  1. @Stark, I’m going to take your reticence to embrace my handle as an extreme compliment! Thank you for explaining that you hid the post to preserve the integrity of the thread. I had read the spoiler policy, and couldn’t think of why we were protecting theoretical spoilers! Makes sense now.
  2. Stark, I like this train of thought very much. This is the type of mischief I would very much like to be a part of! Question before I proceed down the rabbit hole with you... is it necessary to hide the contents of theoretical storylines? I’m new to these boards and trying to figure out what constitutes a SPOILER and what doesn’t. Also haven’t quite figured out how to do the hidden text thing via mobile device. Is it the eyeball button that does it?
  3. I just hope whatever Brandon does with this storyline, he doesn’t just turn Adolin into a plain ol’ Radiant. I kind of like that he is the “mortal” one of the group. There is opportunity here to do something interesting. Just spit balling here... what if... Maya returns to sentience because of Adolins constant love and attention. Since he was the one making the overtures, in essence, Adolin is the “Spren” who bonded the Radiant. So what if Maya becomes a Shadesmar “Radiant” (I’m sure her awakening in Shadesmar will be a big deal amongst the rest of the Spren), and she has the ability to summon Adolin to Shadesmar and Adolin becomes a weapon when materializing in the Spren world. I realize that’s pretty unrealistic... even by fantasy standards. Just really hoping we get something clever and that they use the unusual nature of a Spren rising from the dead as a way to differentiate Adolin from the KR’s not just make him another one of them.
  4. Since we are on the topic of Kaladin’s possible love interest... what about Azure/Vivenna? I feel like they had some pretty good chemistry, and she is clearly destined to return to this story with some prominence. She IS searching for the Blade that is in the possession of the former Assassin that has sworn an Oath to Dalinar. There would be some great built in intrigue and possible friction points in regards to their respective goals.
  5. If we don’t get an interlude or a short story about a Herdazian who has bonded two Spren, and has gone off on a madcap buddy comedy road trip adventure... I’m going to be disappointed.
  6. I’ve never really been one for fraternity life... organized friendships aren’t my general gig... but if there is free beer, this is negotiable.
  7. I don’t like sweets... and as a borderline emphysemic, I can’t afford to give away any of my breaths. But thanks for the tips!
  8. This is pretty easy for me. Mistborn was the first Sanderson book I read. It’s still my favorite. From the moment Kelsier was described, I was intrigued by his character. The combination of “Devil May Care” outward attitude, burning intensity, and fierce loyalty to his friends and his cause... pretty much cemented him as my favorite. Close second is Szeth.
  9. Hello, I’ve come to know of this place through an addiction to incredibly nerdy podcasts. The scope of this forum is a bit overwhelming to me as a guy who is not too apt at technology. I have read all of the Cosmere books (not including the graphic novels). I’ve not read any of the young adult novels, not sure of their relevance to the cosmere at large, so I’ve not taken the plunge. I’d happily take advisement on the subject from those that have an opinion on the matter. I look forward to mutually enjoyable conversations about the Cosmere and its many Worlds.
  10. I can’t help but think of a dark Indian style curry when I think of the gravy.
  11. The description of the making of Chouta most closely resembles how Falafel is made. I envision Soalcast meat to be similar to Textured Vegetable Protein. Soul cast grain could be our version of a bulgar wheat. Grind it up with some spices and some sort of binding ingredient, form it into meatballs and fry it up... I may have some free time coming up in the next few weeks. I may attempt making a chouta...
