  1. I would say if you are a student and you can get some sort of discount price for a Wacom, that will serve you better in the long run. If you were, say, just starting out with digital drawing and design as a hobby I would recommend the Huion (or an XP-Pen, they are similar) and use that before moving on to a Wacom (if you felt the need to do so). I'll be honest. I'm a XP-PEN user and previous wacom user. I see a lot of people saying stuff about pro vs hobbiest and I don't see the XP-PEN as a lesser brand, just less known. Switching from Wacom cintiq to XP-Pen Artist was the best thing. I switched becuase frankly even a 16" cintiq pro was 3x the price of what I paid for the 22" XP-Pen Artist 22R Pro drawing tablet with screen . I wanted to go up in size and a 22" cintiq was even more expensive. I was reserved and kept the box and packaging in case it didn't work out, because I too, was skeptical. Needless to say 1 yr later still using my XP-PEN and very happy with the work I'm able to put out.
