Based on the rumors (and minutes from city council meetings) suddenly flying around, the most likely spot for the temple is going to be like 3 blocks from my house.

Well that was . . . whelming. Certainly his writing improved between now and then. And the whole bridgeman arc, which is probably my favorite part of Stormlight, is kind of half baked here. And the magic system seemed too much like "explaining new powers when they're needed," which he got better at. But hey, some of the characters were kind of intriguing.

Yeah I haven't been within 3 hours of a temple at any point in the last 10 years.

It will be pretty much the only time in your life that you won't hear the babble of tiny voices during the sacrament, so enjoy it while it lasts.

It's okay to call us Latter-day Saints though, if it weren't then the name of the Church would make no sense.

I quite enjoyed my foreign-language stateside mission.

Science and religion and their relationship is one of my favorite subjects as well, although at the moment I have nothing to add beyond what was already said.

For what it's worth, not only does my faith help me deal with my mental health issues on its own, but my religion specifically played a role in getting me to see mental health professionals.

So is everyone here a teenager but me?

I was assigned a talk on Tuesday to give today. But for some reason my wife wanted to be the third speaker so if my talk is too short that's her problem.

. . . when Yumi is floating on the tree to get to Torio City, it is trying to return to the shroud but she forces her will on it to remain a tree. In other words, she convinces it to be a stick.

This weekend I got to go to my friends' sealing in the LA temple and on the way back I drove through part of my mission.
