    What do you do now?

    1. Try to find a mountain cave where you and your birds can live out your days in peace.
    2. Try training your birds to commit petty crimes, with the eventual goal of running a global racketeering ring with your avian minions picking pockets, snatching purses, pulling off major heists, etc.
    3. Try hiding in an anachronistic phone booth. I think that worked in the move The Birds, right?
    4. Pretend that you are a bird and see if they loose interest in following you.

    This is highly entertaining.

    Are we allowed to vote for ourselves this time?

    Sorry I wasn’t on to answer, I’ve been super busy. No you are not.

    Anyways, we have our winner! @BreezeCauthon as Wit has overthrown @Kingsdaughter613 as Thaidakar! Congrats Breeze and thanks for playing Kings.

    The next round will be @Shard of Reading as Wayne against @yeshevishman as Adolin. Wednesday at 10 AM CST is your due date. Good luck!

    We also have terrible roads and idiotic traffic laws. Not to mention bikers and pedestrians who never follow the laws and truck drivers who won’t use truck routes. Oh, and the DoT intentionally messes with the lights and keeps blocking emergency routes with concrete sidewalks or narrowing streets to the point that fire engines can’t turn. And there is NEVER enough parking.

    Between which you have to be A: a very good driver and B: a very aggressive one. Defensive driving in NYC means being aggressive and knowing when to take a risk and knowing when following the traffic law is stupid and WILL get you killed. (Cough... Gowanus to the Brooklyn Battery... cough) It also means learning to ignore curses and horns. Being non-aggressive is more likely to get you into an accident, honestly.

    Try driving the Jackie sometime. Two tiny, narrow lanes and multiple hairpin turns in succession. Or the aforementioned Gowanus, where it’s safer to enter long before its legal to do so!

    The problem tends to occur when we take this kind of driving elsewhere, where being aggressive isn’t safer or when tourists come to New York and fail to realize that aggressive = safe here.

    And this is why I have no care to visit big cities. Lincoln is plenty for me.

    I might have confused things with my punishing puns...

    @BreezeCauthon (who is roasting as Wit) can't do the original match up of Wit VS Felt right now because of time constraints.

    Seems like there are 3 viable options for the current round:

    1) Felt (that's me) VS Adolin ( @yeshevishman) or Felt VS Nikli (@Matrim's Dice), or

    2) if it works with @BreezeCauthon's schedule, have, as you said, Wit ( @BreezeCauthon) VS Thaidakar (@Kingsdaughter613). Or

    3) Pick a new random matchup, excluding Wit (BreezeCauthon) if he's too busy to do a roast right now.

    I don't have a preference for any of the above, but let me know what you decide, mighty and majestic arbiter of the Ghanders that are wont to flaffle.

    That’s my bad, I didn’t look at my list before changing things. Since This will now push the due date back so it won’t work for @Kingsdaughter613, I’ll go ahead and switch it up completely. @Kingsdaughter613 and @BreezeCauthon will still be against each other in case they have started writing roasts, but it will be later on.

    SO, this round will actually be @Hoiditthroughthegrapevine as Felt against @Matrim's Dice as Nikli. Due date is Sunday at noon (12 PM CST) Hope this works for everybody, sorry for all the confusion.

    Great idea!

    Hey @Ghanderflaffle, I haven't started my roast yet, so it would work to pair @BreezeCauthon and @Kingsdaughter613 for the next round and I could go up against one of the other 2 remaining Rosharans.

    Let me know if this works, I too have Felt the pressures of an unachievable deadline, and have Wit-nessed the tradegy of trying to Nikli and dime a roast by giving in to the pressure to Adolin that was sloppy and rushed. Far better to Marsh-al another roaster than to Kel the competition and force a Wayne by default. I think you will find that this solution has an sword-nimi of the problems that would have otherwise forced BreezeCauthon to concede.

    Nice punning. Kell is very much in favor of this swap.

    I generally try to keep matchups random, but if you’re both for it then we can switch it up. It will now be Wit against Thaidakar. Now due Friday at 8 PM (but if you post it later I won’t be on)

  6. I was giving it a little longer, but looks like we aren’t getting it. (I’ve also had some extreme clashing between speech not quite being over, tennis starting, and going back to work, so I haven’t been on a ton.)

    Welcome to the second iteration of Roshar vs Scadrial! (That I know of) Full RoW spoilers are allowed, so please read competitors roasts with caution. The teams are:

    Roshar:

    @Random Bystander as Nightblood

    @yeshevishman as Adolin

    @BreezeCauthon as Wit

    @Matrim's Dice as Nikli

    Scadrial:

    @Kingsdaughter613 as Thaidakar

    @The Unknown Order as Marsh

    @Shard of Reading as Wayne

    @Hoiditthroughthegrapevine as Felt

    This tournament will be all duels. No voting for yourself, please vote even if you are eliminated. The first pair up will be @Random Bystander against @The Unknown Order You have 3 days to complete your roasts, so March 4th at 9 PM (CST). Good luck!
