  1. @Silva It is gratifying to know that there is such interest in some of my proposed scrolls. Thing is, I am a full-time MBA student, on top of being the President of Moshe's Can Club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/moshescanclub/ Here is whatever I have that is Jewish/Judaism-related, some of which I am still drafting, and some which are complete: Judaism through the lens of popular culture: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/08/judaism-in-popular-mainstream-culture.html How Naomi Novik's Spinning Silver Unravels Rumpelstiltskin's Anti-Semitism http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/08/how-naomi-noviks-spinning-silver.html Sharon Shinn's Samaria Series: When Angels Sing to Spaceships http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/08/sharon-shinns-samaria-series-when.html Moshe: The Man In The Coppermind. Scroll 1: Fun Facts http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/08/moshe-man-behind-copper-mind-scroll-1.html Moshe: The Man in the Coppermind. Scroll 6. What Is In A Moshe Feder? http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/moshe-man-in-coppermind-scroll-6-what.html Please note that the only thing remotely Jewish about me is my name, with its Hebrew root that means fertile plain. This means that while I do know more about Judaism than the average Gentile, I would absolutely have to do a lot more research than you, an Orthodox Jew (who has been steeped in all things Jewish since you were born) in order to make sure that all my information is kosher, so to speak. It involves a lot of double-checking and cross-checking to make sure that I got my facts straight. It is not easy trying to pretend to be an authority on all things Jewish, when you are an Indonesian-Chinese gal like me. =P Many of the proposed scrolls are actually contingent on me getting the needed information from Moshe in the first place, on top of me finding time to scribe them, so unfortunately, I don't have any time estimates for any of them that I can give you. I will however take note of which people have expressed more interest in, like a behind-the-scenes look at how Scroll 2 came to be, Judaism in The Stormlight Archive and Shahshouka, and try to work on those first, but again I can't make any promises. While all this is far more fun and gratifying to work on, my MBA class readings and assignments have to come first, in the grand scheme of things. =P In the meantime, have a look here: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Moash And if you are inclined to, you can just randomly type in names you think may be Hebrew-related and then see if you get a search result or something. Hope that answers your question. If not, please let me know and I will do my best to clarify. =D And thank you so much for taking the time to read my scrolls! I hope they were an enjoyable read! =D
  2. @Toaster Retribution Yes, it is: https://metro.co.uk/2018/09/09/rosh-hashanah-2018-happy-jewish-new-year-when-is-it-greetings-and-what-does-shana-tova-mean-7917291/
  3. @Zellyia It is an invitation, not an order LOL. You are more than welcome to decline the invitation if you are not really into Facebook. We probably wouldn't be doing much more than discussing Cosmere stuff, be an informal writing group maybe and sort of a foodie club. =P
  4. Dear moderator, I can't seem to delete this post, so please don't come after me. Thanks!
  5. @Toaster Retribution Ah, what types of substances do you imbibe instead? =P Dear @Toaster Retribution and @Zellyia As the "shoo-in candidate for presidency of Moshe Feder's Can Club", I am hereby issuing you both a membership invitation to that aforementioned club. You can apply for membership here if you are interested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/moshecanclub/?hc_ref=ARRHVSBv_gRuxuaONFJ5czoWrRSF8SDvb3n5lFcVFa_Zkyioyj-A4ZG7IAYSW1EmrsY&__xts__[0]=68.ARA-Zcn2Mnb-F9m6lnQx6zIhSzlsNSCFILWzJTrG5YxT7qa0BeK9l8j_SQTHegxq-SPrkTc4z8mPIVvc1TQXrRnQ-Rw0I2oMHFqFBItmAS16850XCVvMTfaWwCro2rn1sRgnIB6OZ0Q3P-EZ9P6EwfeP-egqCrz-9bd-h6vacvLgwqhjgdijiuk&__tn__=C-R
  6. @Toaster Retribution Gotcha. I think you'll really be surprised how it all came about. =P @Toaster Retribution I have shared your lovely comment with Moshe here: @Toaster Retribution @Zellyia Possible Scroll 11: Moash's Anne Horneater Stew (basically Moshe's mother's recipe for cholent, a Jewish bean stew, to be named after Moshe/Moash and his mother Anne. Need to run this by Moshe first. Possible Scroll 12: Shakshouka in the kitchen with Moshe: Cracking the most crack version of the Shakshouka Possible Scroll 14: Consequences of Sabbath Desecration in The Forests of Hell Possible Scroll 15: The Shattering and the Kabbalah (Cosmere level) Possible Scroll 16: Vorinism and Judaism (Stormlight Archive)
  7. @Zellyia It's my absolute pleasure. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my scrolls. Please feel to share them with friends and family members who may be interested to read them. If there is one scroll to share, I would highly recommend http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/through-mind-darkly.html Someone I know personally actually decided to get A Way of Kings after reading Scroll 2: Through A Mind, Darkly, so that scroll is the scroll to share if you want to try and induce your friends and family members into checking the series out, so you can have someone to play the Call to Adventure: Stormlight Archive edition with when it comes out next year or something. =P @Toaster Retribution My pleasure! And thank you so much for taking the time to craft such a lovely comment that I could share with others on Scroll 7! =D @Toaster Retribution and @Zellyia Possible Scroll 8: A behind-the-scenes look at how Scroll 2 came to be written Possible Scroll 9: Fun Facts 2 Possible Scroll 10: The most epic fantasy eulogy of all time: a behind the scenes look at how Brandon Sanderson came to complete The Wheel of Time series (with additional insight from Moshe Feder) Are all of the three possible scrolls of interest to anyone? Is there a particular scroll you would like to read more out of the three? Any comments, questions, recommedations or feedback are welcome!
  8. @Toaster Retribution It is now live: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/reader-comments-from-scroll-2-through.html Please take a look and see if there is something I missed or got wrong, so I can go ahead and correct it.
  9. That is a beautiful comment @Toaster Retribution Thank you so much for sharing. Is this what you want your attribution to be: "Sharder Toaster Retribution"? @Toaster Retribution If you don't mind, may I edit your comments as such: Well, I do suffer from mental health issues myself, although I do have something more like OCD. Stories like the ones Moshe are contributing to are an important way to shed light on these sorts of things, and also to make the people suffering feel that they are not alone. It's always important to be kind and understanding toward people who suffer from different mental issues. I think it is hard to understand what it is like if you don’t have any. So be kind and respectful. And to those who suffer from these things: keep on fighting. Every time you can do something that normal people can, you beat the disease. Please let me know. =D
  10. @Toaster Retribution Thanks! =D @Toaster Retribution Update: Moshe is currently busy living his life right now, so I will not be badgering him for more stories. In the meantime, Scroll 7: https://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/reader-comments-from-scroll-2-through.html will be a compilation of reader comments to Scroll 2: Through A Mind, Darkly: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/through-mind-darkly.html Sharders, if you have any comments you'd like me to include in Scroll 7, please reply to this thread with your comment and how you would like to be attributed/links to personal homepage etc. I am a firm proponent of the First Amendment and freedom of speech, but please note that I will NOT be including any hateful comments in Scroll 7. So, if you are hoping to get your hateful comments inscribed in Scroll 7, I'd kindly advise you to go do something else that would be a more productive use of your time. That being said, I will accept any alternative thoughts about mental health issues, so for example, if you have say an Eastern perspective instead of a Western perspective regarding mental health, please feel free to share and I'd be more than happy to include them in Scroll 7. Thanks! =D
  11. Kind of meta error but yeah thanks for the head's up. Let me go behead Moash right now with my Caesura sword. =D @Toaster Retribution Why is 17Shard telling me this: You are not allowed to give reputation to this user."
  12. Probably did. Thanks for the update. I'll go hunt Moash down right now. =D For killing Eholkar (sic). @Toaster Retribution You wouldn't happen to know which Scroll you found it in do you? I'd rather not have to comb through all six of them. =P
  13. I did a brief write-up of the Lightweaver Foundation here: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/brandon-sandersons-lightweaver.html
  14. @Toaster Retribution It is, isn't it? Felt that it was too interesting to keep to myself, so I'd just thought I'd share it with you all. =D Warmest Regards Sharon After debating with myself for quite a while, I have decided to release the documentation of what transpired immediately following Scroll 4, as I have been quite taken aback by the read count of Scroll 4 despite having only released Scroll 4 this morning, which perhaps indicate that fans might be interested to read more (or maybe not? I have no idea). Here is Scroll 5: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/moshe-man-in-coppermind-scroll-5-how.html Please note that this scroll in no way advocate or endorse fans behaving in this manner when trying to meet authors. Here is the sixth scroll: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/moshe-man-in-coppermind-scroll-6-what.html which is basically just Moshe and I discussing the origin of his name and its possible connection to a certain Stormlight character named Moash. Basically out of material to craft any more scrolls until I can get more information from Moshe. Till then, hope you enjoy the above posted scrolls. In case anyone is interested to learn more about Brandon Sanderson's charity The Lightweaver Foundation, I have done a brief write-up here: http://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/brandon-sandersons-lightweaver.html
  15. Here is my blog post: https://shazarose.blogspot.com/2018/09/two-men-manuscript-how-i-got-moshe-to.html which documents a conversation I had with Moshe Feder on why he decided to acquire Elantris. It touches on other topics as well, but I have kept those in because some readers might be interested in them. If you are not, you can always skip around to just the Elantris parts. =D
