  1. I am very surprised to see that an emoji can be a username...

  2. I don't think we've seen Division and Tension Fused, but that does not mean they have not revealed themselves yet to Radiant forces. When Kaladin first encounters Pursuer, he's seventh variety. Readers then are shown 2 more varieties, Deepest Ones and Altered Ones. Both varieties are far from frontline units Kaladin would be likely to encounter, and especially Deepest ones were called "new brand of Fused" by Venli when they were revealed, and Urithiru forces were clearly taken by surprise, not expecting enemy with this kind of ability. So with Deepest Ones probably not included in those first 7, Division or Tension Fused already appeared, jut not in front of readers.
  3. I really disliked way Jasnah was handled in WoR, mostly because right before her 'death' she was given extra depth to her character and relevant role in the story. On the other hand, with Eshonai her new role as Radiant with Timbre was clearly passed on to Venli, so unlike with Jasnah, there is no that "wait, that death smells fake". So what I'm saying is, I wouldn't entirely rule out Eshonai coming back in present time, since it's kind of weird to have 'main' character with more screentime in flashbacks than in 'real time'. To that end, I want to make an observation. According to current knowledge about them, Fused are essentially souls of ancient Singer Radiants (or otherwise, Invested counterparts) that are either controlling their hosts, or more likely, getting 'fused' with them. Assuming fusion is the case, it probably goes something like that: Where Fused will is stronger than the host, he ends up in control of resulting amalgamation. When host will is stronger, he might keep on resisting like Eshonai did, and when neither is stronger, they end up mixing and insane, like many Fused we've seen. That is to say - Eshonai might have had enough willpower to become 'leading personality' in her Fused now that it's dead and returned to Braize or Everstorm, and because of that might still return in a way that does not make it cheap ressurection but important plot point. (Alternatively, she did not overtake her Fused, but by bonding with a Radiant spren, her cognitive shadow became strong enough to follow same rules those ancient Singers did instead of just passing into Beyond)
  4. One cannot become squire without right mindset, so 'protecting' king might have been relevant for his squireship, but I doubt it counted for his Radiant'ship, as he wasn't ready to swear that Ideal until end of third book. But there are two better arguments against him not being squire. First of all, Lopen being Lopen, would certainly try to keep practicing using Stormlight in Urithiru while Kaladin was away, and if he was capable, he would tell everyone about it. Secondly, his spren appears to be barely sentient at the end of Oathbringer, indicating that Nahel Bond was formed very recently (or at least some time after Teft did his bond). Altough, Lopen being Lopen, it is possible that his spren, even after regaining his mind, would be 'Lopeny', other Honorspren wouldn't even think about forming bond before that one time when they came to observe Brige Four windrunning training, so Lopen having earlier spren bond would have to mean just another runaway Honorspren, which is very unlikely.
  5. If I recall correctly, there is something like an hour between Radiant leaving squire behind and said squire losing his powers. And Kaladin left Elhokar with Lopen, then rushed to fight Szeth. There is no clear indication of how much exactly time passed between main army arriving to Uthiru and sending for others in warcamps, but it's entirely possible that it was done before Lopen lost his squire powers.
  6. I know it's very easy to be misunderstood on internet, so as a rule I assume nobody means anything bad (unless he really tries hard to prove otherwise), so yeah, don't worry about it. As for WoBs, both of those don't really confirm or deny anything regarding which way numbers theory goes. First one was whether Adonalsium took existing planet and placed continent on it or if he created whole system from scratch. There was no reason for Brandon to expand and say if some Shard made futher changes to it, especially if he intends to reveal which way planet<->shard numerology goes in some future books (as "Big RAFO" would indicate). Second WoB does, clearly, for certain, state that there are shards with no associated numbers, yes. Which does support planet=>shard theory, as it provides means for deciding which shard gets to have number or not. But as far as Roshar is concerned, there are multiple elements that do not fit if it's truly system that imposes numbers. Cultivation nearly does not appear at all, which might be blamed for lack of any 10-links related to her, or it's possible that she simly has no number associated, and that's why there are no links. Braize is most solid argument, because 10 outer planets suggest 10-rule spans entire system, so there would be no reason for Braize to behave differently unless it was influenced by Odium residing there. And while it's bit of a stretch, there are several cases of things on Roshar going 9-to-10 or 10-to-9, starting from Taln, 10th Herald that was not supposed to be one, Dalinar expecting 10 Radiants on his side, getting only 9, and then Wit becoming 10th (that does ignore new Windrunners, Dustbringer, and that 2 of them are technically Heralds, but Dalinar did cearly state that he got 9 and expected one more), or Moash killing Jezrien, bringing number of Heralds to 9 and possibly putting them under Odium influence. As I've said, it's a stretch, but with Brandon writing you never know which little bit will turn out to be relevant later on. Both theories are possible, but I still think Number comes from Shard, not planet. As for Scadrial: EDIT: I would say that if we assume Fused orders correspond to Radiant oders, most likely candidate for 'missing' order would be Bondsmiths. And if there is only one, it's quite likely that he is simply not in a place where Moash could hear about him, or even not yet 'fused' (as some Fused once said something like that stronger of them are yet to 'awaken'/take a body). All I'm saying, it might go both ways yet.
  7. "Big RAFO" linked with Braize thing means that it can swing both ways - Planet (or system) affecting Shards or Shards affecting planets (or whole system). In Arcanum it was hinted that Shards created Scadrial planet, so it should not be impossible for Honor to create those 10 gas giants and 'impose" his number 10 of whole system, if that served him somehow.
  8. First, Odium is not "from same planet" as Honor. Originally, he had not settled in place and have been moving trough systems, essentially hunting other Shards. He got trapped in Roshar for a while, but that does not make him "of this planet". Secondly, numbers relate to Shards themselves, not planets. The whole "Shard numerology" is not really explained at length, and some Shards might not even have associated number, but if you want to mention planets and numbers, I do recall Odium saying that two Shards settling on same planet is not good, possibly because their 'numerology' might interfere with each other. Could be any other reason, but if 9 is really Odium number, then Honor was in unique position to "hijack" Odium creations by turning 9 into 10 (which also could be reason Odium had to stop at 9 Unmade). But as I've said, there is nearly nothing specific on why numbers even matter, so it's all wild speculations at this point. Theory that Sibling is of Odium is pretty common, altough again, there is nearly nothing about it, so all theories are pure guesswork. While it was never directly stated (AFAIK) that Nightwatcher and Sibling are "bondsmithable", it was confirmed that the three of them form full set, of being "shadows of god". But just as Sibling might be of Odium, he might just as well be joint creation of Honor and Cultivation (which would maek him real sibling to them). As far as Sibling being Unmade, I doubt it. Mostly because "Unmade" suggest something had to be here in first place to be unmade, and because several of Unmade manifest powers that could be seen as corrupted powers of Radiants (Moelach, future sight, Truthwatchers, Re-Shephir, creates 'army', like Lightweaver, and is drawn to Lightweaving, Sja-anat, changes spren like Shalan changes people, Ba-Ado-Mishram provides Voidlight like Dalinar provides Stormlight). So I would say that Unmade are unmade from Radiant spren, or more likely, from 'fallen' Radiants. But I suppose your idea is just as likely, because I have to say again, there is not enough data about it all.
  9. Honorspren are essentially higher form of Windspren, that might be because both come from Stormfather, or it could be a pattern where every High Spren has it's 'lesser' counterpart, altough there is nearly nothing on Creationspren or Gloryspren that could possibly support (or even deny) this. But for now I would chalk up Kaladin interaction with Windspren to them being related to Syl and him being born Windrunner, and Shallan/Dalinar to just being very good at what they do (creating stuff/inspiring people/being glorious in general). Before seriously considering sprecial link between those two and 'their' lesser spren, I would want to see those spren appearing around them while breaking their usual behaviour, like Windspren did by appearing in Shadesmar.
  10. 1. There were 10 Heralds with 10 Honorblades, which all came from Honor, altough it is not impossible that Cultivation assissted with them. Nahel bonds and knights radiants all came to be because spren figured out how to mimic Herals powers. Even if we assume that voidspren also can somehow form nahel bond, such union has no 11th-15th Herald to mimic, nor cultivated Order history and traditions to follow. 2. Certain Surges being more "in domain" of one Shard than the other is likely, but assigning each order one from each Shard is not. Most "Honor'y" Surge would be Adhesion, binding things, what Honorspren do, what oaths do. Most "Cultivation'y" Surge is Progression, which generally deals with growing things (be it plants or missing body pieces). There are 3 Surges between them, odd number, which makes it impossible to assign those surges "Honor'y" or "Cultivation'y" label in a way each order has access to both labels.
  11. On the other hand, Lopen speaks second oath by accident, as a part of conversation, which means speaking is required trigger, at least in his case. And that just reinforces what I said - that single occurence of something does not mean it works the same way for everyone.
  12. Regarding whole "which ideal gives what": - Kaladin used Surges and Stormlight before first Ideal, got shardblade on 3rd, supposedly will get plate on 4th. - Shallan had blade long long before speaking Truth that allowed her to soulcast (and returned Pattern proper sentience), since then said one more Truth that supposedly put her at 4th Ideal. Which would make her blade avaible somewhere betweeen 0 and 2nd Ideal - Dalinar was not supposed to ever have a blade, but managed to form one while on 2nd Ideal, and apparently got ability to form Honor singularity from 3rd Ideal So yeah, either we assume that all orders have different progression path, or that certain individuals just can do stuff they shouldn't be able to considering their Ideals progress, and that displayed abilities are not always indication of spoken Ideals.
  13. First of all, knowing words is barely the begining, one also has to both mean them, and understand them. People can force themselves to say something and mean it, but that does them no good if they do not truly understand them. Secondly, there are two major bits of data about 4th ideal in OB - that words themselves (not necessarily ther meaning) say something about not protecting, and that Dalinar, alive at that time, played somehow into that ideal, possibly as ones he failed. Both of those make it unlikely to deal with guilt , or those one could not save (at least, not directly). So it could be some version of "I will protect only those I can" or "I will accept I can't save everyone", as that could be interpreted as "it's ok to fail" or "it's ok to give up". Kaladin could not say and mean this, because he knew he had to get to Dalinar, but could not. Swearing that Ideal right there would be equivalent to saying "ok, fine, I can't save him so let's do something else". On the other hand, it's possible that what Kaladin will swear will be something entirely different than what he could not say here. Words have to be accepted by spren, and that is subjective of each spren, so as long as it is something worthy and he really means it, it *could* be entirely different ideal. To explore other possibilities, I would say that something about "letting go of burdens" is most 'likely unlikely' candidate, because it would also require understanding more about their Order, their power. Unrelated-or-maybe-not, Shallan, Lightweaver, has access to surges of Light and Transformation, but for her, Transformation appears to be less about Soulcasting and more about changing people, showing them what they can be (trough her drawings), expanding her power beyond 'just' Surges, just as Dalinar is all about bonds, uniting people, uniting realms, sharing knowledge, not just sticking soldiers to the floor. In similar vein, Windrunners are not only about flying around with surge of Gravity, but also Adhesion, essentially binding things, bonds. So one of ideals might exploit this, either by "let others share my burden", or something crazy like "I will not protect everyone" (and trust others to protect them (and on top of that, possibly, accept failures)). Kaladin does not seem to use Adhesion except rare cases, so it's likely that for Order, that surge is more about bond than actual aplication. At least until possiblity of 5th Ideal being "Don't kill to protect", as someone mentioned it in here. Because with Adhesion, it might be possible to immobilize enemy, removing him from fight without killing. This would require significant Stormlight efficiency to make it possible to immobilize all enemies he would otherwise have to kill for long enough, and some way to overcome limitation of using it on Invested enemies, but at least in theory Ahdesion makes it possible for Windrunners to not kill.
