Doing some research for a fic, and I wanted to see if anyone had any info I'm missing about Sebarial's family situation. My understanding is that he and Palona are together, but not married (Palona's choice), and that's it, but was he married before that? Does he have kids from a previous marriage? I'm assuming there's no ex-wife or divorce situation, but it feels wrong to me that Sebarial would never have had a partner before Palona, given his status and his age. It also feels weird that he wouldn't have any heirs. Hoping I'm not missing something obvious, thanks for any tips!

There's so much about that relationship that I love seeing represented in fiction, and some of Navani's later POV chapters really struck me by how pragmatic her love was for Dalinar, even though it was hard and unfair at times. To keep with the topic of the thread, the Kaladin/Renarin ship is actually some of the sweetest and softest fic I've read in the SA universe, highly recommend. I think Renarin's name ("born unto himself") gives us a clue that we probably won't be seeing any meaningful pairings with him, at least for a long while, but I do also headcanon him as gay, if he ever gets around to it
