  1. I didn't know about the Horneater clan living in Shadesmar. Thanks for letting me know.
  2. Thank you. I had a feeling this would be the answer. I was very tired earlier and ended up with the stupid theory that
  3. From what I understand, Mistborn Era 2 happened between the 10-15ish years that separate Stormlight 5 and 6. But at the end of The Lost Metal, Melaan ends up somewhere in the Cognitive Realm where there are a bunch of red-headed people. Assume they're Horneaters escaping from Roshar and the X years* that Era 2 (plus Melaan's epilogue) happened, were the Horneaters roaming the Cognitive Realm or was there a change to when Era 2 took place? * I don't know the number of years between AoL and TLM epilogues.
  4. Thanks for the info, this is definitely an aluminum foil hat theory. I'm just throwing as much spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks. Best idea yet, there's a plan to cultivate Tanavast's cognitive shadow. I'm probably just projecting some, I don't want anything bad to happen to Adolin. (Lift is definitely more likely to be Cultivations next vessel.) I definitely could have done a better job of explaining things. Please don't judge me too much... actually judge me harshly, otherwise, I'll never learn.
  5. To preface this, I'm tired, so I'll probably delete this topic later. Now for the "theory" (please point out all the things I get incorrect): Cultivation is going to die at the end of KoWT. but that's not the end of her story. Since the vessels of Honor and Cultivation were in a relation and Honor died, Cultivation went fully into her shardic intent, while still being able to join Tanavast in the beyond (or whatever it's called). At some point I think Wyndle said something (in Edgedancer?) along the lines of (about Cultivaiton and Honor) I feel like of the shards we know of, Cultivation has the best future sight. So, Cultivation has some plan that "maximizes" growth in the peoples of Roshar (and not necessarily in the good or bad way). The protagonists are going to spend the second half of the Stormlight Archives trying to figure out what Cultivation's plan is. And just to throw this in at the end with nothing to back this up, Adolin has a chance of becoming cultivation, due to his "cultivation"-like relationship with helping Maya "develop" consciousness.
  6. My aluminum foil hat theory that I have no way of backing (and I look forward to being wrong as usual):
  7. I posted this elsewhere, but I'm changing/adding a few things and I still don't think it's very likely.
  8. At the end of HoA, the group burned Atium to keep it from Ruin. Since Ruin access the power due to the lack of Atium, that probably means that Harmony is unable to access that power as well.
  9. I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned or if there's a better place for this, so please correct me if I'm wrong. The other day I was re-listening to the Final Empire, when I got to the part where Kelsier was talking to the gang after destroying the Pits of Hathsin (Chapter 33), when Kelsier says the following: With Era 2 being 300ish years after Era1, could Trell be coming in "force" because it knows that atium's, or The Lost Metal's, "production" will be returning for the first time in over 300 years? (I have a dumb theory on Trell being an Odium-corrupted avatar of Autonomy that makes absolutely no sense) This is definitely up to what Harmony wants to do, or has been doing, with the excess Ruin. I say excess Ruin because, in my mind (I'm tired, so I'm probably not thinking straight), to remain as Harmony (and not become Discord), there needs to be an equal parts Preservation and Ruin, but Ruin has more "power" of the two. So, the excess Ruin needs to go somewhere, maybe Harmony's reuse the Lord Ruler's previous method of "draining" Ruin's power (if it works why change it?). Now if you'll excuse me, I'll need to go rethink my life for a bit. And I look forward to everyone telling me why I'm wrong.
  10. I was referencing the following Wit quote, which is at the end of the RoW epilogue (note that I'm an audio book listener, so if I misunderstand something please correct me): I'm probably overthinking this quote and is probably not very relevant. I just thought it was interesting that Wit mentioned "over a thousand years", rather than closer to how long Odium was "stuck" on Braize. But maybe Odium was able to send "pieces" of himself off of Braize and maybe that was the meeting?
  11. So, we know that Hoid and Odium met over 1000 years ago (according to the RoW Epilogue), and I'm assuming that Odium was stuck on Braize for 4500 years (how long Taln was in Braize), so what was Hoid doing on Braize? Are there any theories on this?
  12. Difficult question, but I'd have to say Adolin, specifically so he can visit Hallandren.
  13. I'm Nick_Nack_Patty_Whack. I've been reading listening to the Cosmere books for the past 3ish years. I can't decide whether I like Mistborn or Stormlight more. I hope everyone has an amazing day.
