  1. I believe Teft dying was a really good and meaningful move from Sanderson's part, also a brave one. It hurts like hell, but hurting is what it has to do . We all want happiness and love for Kaladin, but he was at a point where he had to keep moving, an inflection point was needed for him to reach a higher self (4th ideal). I hate it, but I love it.

    Hi

Oooh, Let's see... I'd say it is a tie between larkins and Ryshadium. Axehounds and Chasmfiends are high on the list as well

    Hi

That is really hard for me to answer, I have some favourite series, but the feeling I got from them is very dependant on the mood or the moment in my life when I read it, so at this moment I am not 100%sure how good would I find them now... Some of them are the mentioned realm of the elderlings by Robin Hobb, the Lightbringer series by Brent weeks, the broken earth by N.K. Jeminish... and I am probably leaving very good books behind because right now they are not popping to my head hahaha

    Hi

Thank you for welcoming me! Yes, I believe it is too early to say for sure If ROW is one of my favourites, everything is so fresh now I started with Mistborn a few years ago, one guy in my class at uni that I did not even know that well was reading, and since I am an avid fantasy reader, I started talking to him. Finally we promised each other that would read one series the other recommended. I recommended Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy, and he recommended me Mistborn. As you can guess, he is nowadays one of my best friends, thank you Brandon for that hahahah. I am glad I started with Mistborn, but I think I would have been hooked with any other cosmere book, since I have enjoyed them all inmensely
  5. I did not mean in any way that it was less, I am really sorry if I expressed myself badly. If I felt dissappointed (although that is still too strong of a word for it) is because of what expected her to be, not because one thing or another is worse o better than the other. I also celebrate ace visibility in a book, specially one as popular as ROW. I do not like their relationship because I did not feel like she had romantic feelings towards Hoid, she openly doesn't even trust him, I just don't buy the relationship, but that is another matter
  6. Wow. That was well put. I am not going to go deep into it, but I got strong vibes that honor is reviving too, I just did not link it with Kal, and all the times they say he's more than just a man... It is definitely looking interesting, and the texts you selected do feel like foreshadowing
  7. It is a very good point, but I believe that having a confident attitude with expressing their feelings and beliefs on one aspect of your life does not extrapolate to all aspects of your life. Also, I think that she gives the impression of being sure of herself a lot because we usually see her from other character's perspectives, but when we can actually hear her thoughts she is not as confident as she makes everyone believe. Also, this kind of things sometimes look way more obvious to the people seeing it from afar, than the one experiencing the situation. Again, I don't want to deny in any way that she is asexual, I just was not so sure when I read the passage.

    Hi

me too, but only because I didn't know him xD. Also Nan Balat is very high in my hate list, even if he is not a major character

    Hi

oh, that's a good question! And also kind of hard to answer without spoilers... probably Gavilar, but not because it is a poorly made character but for the character itself

    Hi

Thank you! Row was an absolute roallercoaster, a very enjoyable one. I'm not sure about my favourite cosmere book... I am between Oathbringer and Row. I believe Oathbringer is better narrated in my taste, while Row's events are maybe more interesting to me overall

    Hi

Thank you! It is really difficult for me to say, since there are awesome characters in many different ways... Jasnah is top tier, and adolin is as well ( I am aware it is not a very popular opinion). I have a lot of fun with Wayne, and Siri is so relatable and I love her. I could go on and on listing characters, when you make me think about it!
  12. Am I the only one who thinks that maybe Jasnah is lesbian and doesn't even realize it? I am perfectly cool with her being ace, i love that there is ace representation in the media, but in a conservative world like Roshar, where gay relationshis are highly uncommon or hidden, wouldn't her line of thought be understandable for someone homosexual? On the other hand, we all assume that she is asexual heteroromantic because she is with Hoid, but don't non-heteros irl struggle to define their sexuality or romantic orientation some times? I am saying this as a bisexual person that had always 100% awareness of my bisexuality, so I don't know if what I am saying makes sense.

    Hi

So I'm Ogo, and I too had the need to create an account after reading ROW. The emotions are just too much. Nice to meet you all!
