  1. Just some interesting ideas of what some unknown god metals could do for Allomancy, Feruchemy, and Hemalurgy. Anyone have any cool ideas they want to share? Allomantic Pull - hear surface thought of any sentient being. Allomantic Push - Project thoughts to any sentient being Basically just telepathy. Feruchemy - Store physical realm presence. When you are storing, you become less tangible and can phase through objects. If stored more rapidly, you will be pulled into the cognitive realm. Tapping rapidly enough will pull you back into the physical realm. Tapping it in the physical realm will also hide you from those who have methods of sensing you through the cognitive and spiritual realm. Feruchemy - Store external kinetic investiture. Basically you can siphon other abilities that are actively being used. Tapping it will allow you to use that ability until your metal mind is drained. You can also take in external investiture like storm light as it is always leaking out of gems.
  2. Brandon sanderson has confirmed that Mraize is native to Roshar, so they wouldn't be brothers.
  3. It's when Shallan first meets the Ghost Bloods.
  4. "Of the half-dozen or so people in the room, one drew her attention most. Straight-backed, with jet-black hair, he wore white clothing and stood in front of the room’s crackling hearth. He reminded her of someone, a man from her childhood. The messenger with the smiling eyes, the enigma who knew so much. Two blind men waited at the end of an era, contemplating beauty. . . ." (WOR) This got me wondering if there is some deep connection between hoid and Mraize. Why would Shallan think of Hoid by just looking at Mraize's back? I don't really have anything solid but the way this is written just feels like it means something. It has a feeling of light and dark, or Mraize is something like Hoids future adversary. Like they are the two blind men contemplating beauty. This is all based on the above quote and I wished I new more about Mraize. I am probably overanalyzing this but it makes Mraize someone to take note of.
  5. I as wonder if things from different cognitive realm locations could even show up as a bead or flame. As Nightblood is from Nalthis.
  6. Would Nightblood have a bead, a flame, or something different all together in shadesmar?
  7. There are many more, but those two were the first to come to mind.
  8. Atium I always picture as a black beed even though it is clearly described as silvery, I can never seem to mentally agree on the size of Nightblood, and all shard blades look like they come out of final fantasy 10.
  9. Yeah. The Excisors plays an important role in all of this. A lot of the theories here make reasonable points, but I can't get behind any of this without know what the Excisors is.
  10. I have the same problem with Renarin. He always seems to have feathery blonde hair.
  11. I have been listing to the stormlight audiobooks will working and driving and I found that I would sometimes subconsciously picturing the characters incorrectly. For instance, Kaladin has long loose hair, but I can't help but picture him with a ponytail. I'm sure that he could have it tied back but when his hair is mentioned it is always loose and covering his brands. I also never seem to picture the brands unless I am think about them. I also can't seem to help but picture Dalinar with a beard. Some times he is clean shaven but then all of a sudden he has a neatly trimmed beard. There are many more examples but I want to know if anyone else can't help but picture characters differently. Also do you picture the story play out like a cartoon or real life? I mostly see it as a cartoon but I sometimes subconsciously switch to life like.
  12. Oh I know that she is the best choice for queen, dicpite being the second choice to Adolin, which is kind of an insult to Jasnah in a way.
  13. I loved Denth, but to be honest this book did grab really grab my attention with the characters. Its probably due to Siri taking up a good portion of the book and I found her POV pretty boring. I also liked Vivienna and her character growth. I wish that she could have been more focused on over Siri. I don't hate Siri and the story was still pretty good. Can't wait for the sequel and get more details on Vasher, Vivenna, and Nightblood.
