  1. [Spoilering just in case] So I just re-read Oathbringer and was curious if there's any significance to
  2. Just wait until you read Oathbringer. I don't think you'd call it mental disorders necessarily but he does dive deep into emotions and pain. This isn't really a spoiler but it is a small quote from the final page of Oathbringer.
  3. LMAO, if you type it in all the way you get what I assumed you lead me to find, but if you leave out the apostrophe and the S it shows:
  4. So I started my journey with Malazan, Book of the Fallen today and last night out of curiosity I asked Google how many characters were in it. (There is actually 690). Also I discovered when you ask the same question on WoT it gives the definite answer of 5 (It's 2,782)
  5. Just finished Veil of Spears by Bradley Beaulieu...I love this series so much. I really dig all of the And now I start my Malazan journey. I'm about 50 pages into Gardens of the moon! Also this cracked me up so much when I looked it up on Google last night (There is actualy 690 characters)
  6. I wholeheartedly appreciate your insight, and actually I love when fantasy dives into real issues like faith. At this point I definitely need to finish the series if only to have my own opinion on it too. They hinted at this sort of faith at the end of the first book when
  7. This is a hell of an introduction thread, welcome! Kaladin needs a regular girl I think, not a Knight's Radiant.
  8. Thanks! It felt fitting after my reread of Oathbringer and my username choice.
  9. Interesting...this series is on the backburner for me right now, maybe I'll get through book 3 then throw it back on the backburner again.
  10. Hoid is the man! I love Szeth-Son-Son's story as well...but Dalinar in Oathbringer was incredible. His emotional progress through pain was so well written. I don't think there's a character I dislike reading, or even hate. This is a harder one...Maybe Taravangian, that sneaky bastard.
  11. I'd kill to live somewhere that has land in the woods. I would love to be able to have my own section of woods to enjoy and maintain. I'm not sure where this would be however...I'd also have to look into the wildlife in the area so as to not die from grizzleys or get overrun by termites or something.
  12. Daniel Greene is great! Elliot Brooks is fun. I recently discovered Mike's Book Reviews too which I don't agree with everything he says but I like some of his content. I also keep an eye on Den of Geek's fantasy section, also Tor.com and occasionally other publishers that put out series that I like.
  13. Marai Nikki (Future Diary) is my favorite! I love this series. 24 episodes about and the POV is necessary. A god is dying and he chooses 12 people with different diaries to give their diaries abilities, the last one alive becomes God. Lot of plot twists and whatnot. It's a show that can be real silly one minute and very serious or bloody the next. I'm into the newish darker intelligently written ones like Tokyo Ghoul and Psycho Pass as well.
  14. You're right, looks like it was a part of some fan art collection apparently...my bad!
  15. This is probably one of the saddest moments in C&H. I recently however discovered my old collections at my parents and reread through all of them. Oh the nostalgia! Edit: This isn't a real strip, apparently it's fan-made.
