How about the fifth oath being about leadership in war and battle, like he accept that when leading men in battle some will die because he led them there and he will have to accept that and don't blame him self for it or think he is the reason for it because of his leadership. I think with him sowering the fourth oath he accept that sometimes he can't protect but that's different from blaming him self for being the leader who lead the men there. So it might be something like this : I accept that some times I have to lead where others will follow rather than protecting. I don't think o explained my idea very well (english is not my first language sorry :D)
