  1. Prevention of creating more Koloss, essentially. And re-integrate them into human society. This raises some interesting ethical questions around whether it is right to preserve Koloss culture or help modernize them into what humans see as ideal/correct. Always relevant: “The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon.” - Brandon Sanderson, The Way of Kings
  2. Catching on to those Rosharan curse words quickly. That is so perfect haha.
  3. I agree, Rory is seriously under-appreciated! Unfortunately I haven't seen much Doctor Who in a while, but I'm most familiar with the David Tennant (10) and Matt Smith (11) eras.
  4. Will be interesting to hear more about the cause as Scadrial progresses technologically...
  5. Took a few years of lessons a while back, but now only play occasionally as a hobby! Great way to relax and focus. Most recent song learned is "Clocks" by Coldplay.
  6. This is awesome, thanks for sharing!! I'm impressed with the Python script and agree with Gderu that the next step as a project opportunity would be building it out with a GUI. Best of luck with the refining!
  7. Much different results than the new "official" quiz, but very fun to take! Here I got Elsecaller (65%), whereas the "official" quiz pegged me as a Truthwatcher (16% here). Very creative questions - it was interesting to think through what I might do in the different scenarios. Thanks for making this!
  8. Hey, that's awesome!! I'll happily participate in these. I know they aren't scientific or anything but I'm a bit of a sucker for personality quizzes.
  9. I certainly did!! I got Truthwatcher with Skybreaker as a close second. "Truthwatcher oaths are themed around seeking to find ultimate truth and sharing it...The Truthwatchers are seen as quiet, largely known as the most scholarly Order of Knights Radiant...In general, they tend to be reserved, particularly in person, though a small minority of Truthwatchers are greatly concerned with the actions of the powerful and might be likened to investigative reporters. These make their opinions known loudly and forcefully, particularly if they think someone in power is abusing that power or lying about fundamental truths...Among the Knights Radiant, the Truthwatchers tend to be those who hold the knowledge and secrets of Surgebinding and are the ones to discover many of the newer advances in things like fabrial technology." What about you R J? (or if anyone else feels like sharing )
  10. Thank you all for the welcome! To answer Mist's question: Well, that's a tough one. I quite enjoyed reading Warbreaker, since there were several unique, well-done characters (as usual) and an almost never-ending surprise turn of events. However, it's a bit of a cop-out choice as a standalone book. I'm very interested in learning more about how it relates to the other books in the Cosmere, but don't want to get too into it here for fear of potentially mentioning spoilers. Speaking of, I will definitely be checking out the subforums!
  11. Hello Cosmere! A friend introduced me to The Way of Kings back in 2018, and I've spent a majority of my free time reading Brandon Sanderson novels since then. That includes both Cosmere (everything but White Sand) and non-Cosmere works (primarily Skyward and The Reckoners). Safe to say, I am now a complete Branderson nerd. Currently I'm due for a re-read of the SA books in preparation for Rhythm of War and am eagerly awaiting my shipment of the Call to Adventure: Stormlight Archive game. I enjoy many fandoms, but this is the first official fan community I've joined, so please let me know if you have any advice for interacting on this site/in the forums. Excited to be here!
