  1. I've never seen this before, but upon logging into the shard today, this popup took over my screen. None of the dropdowns actually work yet, so I doubt it's meant to be implemented at this point in time, and so I thought it would be important to bring up.

    1. What groups? ;)

I expected a non-answer.......but fair. I suppose some things are not within reach of mere mortals......

    Spoiler

..or are they? Heed this oath Chaos, Lord Ruler, you will not find rest till the day I find the lost groups, and start some kind of revolution using the power their eldritch knowledge granted me. Heed my oath, and fear me.

....though that sounds like a lot of work so...maybe not.

  3. Curious site specific questions incoming. (i am ready to completely accept that i get no answers) :P

    1. What are these groups. Gamma makes sense, you have a secret hiding place for the gamma readers, but special? Sounds fancy.

    2. What would make someone unable to be followed? Is that a setting you can switch on that makes people not be able to follow you?

    3. What was the last thing you wish you ate, but didn't.

  4. Whoo. What a game. Thank you so much for running this Aon!!

Not too much to comment on, but man, the Elim Doc is quite funny! Wish it lasted all game! Maybe a plan for another game...like, the first time an elim would die to the Elim kill, it's redirected to a random villager instead? Either that or they just survive. Fun stuff, fun stuff! Hmmmm

    Thanks y'all for the game!

  5. Oh, so I intend to change my vote later, likely to a read rather than a random poke on an inactive, I just saw no one had poked them yet. Mint, for now, with a big * on my leaving them alone. I'm interested in meeting everyone.

Right now, I'm feeling most Village about both of you, Mat and Archer. Both are debating something very important for the village to be talking about...But either way. Archer, you want a legitimate target for a lynch so that it cannot be taken or manipulated by village. That's understandable. I'm left wondering, why Mat? So far nothing has stuck out to me as Elim, and they are agreeing with your thought that: 1. Lynching turn one for information is good. 2. It's best to lynch a likely elim than someone random. 3.

I feel the least good, in that whole list, about Reading.

What was the reason for the Illwei-Reading team? I had Reading down as a null. But by all means, feel free to vote for one of those two. :P.

*small frown* Illwei, a single message, I normally see a lot of talking from over there...but they get an excuse for cause current Long Game. I'm more good with Reading now, double checking my assumptions. My next closest gut read is Szeth....but they get an excuse cause plane ride and vacation....

    .....*sigh*

Hey, Mat. I'd like to see your vote that will break the tie. You've talked bout how you don't want it to be a tie, and then say you aren't holding off your vote to control the lynch....but you haven't moved your vote at all, which makes me a little more doubtful of you.

  6. G'morn all. It's a bright and erly day and oop looks like we've all been taken away for a murder investigation and what i guess there are killers in the group too and i, the humble and most honest seller of mildly used trinkets and the like, have been taken away. So...neat. I dont suppose anyone here wants to buy a genuine aonic medallion? ....maybe instead of threatening to lynch one another?

    Vote count is sitting at:

    Illwei (1): Archer
    Reading (1): Mat
    Dannex (1): Illwei
    Mat (1): Dannex

With a lack of Vote Manipulation, things as they are leaves no lynch T1.....and I'm going to do a tinny poke at my good future friend @MintSilverTea Mint. No hard feelings.

Current gut reads wants me to say that Illwei and Reading are a team.

    Everyone else is pretty cool

I agree with Mat that it is a bad idea to vigilante right now, at least wait and see for a seeker to be claimed.

Because I need to vote somebody according to Araris, and other ppl think you are the most sus person. I do not agree, I think that Devo is more likely, but I am new and so I do not want to mess anything up. I really should have spectated a game.

Right, so, if you are sus of Devo, then voting for Devo is a good idea. As Araris said in the very post you quoted, you cannot mess things up. It's okay to vote for who everyone else is voting for, but that is known as Bandwagoning, which means that you are voting based on others votes, letting votes pile up on one person without too much personal reason, which, if I am remembering correctly, is a tool of the Elim team for getting people out.

I'm sure Araris will say this all much more nicely than I am. :P We'll see..

  8. TJ. Whelp. My, "Vote for TJ and then remove vote, thereby not causing too many issues" plan has kinda fallen through. I am decidedly not going to make a tie easier for self preservation, and so make it harder for an Elim team to frame me.

Neeeext, because I still want a vote on TUO, that is what I will do as Arais so eloquently said, Voting is important. You're not going to get much information out of my lynch as of now, so I am going to...write up some reads and some thoughts. TUO has talked enough that we should be able to get some opinions out of them if they are put up for vote/lynched, so that should lead us to something good. Either them or TJ, but I'm getting a much more village read of both TJ and Araris. Slight Elim of Tani? Something's weird about Devo, neutral, but not for long. I'm excited to see Seadragon play a little bit more, get better reads, but for now, neutral. Slight Elim on..Mage, to be honest. I'd vote for Mage next cycle, Mage or TJ or TUO.

Thereby, current Vote count is as follows.

    Vote count:

    • |TJ| (1): Steel
    • TUO (1): Venture
    • Ed Venture (3): Mage, Devo, |TJ|

*small shrug in rusty after over a year* Cycle ends in...abouuuuut one hour. So I'll stay on if anyone has any questions they want to ask, if I have any last thoughts, or any last minute votes come flying in.

  9. Sha Lou looked around as people started shouting at her, clamouring for why she was so interested in the body, why she had pushed to kill a completely innocent ball of fuzz with a blue top hat on it. Mebbe she could still pull this off though, yeah? Mebbe. That's why she kept scribbling away, writing down a few last ideas.

M'kay so here's where I stand. Suspiciously. Kiiiinda sucks. But maybe I can share a few ideas.

First of all. TJ. Why are you defending me? The evidence you used supports the claim that I am not village, but even assuming that is a small error, I am likely the top three most suspicious people. My big issue with TJ comes down to the fact that it was their vote, 30~ minutes after mine, saying that they didn't see my vote, that lead to the lynch of Dannex. Dannex who flipped Village. It was TJ's vote that broke the balance. Plus why do you not feel good about TUO, I'd like to be moving past gut votes at this point of the game, so I'd rather you have somewhat of a reason

Next, Araris. Again, I don't see any basis for the TUO lynch? *thinking noises*

Okay really, I see a lot of people voting for TUO, but they haven't...done anything? It's a much more reasonable lynch for purposes of evidence gathering, at least, because they have been talking quite a bit. So I'm also wondering with a TJ or a TUO lynch, just wondering what other people's reasons are. I'll be back before cutoff to take a look at this all a few more times, see where my vote swings

    Finally, here's a...

    Vote count:

    • |TJ| (2): Venture, Steel
    • TUO (1): |TJ|
    • Ed Venture (2): Mage, Devo
  10. I hereby exonerate Danex of all guilt.

Sha Lou cursed, strings of profanity being loosed as people started to stare...which only lead her to curse more. Now there were eyes on her and she had been wrong. Really wrong. But how was she supposed ta know! She saw someone threaten to kill someone, by the Emperor! It was her civic duty, she was pretty sure, to call that out! Though mebbe staying alive would'a been a lil smarter. She wasn't dead yet, so mebbe she could...fix this? Maybe catch someone who actually did some wrongdoing, then be back in her office in time for dinner. Apparently something like steamed duck was being served nearby the palace...

Unfortunately for Sha, just as she was thinking about dinner, a cry rose up from a nearby hallway. Someone had been murdered.

Well here's what Ash said last turn. Interacting between me and TJ, trying to get a better grasp of the game. I don't like that there's little to go off of here, only a comment trying to get at our feelings about mutual Dannex voting posts. Which helped me, and presumably TJ, solidify our voting positions?

    18 hours ago, Ashbringer said:

Hmm. Faleast will hopefully appear tomorrow. For now, it's just me.

A lot of kills, a lot of roles with the ability to stop kills. And because D1, not a lot to go off of... except maybe this.

@|TJ|, you claim to have written your voting-Dannex post without reading page 2, where Ed Venture voted for Dannex for similar reasons. How does this make you feel?

@Ed Venture, TJ voted for Dannex for similar reasons as yours, about 30 minutes later, but allegedly without seeing your vote put in place. How does this make you feel?

Furthermore, the end of cycle vote count was:

    • |TJ| (1): Danex
    • Danex (3): Araris Valerian, Ed Venture, |TJ|
    • Ed Venture (2): Mage, Orlok Tsubodai

Which is the exact same as the vote count above, which likely means nothing was manipulated. Less information again. Which leads me without a single thread to go off of. Feels bad.

  11. 5 hours ago, Danex said:

is this not the most blatant elim tell you've ever read?
it is. it is the most blatant elim tell.
it's so blatant that if this game had a joker I'd think he was that and was trying to look sus.

*small frown* Okay for one, I'm rusty. Second of all, if I had a team, they'd be helping me look less suspicious after a dumb first post. Third of all, trying to say I'm not elim is a terrible idea, I know that much, so I'll stop now. : P

But actually..you sound a lot like I did as an eliminator once upon a time. You're smart enough to not slip up in a situation like this, and now that (assuming you are an elim, which I am) you are trying to backtrack, I do not like the idea of you slipping out of the lynch, regardless of past games or not. You are my one and only elim read...so...unless you have a better idea of a vote than me?

  12. 9 hours ago, Ashbringer said:

I am willing to believe that TJ is telling the truth. However in the case of a bad flip, I will think that perhaps their not seeing the next page could be a lie, and them hopping on my vote for nearly the same reason as me is quite suspicious.
My issue is...thought I think a C1 lynch will be important, I don't know about any of the last game context about Dannex dodging the lynch. Therefore, I worry about people piling on Dannex to get revenge, so I may be removing my vote in the future, if a better lynch candidate appears

Edit: Dannex threatening a vote for the rest of the game was a bad move to start off with. A stab vote, a vote sent before any analysis is done, just to kill someone, will always read as slightly elim to me, unlike Poke votes, which are used to start a discussion. So I doubt a better lynch will be showing up. I do hope we vote right.

  13. 44 minutes ago, Orlok Tsubodai said:

I would question, though, your reluctance to see vigilante kills used. Historically, vigilante kills are more accurate than the lynch, and we need eliminator deaths if we want to win.

My reluctance is multipart. First, a dislike of the multitude of ways for people to get access to kills. Second, the number of ways to kill starting even just on cycle one. And three, the higher risk that comes from a vigilante kill compared to the lynch. I can admit that having access to such a kill is useful, but only in the hands of someone that we can trust. And with the elim team having access to additional kills, combined with the lack of of a way to determine alignment, I think it is best to stay away from kills. You could call what I am saying preformative, that is fine. But murder does equal bad. And it is for that reason that I am removing my vote on Mage who seems decent enough.

In other news, I am doubtful that Danex is all joking at the sword vote. That on top of outright saying they are vanilla, this seems much more preformative than any overdramatic rules analysis.

  14. Rules analysis:

    Emperor:
With the plentiful ways that all of us will be able to be harming one another, a redirect action, however random, will be very influential.

Head Arbiter of the Glory Faction:
And lo, the Vote manipulation began. By putting another vote on someone we have determined to be an elim, we have a useful tool for us to be able to protect a lynch from being manipulated by the ever vile...

Head Arbiter of the Heritage Faction:
Booooooooo. A way for votes to be removed while we're trying to lynch an eliminator. Though it will be telling, if a vote disappears, so keep your eye out!

    Soul Forger:
*sigh* As much as I would love for the SK to be the village's friend, I am aware that their commiting murder will likely cause us a lot of pain in the long run. But luckily enough, we get at least 2 cycle reprieve from murder after murder after murder. Or at least..that would be the goal..but alas...

    Rememberer:
We have to deal with remembers, who will, every cycle, have a 50% chance to give any player the ability to commit murder. And there's no confirmation that they'll even give that ability to a village. Yes, I understand that a rememberer can make things other than scepters, I'll go over the art later. But for now, I do not want to have to deal with an upwards of four deaths in a single game. Okay? There better not be any more ways to commit murde-

    Striker:
...you kidding me? More ways to commit murder? Gah! Strikers, my friends, no? Don't. At least not today, don't kill anyone. Apart from no information at all, and the odds not being in your favor at all, I don't want to die, and with scepters, and forgers, and now you? I'm scared........ah storms one of you could be in the Elims, it's possible, isn't it.

    Bloodsealer:
Finally! Roleblocks. I'm even more happy about at least one of these existing than the emperor. First of all, you know if your target took an action or not. Second of all, you prevent this game from going....too crazy!

Let's see...anything else to discuss? Ah, the Art. I hope no one here touches the scepters, murder = bad. Vases are great! Roleblock everyone! Literally. If we roleblock everyone forever, things will go well. And paintings. I'm good with paintings. Less so than the vases, because they'll have a lot less versatility. But if you think you are going to die, and you don't know who, I guess maybe a painting would be helpful. I'm pretty sure paintings aren't passive either, so..yeah.

Anyways, last thing, if you want to talk to me in PMs, then you PM me. I'm not touching those on my own.

Sha Lou yawned, looking around the stuffy room of grands. Of which...she was a part of, she supposed. Strange. It'd been months now, wearing the robes, guiding the emperor, not really caring about the history. Just living life and eating good food. Glancing around, she watched as a couple of clumsy people stumbled into each other, tripping over the uselessly flamboyant robes and tumbling to the floor. Sha actually snorted at the sight, these noble, glorious guides of all of politics, making a general mess of things. Almost poetic, she supposed. "Ey!" Sha shouted, pointing at some random person she'd never seen before ( @Mage Mage ). "You, eh...person! Yeh, who'r ya!" Her job done for the day, she yawned again, slumped back in her seat to hide from everyone else, and got ready for a boring day.

  15. ...hey.

Emperor's Soul is a good book. And I'm...back? 1. Doubt anyone remembers. 2. It's been over a year.  But um. Hiiiiiiii? I enjoyed playing this game in the past, however lackingish at analysis I am. I'll try to RP, even.

So if it's okay, Signing up as Sha Lou, a runaway miner, who stole a bunch of fancy robes with the intention of selling them, but alas, through a series of comedic hyjinks, ended up in the glory faction just as they took power.
