December! Merry Christmas what do you mean it's in a month and to all you upside-down folks, happy summer and no school? 

I FORGOT TO TELL MY ROW STORY. When I went to the bookstore, being me, I instantly asked everyone waiting outside for it to open if they were there for ROW. Most were. One was on the Shard but super inactive, and another was in the Facebook groups. I chatted with them and we converted another guy, got him to buy TWOK

I'm BORED. Quarantine STINKS.

We all know this. We all hate it. We all know that I said those words to spark off the Fellowship of the Thing, but they are so true. Usually, around this time of year, we're starting to decorate; make cookies, go caroling, throw a party. And yet we can't. We can't participate in our communities or go travel; we have to sit at home and content ourselves by typing words onto a forum website called the 17th Shard.

Fortunately, that very website has a wonderful community of a ton of brilliant people. We've got people from all over the world in all kinds of professions.

So when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you a Shardful of amazing people, make a scudding ton of lemonade.

I feel the need to celebrate this season and community by doing... something. I'm not sure yet. That's why I need all you brilliant geniuses to pitch in your massive brains and come up with a plethora of things that we can do during the Christmas season. We could make art galleries, a Christmas Stories thread; heck, maybe even some weird form of a Gift Exchange or Secret Santa. Writing, music, drawings, sculptures, stories; whatever you can think of.

We're gonna need something to do when we can't celebrate Christmas like we usually do.

I won't be participating this year...

I owe three more expressions of thanks so let us begin.

1) Though I cannot claim to be closer than the average fan and even though he won't see this. I would like to express thanks nonetheless to Brandon for the work that he produces and the dedication that he has to us the fans!!

2) Next I would like to thank all of the mods on the shard. Without your work to make this place as awesome as it is the shard would undoubtedly be worse off for!!

3) I would like to at this juncture specifically offer thanks to those sharders who decided to follow me. I am grateful to all of you simply for being as awesome as you are. This place would not offer the kind of experience that it does without you. Therefore, from the depths of my heart I thank you!!

Judging by the fact that your feed is mostly SE, I take it that your first GM is enjoyable? 

My lunch table is kinda awkward. The other 3 people are out because ‘rona. Good thing I don’t mind sitting alone and reading, but people keep looking at me. Social anxiety.
