  1. Ah, I see what you mean. Will do
  2. They talked about this theory quite a lot on shardcast. Whatever that death rattle is about it definitely doesn’t bode well.
  3. We have only seen them at one point in their lifecycle - they seem to come to the shattered plains to breed and/or go through some sort of metamorphosis. Maybe that affects their state of mind?
  4. I haven’t seen too much discussion on this, but it certainly has me intrigued as well! Definitely one of the things I am most looking forward to finding out about. Are they sapient? I wonder if they have some similarities with larkins? Could they have been guarding something?
  5. Whoever turns out to be the kandra
  6. My sister lent me the Mistborn trilogy and I somehow managed to start by reading the second book (The Well of Ascension) first... So I guess i wish i had started with The Final Empire.
  7. Yeah, I already had copies of the Emperor’ Soul (which I love) and Secret History when the Arcanum came out. Plus, I was under the impression that, apart from Edgedancer, the others were very, very short. I guess I didn’t feel like it would scratch my itch for epic fantasy. I thought I had caught up with everything but thanks to your comment I know realise I have passed over Allomancer Jak and Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell. Which means I get to read more Sanderson I guess! Thanks!
  8. I’ve read all the published Cosmere books except the White Sand series and Sixth of the Dusk
  9. Hello everyone I just wanted to say thanks for all the content this community produces. I’ve enjoyed the recent shardcasts - they gave my mind more time to hang out in the cosmere. Also, without this community I would have had no idea who “Azure” really is. And I would be in the dark about the myriad of other things that add another layer to Sanderson’s books. Thanks! I’m not sure I have a favourite cosmere book, but my favourite Cosmere moment is when Kaladin says:
  10. Is it possible that we will see the first use of Cosmere-style WMDs? One of Hoid’s comments implies that he expects these to be developed in the future: And we already have a possible mechanism given the explosive nature of interactions between voidlight and anti-voidlight. If Odium’s champion could trigger an explosion that kills both combatants and damages Urithuru that would probably work in his given the speculation in this thread. But it does seem very, very unlikely that a workable weapon could be developed within ten days. Especially as, although the explosions in ROW were impressive, they weren’t exactly WMD level. Still, I wouldn’t be that surprised if Sanderson took us somewhere along those lines.
