That is actually an interesting paradox. If someone would be at peace, accepting themselves for what they were, then no matter how much they ask people to accept themselves, the people would want to be that person, and not themselves.. Stick is a philosopher.

I always thought of it as a spiritual thing. We already know that stormlight comes from the spiritual realm from this quote by the Stormfather. So what I always thought was if the gemstone got eroded, then it's spirit web would also be very slightly damaged, creating an exit for stormlight. When it gets cut neatly, it reminds the gemstone of how it used to be before it got eroded, and the spirit web slightly seals up, but not completely.

Shards can see in many places at once, so Hoid probably puts the message where he thinks the Shard-holder would look. He probably gets the place right using Fortune.

I think the oaths have the same essence, but the words change in different Radiants. I'm pretty sure being a Bondsmith means becoming a better person over time. So the spren probably choose similar people.

You could also drown someone in the beads in Shadesmar. That would kill them, right?

If a person dies in the Physical Realm, they appear in the Cognitive Realm for a little while. If a person goes into the Cognitive Realm (via a Perpendicularity) and then dies, what would happen? Would they just take longer to die?

On my recent reread of OB, I realised that Lunamor can hear the Beats. I did some more research, and found out that the Rhythms permeate the entire cosmere, and Seekers can sense it on Roshar. This got me thinking. Since Horneaters can hear the Rhythms, can Herdazians too? Or can Horneaters only hear it because of some kind of resonance from Cultivation's Perpendicularity? Can Cultivation, or any of the Shards sense the Rhythms? (also this is my first post, so please tell me if i need to create spoiler tags or something)
