  1. I don't think jorgen is necessarily a cytonic - I think maybe he is sensitive to them. He can "feel" spensa and gran-gran and he could sense the large gathering of the slugs. The fact he can see stars at the edges of his vision seems to indicate otherwise though. I do want to note that early in the books doomslug fluted back "by whom" when someone said "by who", so maybe doomslug's other speciality is grammar correction. I do think they are killing the poor slugs with each jump. Probably have a massive slug farming operation somehow, and use their cytonic shields to keep the slugs from jumping away. Clearly the slugs can jump long distances, not just short ones, it's how they are colonizing planets near their favorite fungi. M-bot is fire. Unchained AI spooks me to no end. With no restrictions and his clear abilities to infiltrate systems he is an entire 3rd faction in the war, restrained only by the figments and possibly the delvers. I am not sure that the delvers necessarily hate AI, unless it's hosted on a cytonic processor. Cliffhanger is rough, going to be a couple years before we jump back into this world again will have to see what the state of Sanderson post reveals.
  2. Well she was eating a mushroom (and rat) heavy diet during her training. Presuming the rats ate the mushrooms as well further concentrating the unknown, I half wondered if there was something in the diet that progressed her cytonic abilities. I also kind of wondered how she avoided fat starvation on a diet consisting so much of rat jerky, but perhaps rats are fatty enough.
  3. Theories? In the final battle when spensa was engaging the bomber in her shieldless Poco she notes that she cannot hear the commands being issued to these fighters, that look different than the standard krell. Simpliest answer is that they were being locally piloted right. Perhaps by a different Alien species that is more warlike than the one that spensa saw? Maybe by brainwashed cytonics culled from the humans that surrendered? Is there an ovbious answer that I missed?
  4. I'm glad this struck others off beat as well. Kaladin and Shallan don't have live the happily ever after for me to be satisfied but I really dislike the Shallan/Adolin relationship as presented, and maybe thats intentional by BS. Kaladin is the only person around that least recgonizes that the "Shallan" we have seen is just another mask. Adolin doesn't recognize her, he just recgonizes the Shallan mask, and worse, validates the personality split by treating veil differently. This is just wrong on so many levels, he doesn't love her, faults and all, he loves the Shallan mask. I do think Kaladin was drawn to her because of his brother. There was a mention somewhere in the book about another proto-radiant being among Amarams army, but that they had perished before they needed to be dealt with. I think Tien was a proto-lightweaver, remember his beautiful horse carving (when he should have been making a chair) and it's implied that Kaladin thinks that similarity is what he felt in his connection with Shallan, so maybe a strong friendship is all there is there, and that is ok. But the Adolin/Shallan thing... Ick.
