  1. (Sorry for taking so long to reply) My least favourite book in the Cosmere is Warbreaker. I just didn't enjoy it as much as the others. A big part of this was that I was expecting something different from the story than what it was. I've been meaning to go back and re-read it to see if I will enjoy it more a second time around.
  2. I read the Kingkiller Chronicles this summer. It’s pretty good. That’s awesome that you cosplayed Kvothe. Do you have any photos? I’d love to see what you did. Favourite character is Syl, though Kaladin, Shallan, and Vin are also up there. Hated character, Sadeas is the first one that comes to mind. Knight Radiant order would be Windrunner. One allomantic power: Zinc. I want to enflame people’s passions so that they are inspired to do great things. One feruchemy powe: Copper. So I can learn lots and remember it all. Twinborn: see my answers above. Of all the Cosmere powers I’d want to be a Windrunner. Of all of Sanderson’s books Rhythm of War is my favourite, though the first Mistborn book is close. You need to ask a lot more questions before I stop reading. Lol
  3. Now that I've caught up and read RoW and Dawnshard, I'm reading Heart of Iron and its sequel Soul of Stars by Ashley Poston. She's my other favourite author after Brandon Sanderson.

    Mistborn Dark Link

A mash-up of the Legend of Zelda character Dark Link with Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn world. This is what Dark Link would look like if he was a Mistborn.

  7. Thanks! When it comes to my cosplays I really love my Celes from FF6 and my Alyssa from Cosmic Star Heroine. (Hopefully the images attach to this post.) Though right now I have plans for a Syl cosplay that will probably become my new favourite once I'm able to make it. As for advice, my first piece of advice is to start simple. Cosplay doesn't need to be complicated or difficult or involve hours to do. There is something called "closet cosplay" which is basically looking in your closet to see what you have to make a cosplay. Look for a character with a simple design. Usually casual or everyday outfits work best. Then look in your closet to see what you already have that could work. It doesn't need to be perfect, just close enough. Then anything that's missing head to your local thrift store, dollar store, or discount store to find the other things you need. Cosplay can get very expensive, but if you keep it simple and are creative you can do it cheaply and effectively. Once you get some experience with simple cosplays then you can work you way up to sewing and crafting more complex costumes. I've been costuming for many many years, but this year I gave myself a challenge to create at least one closet cosplay every month and take photos of it. I was able to reach my goal so if you check out my facebook or instagram (links in my signature) you can see photos throughout this year of the various closet cosplays I've done. Hopefully this gives you some ideas. If you have a particular character(s) in mind let me know and I can give you some ideas. Or if you want to talk more about cosplay just send me a message. EDIT: I just noticed that the Gallery page has a section for cosplays, so I've uploaded images of my three Sanderson related cosplays if you're interested.
  8. Overall it’s a tie between Kaladin, Shallan, and Vin. Edit: OMG I just remembered Syl! How could I have forgotten about her?! Syl is my favourite character. <3
  9. I have to pick one book?! Lol. I really love Stormlight Archive and of the four books so far I think Rhythm of War is my favourite (though Words of Radiance is also awesome). I also really love the first Mistborn trilogy, the first book in particular. It’s a tie between those books as to which is my favourite. As for favourite character it’s a tie between Kaladin, Shallan, and Vin. Trying to pick a favourite is so difficult when it comes to Sanderson. I love it all! Lol
  10. Hello! I just joined this site. I've been a fan of Sanderson's books for a few years now, but after reading RoW I just had to share my cosmere theories so I joined the forums to talk with other fans. I've read all the cosmere books, and I'm working on Sanderson's other books now (next up is Legion). I'm a cosplayer, artist, gamer, bookworm, and all-round geek and nerd. If I could have any power in all of the cosmere I'd be a Windrunner. So that's a bit about me. Feel free to visit my pages on Facebook and Instagram where I post about all sorts of geeky and nerdy things. Looking forward to many interesting journeys here.
  11. Hello! After reading Rhythm of War and thinking about the Cosmere as a whole, I came up with a crazy theory that had shocked me to the core, and I can't find anything that disproves this theory, so I want to share it here and get other's opinions of this. My theory has to do with Trell, who we learn the existance of in Mistborn Era 2, and connecting it with Stormlight Archive. First, my theory is based on two assumptions: 1) That Mistborn Era 2 takes place after the first 5 books of the Stormlight Archive. I saw a fan made image on Instagram a while ago that showed this was the case. Has new information changed this? I haven't seen any updated timelines for the books. 2) That Dalian will loose in the upcoming battle against Odium and become a pawn of Todium (Taravangian with Odium's power). My theory is that Trell is Dalinar working on behalf of Todium. Pg 1193 of RoW "So Taravangian knew the cosmere was in chaos. Ruled by fools. Presides over by broken gods." We see that Todium looks out into the Cosmere and sees all the corrupt leaders and the other shards/gods and sees that it needs to be made right. Later on that page he says "and now, Taravangian was going to save them all." Todium clearly has plans not only for Roshar, but for all of the cosmere to make things "right". It sounds like he's going along the lines of Odium's original plan of being the only god and possibly bringing peace and security to the cosmere. Pg 385 of Shadows of Self "The governor was planning to speak to the people of the city. Bleeder hadn't succeeded in killing him yet, and Wax suspected he knew why. Because when she murdered him, she wanted an audience." Here we see Bleeder, who is being used by Trell, trying to take out a major political leader on Scadrial. Clearly Trell wants the "corrupt" leaders killed in front of the public to try and win over the hearts and minds of the people to them. If Bleeder had succeeded there is likely more to Trell's plan to put a better leader in place. Perhaps even someone who is a minion of Trell who would bring the right sort of leadership to a major area of Scadrial. Pg 435 of Shadows of Self (there are a few lines here I'm not going to quote them all) but it confirms that the metal is not one that Harmony knows. So it is a metal from another world, from another god. Let's call this metal Taravangium. (Not Trellium, though it was Trell, aka Dalinar, who delivered this metal to Scadrial on behalf of Todium.) (formerly this metal was Raysium) We also know (I don't have a quote for this) that shards can sense the presence of other shards. If Odium was free of Roshar and working in the Scadrial system as Trell, Harmony would know. But, we do know that powerful humans (and other beings) can operate on a planet without the shard noticing. Pg 535 of RoW in the text at the start of the chapter (which we can assume is a letter from Harmony to Hoid) "Regardless, please make yourself known to me when you travel my lands. It is distressing that you think you need to move in the shadows". Dalinar, going by the name of Trell, powered by Odium, could come to Scadrial and work to recruit members to Todium's cause, and Harmony would not be able to detect him as long as he kept hidden. The final piece is from the Copppermind website, when looking up Trell, Sanderson has said that "Trell has been many things over the eons..." so why not use that name to sow some confusion. So there it is. My theory that Trell is Dalinar, working on behalf of Todium to bring peace to the cosmere and take down all those corrupt leaders and gods. Now what does this mean for the future of the cosmere...
