Doomstick

Guys, I’ve started watching anime. 
 

yes yes. I did

And I probably started out with the worst one to start out with: Demon Slayer. 
 

After I  finish it, I’m only gonna watch ones that don’t have that much gore. 
So probably no TV-MA ones. But if you guys have any recommendations I would happily take them. I really only have Netflix to watch them on:( 

Anyways, SCHOOL IS STARTING SOON!! And I’m not excited.

Ok so I'm watching howls moving castle which is the first anime thing i have ever watched and 

i did not know it was possible to fall for anime men

so we all know that the stars we see in the night sky are billions of years old n stuff. like, many of the stars we see have already exploded and we just don’t know yet because they’re so far away and the light hasn’t reached us yet. we all know that.

but

the logical extension of “we see the past”

is “the future sees us”

Picture a planet, galaxies away. right now, at this instant, it’s a barren wasteland. no life at all. sometime in the future, some nice primordial soup comes around on this planet. then a little mitochondria will get quirky and decide to be alive. cue evolution. this species will grow to create language, civilization. eventually they’ll create telescopes, computers. and when they turn those telescopes on our little galaxy….they’ll see us. as we are now. we’ll be long gone. perhaps our entire galaxy will have dissipated. but they’ll see us.

Hey, I have a question for y'all. I just looked at DoomStick's page and I realized that he plays Civ! First person besides myself, my dad, and the friends I know who I forced into it to play! So, who else plays Civ or EU4 or HOI4 or CK3 or Humankind or one of those other nerdy Grand Strategy or turn-based 4x games?

I have returned for some updates to my status:
1: I have finished my first knitting project! (a scarf) it took me many months.

2: I was in central Europe with my orchestra last week, which was fun. Some strange nicknames arose.

3: Bottesinis Tre Gran Duetti for two double basses are really good (I especially like #2)

4:  the time to consume the Dubious Spruce Beer approaches (if you know you know)

Nah, that's not it. It's my Shardiversary!

Two years here, and a *whole bunch* of incredible people who've been added to my life. Seriously, I can't imagine my life without the Shard anymore, y'all have made an imprint in my heart. holy scud that sounds cheesy...

I know I'm going to end up forgetting people no matter what, but I still want to try to remember everyone.

Love you all, here's to another...year and then I'm probably leaving on my mission :).

 

I'm very proud of my phone dealing with all those tags.

It's weird to think of myself as one of the old guard, I'm so new here and I still see people who have been here long enough to put me to shame.

And yet, they've all gone away, or at least into inactivity. Of the active sharders I'm one of the oldest. It's kinda wild. I have mixed feelings about this.

Why are fictional characters always 17 when they have to face something big?
