you should probably be shooting into that low info/activity bunch, Hairy, JNV (well, not JNV cause of Kas), Aeter, Raven, maybe Royal. I'm actually curious why you seem to be so ok with this @Kasimir, you've been reading me village so far as I can yell for a while now, and more strongly than I'm used to.
  11. Hmm, on reconsideration, I'm going to unvote JNV. I'm choosing to trust Kas on this one. To break the tie or not... aren't both of these players new? Or has Faerie done a few games? I'm going to give Royal the benefit of the new player doubt. Sucks to loe to a coinflip your second game. Faerie. My post merged, @Sart
  12. That's fair, and while I kinda agree, I do disagree on a few things. I don't recall JNV being big on placeholder kills when I was an elim with them (read, I don't remember them ever doing one). That game is also an example of low activity, low WiM JNV I think. I'm mostly drawing from that data point here cause I don't really remember another e!JNV game. I am willing to defer to you on this though, as I do remember you being accurate with this in the past, but I'll keep my vote on JNV for at least a while longer as a sort of turn 2 poke.
  13. It is technically possible, but it would be very odd for n1. And it would suggest a very high-risk team (me, Aman, probably Drake, not sure other than that)
  14. This feels so perfect, but it has to be too neat. I'm inclined to believe 1) though. Lack of execution is a serious concern for me as an elim. For Team comp based on a supposed lack of a kill, I'd guess at least one newbie, plus a less assertive vet. JNV fits that mark to me, and they've been pretty low activity too. Not at all a final vote here, just where my thoughts lie currently. I'm not really opposed to voting a newbie, though it definitely feels a little early. I was confident in Aeoryi. Kinda (in hindsight) confbiased their annoyance as being a sign of guilt. I was content to just be uneasy at their first few posts, then they just kept triggering alarm bells. Edit: No, I did grab something last night, but I'd rather leave a little ambiguity for an elim team I don't think is paying much attention.
  15. Oh dang, I somehow missed this. That's kinda rude. I would appreciate it if Aman revealed his reasoning though, Mr. o7.
  16. @Hairybarron, make sure you post and put an action in your GM PM.
  17. Not by choice. Would have grabbed Verdant probably.
  18. And I forgot to grab a spore because od daylight savings time. Great. Oh. Also Aeoryi's dead. Sorry.
  19. You realize that I operated both from the principle that you were lying about the tell and that you were telling the truth, right? Editar: Because I have no interest in reading a ridiculously long MU thread. I personally think you are telling the truth about the tell, but tha you're still an elim who's annoyed that a bunch of people have gotten it right for the wrong reason.
  20. Really not liking Aeoryi's last string of posts. Feels like Aeoryi is 1. Trying to redefine her tell (with a "everyone knows this in MU" that's unlikely to be contradicted) to make her e!behavior look better, or 2. Telling the truth about this not being her tell, but is overreacting/being annoyed because the village found her for the wrong reasons. Aeoryi
  21. I don't like that above post from Aeoryi. Just does not sit right with me. I don't think I'm willing to vote for it yet, since I've judged Aeo quite wrongly in the past, but I'm close. @Kasimir, I kinda dragged Hairy into signing up for this game, so I suspect the vote is a typical latch onto the only familiar name. If you're asking about my LHF theory, no, this doesn't fit any of the qualifiers.
  22. That's the spirit! Eh. I suppose. I hadn't noticed, but this does seem to be vaguely a reskinning of Sart's Rythmatist games (I think someone mentioned it above), of which I have played one of them. I do really enjoy this mechanic conceptually. Don't really remember how it played put last time, but I suspect we won't be able to solve off of store raiding for at least a few turns. We definitely need to be coordinating our raiding in thread, these explosive reactions can really mess the world up if we're not careful. As to which I'll be grabbing, I'll get back to you. I need to glance over my options and their consequences again.
