  1. Thanks! So I guess the cross series spoiler from RoW are for things I've already read (as per the chronology that I found). I guess I'll try to get into the Mistborn Era 2 now then, if I manage to find a cheap e-reader. Currently planning a big move and more weight in books is not a good idea at the time. Thanks again!
  2. TL;DR, since chronologically speaking Mistborn Era 2 goes after the first 5 books of the STA, is there any spoiler in Mistborn Era 2 as to what happens in the first 5 books of the STA? So, a quick intro. I read TWoK of the STA without knowing anything about the cosmere. I got hooked, but I couldn't find the second one in my local libraries (in Chile so in Spanish). Fastforward, I've been living in the UK for a few years and so I remember this book. I read it again, as well as WoR, and after that I figured out the cosmere. By then I was hooked on the STA so I read Edgedancer and OB. Then, waiting for RoW, I read Warbreaker, The Mistborn original trilogy, and Elantris, alongside with the Arcanum stories associated to those (Emperor's Soul, The Hope of Elantris and The Eleventh Metal). I'm always low on cash so most of the books I get second hand. Since RoW is too new for that, I thought I would now go for Mistborn Era 2, but then I found out that, chronologically, Mistborn Era 2 goes after the first 5 parts of the STA. Now, as I said, I read the 3 first books of the STA before Elantris or the Original Mistborn, and although they go chronologically later, I didn't feel like I was spoiled in any way. Like there was no info on the Mistborn Era 1 on the books of the STA that I read. Is that the case for the rest? Is there any sort of cross-series spoiler on Mistborn Era 2? I imagine no, but there is no harm in asking. Also, the Arcanum Unbounded says that "Mistborn: Secret History" has minor spoilers for Bands of Mourning. How minor are they? WillI affect my experience of Bands of Mourning if I read Secret history before? Thanks! and sorry for so much writing.
  3. Yeah! I didn't mean "real spoilers", more like the usage of concepts that I still don't know. But yeah, people seem to be very sensible about true spoilers. And I did read Edgedancer. I didn't know about the Cosmere before I got TWoK. I like to just browse my favorite library, and one of those days I stumbled upon it and just had to buy it. WRT the characters, well, I see Dalinar and Kaladin as "mains", and I don't really like Shallan all that much. I will not go into details here but I imagine it has to do with the fact that the problems Kaladin and Dalinar face are far more relatable (or so we wish, I think a part of us all wishes to be super honorable), but it is difficult to relate to someone who killed her parents. I also really like Lift.
  4. Thanks all!, so basically I should read Warbraker, Mistborn trilogies (of which I already have the first) and Elantris. Then finish with Arcanum and then, if I have questions wrt things I read hear, is mostly things said by Brandon Sanderson, which I can also find here. I guess not all of that is "necessary" but I don't want to feel I'm spoiling some interesting stuff before reading it, so might as well get to it before reading too much of this forum. Thanks again!
  5. Hi all, my first post here. I first read TWoK back in 2013. I picked it up again recently and then swept through WoR, ED and O. Waiting for Dawnshard and RoW I've been having fun reading this forum, which I recently discovered. However I seem to be missing something. You guys talk about shards, splinters, adonalisium, investiture, nighblood, resonance, and many other concepts, names, like you've been taught about them before, and so end up feeling spoiled. I know I get too eager sometimes and I will definitely miss things when reading, but I fell this goes beyond that. Where is this info? Other books of the cosmere (which I know now it's a single universe and intend on reading soon)? Sanderson interviews? Somewhere else? All of the above? Thanks!
