  1. I found it, Ha! I did some more looking after I posted it and found exactly what I was looking for. Thank you :D!
  2. Hey folks been gone for a month or so, I disappeared to hide in my Spoiler Free Zone, I knew if I logged in I would ruin something.. But Someone, please explain to me why everyone is changing names to Ookla the "noun".
  3. To our knowledge there is only one Living Larkin? Why are they so heavily hunted to extinction? Why are bodies sold for kingdoms, and who buys them? There cannot be that many people that know of the Larkin's abilities, and even less that find it useful in any way at all. Without a living Larkin to show what they do, surely mostly they are ornamental. I was not able to tell if the Larkin used in Edgedancer/Lift interlude was living or not. Surely the bodies are coveted because they can continue to "Leech" Stormlight through "Silver eyes"? Am I on the right road with this or do I need another re-read? I'm doubling down on Arcanum Unbound and OB is up next for a re-read.
  4. Good lord I missed that altogether, RE-READ TIME!!!!!
  5. So, has it been discussed on how Dalinar may already have 9 Shadows? The people he's surrounded himself are the 9 Shadows? Perhaps 9 other orders of KR? I could easily count off at least 7 people he closely associated with who "Strengthen" Dalinar in some way. Perhaps the last few aren't KR but people that stand with him? We know He was to be Odium's Champion, so who are his Shadows?
  6. I happen to disagree, I think a well made Razor would work Wonderfully. I too am a daily shaver. I however use an Electric Razor.. If can shield the blades, I.E. have some sort of Stand off, instead of place the razor directly against the skin, you could shave very accurately. It would be the best shave in the WORLD. You'd never feel it pulling your hair, and you would never ever have to sharpen and replace it. as long as you learned the proper angle, The angle would have to be discussed with your spren while you shave. I'm sure even a dead spren blade could do it, as long as you used the proper guard, but it would be unwieldy, because Dead spren blades cannot shrink as Pattern has done in WoR. I'm sure syl can accommodate as well. What if Rock manages to bind a Spren, He would be the best Barber in Roshar!. But I do not think his soul is Broken enough, though he may have a dark secret behind his jovial attitude.
  7. Sadly I have to wait until I pick up Arcanum Unbound tomorrow but I'm downloading OB as we speak. Pre ordered it MONTHS ago on Audible. Going to get Edgedancer knocked out, then Secret History skip all the rest of the stuff unless anything pertains to Cosmere or S.A.
  8. Happy Oathbringer day, Lets not ruin anyone elses by spoiling the book for the people that may not read as quickly as you, or that may not be as fortunate to have obtained the book on the first day. I love you all my Bridge 4 Bretheren. Happy Reading.
  9. He perhaps did it when he was angered. Or perhaps this has all happened before? Not everything is known in history due to the recreances and the shattering. Or if it happened during a stormlight surge, Ooh. What if the Shattering, caused them to break the Oathpact. Just going off the cuff. HAPPY OATHBRINGER DAY!
  10. So, on the shattering, the stormfather is older than the shattering, do you think he caused it? Do you think that the Shattering of the Plains happened when the Oaths were broken? Or did it happen before then? Is it known when it happened and does it line up with any of the Recreance events?
  11. Allomantic Pewter. Feruchemical Gold. You would be one of the most Elite and hardest to stop warriors in the Cosmere. Burning Pewter and Storing health when not in combat. Burning Pewter and consuming gold while in combat. Never Tired. Never weak. Just finished Pewter Dragging for 9 hours, No problem just burn gold for a tick. No pewter drag. I'd call this a Juggernaut. Burning pewter to counteract storing gold. Tapping gold to counteract Burning pewter. The strength, balance, and speed to match all but a F-Steel but the mental and physical fortitude to withstand the barrage heal, and outlast him, or IMO The most OP work horse/ Warrior Scadrial has to offer.
  12. Re-Re-read first two stormlight books, and now I STILL HAVE TO WAIT!! AHHHHH!!!, I finished my quest. I finished all other Cosmere works other than White sand, and Arcanum Unbound. I can't do White Sand until I get back to the states. I had to spend my allowance "I'm 30 years old", because my wife wouldn't let me over spend the account. but I did it.. But I still have to patiently wait AFTER I download Oathbringer, to finish Arcanum unbound. I think I'm going to just skip to the Lift section, Any other books other than Edgedancer that have S.A. Tid bits that are note worthy? Or can I just skip to Edge Dancer Consume it in one day and pick up on Oathbringer a day late? Thoughts?
  13. It's odd to me, listening to Dune, and hearing Duke Atreides home world's name read aloud Caladan, sounds strikingly similar to Kaladin.
  14. When all of your piercings make you feel like an inquisitor, and have long since been subject to Ruin. That Harmony fellow is just not as mentally unstable.
  15. It's just as easy for you to frame your victory box as it is me and mine. If Wiz and Boomstick did a deathbattle between Kel and Vin. I think they would come to the correct decision. HAHA! I do secede to the point that Kelsier was more skilled with steel, and steel only Wax is by far the best, and has had way more time to defend himself with it.
  16. So Kel wins, except when it comes to getting backhanded by TLR then? I guess Then Kelsier definitely loses, and that "One time event", that winds up being the entire plot of the final battle scene, totally never happened again and never fought off way more inquisitors than Kel ever could at once. I'm sorry Kelsier lovers, but dude died, maybe not from the backhand, and maybe the spear through his chest was purposefully done to be a Hemalurgical spike. I don't know, and haven't read secret history yet so don't ruin it. but by all accounts to anyone that has read the 6 mistborn books, Kels a dead dude, and Vin, killed his murderer in a standoff fight. She used skill, observation, luck, and the mists as she was granted use of them by preservation, and killed TLR. Perhaps she would even give Kel another backhand before dealing final blow. If were accounting for personalities, Vin wins. She would never allow an abomination to wear Kelsier's body. If we're speaking to a specific skill. Vin has more of it. If you're using WoB from 2008, before Era 2 it may not be as solvent as one would from 2017. Characters and ideas would have since changed. Kel thinks of Vin as his daughter, he has shown remorse. He has shown mercy, he is not psychopathically murdering everyone in his path. Vin did this a few times herself, but she was always stronger than Kel because she can use judgement and rage. Not one or the other, you could say Kelsier's Emotional "Spikes" needed to be switched out, while Vin could use them both. When it comes to a coinshot vs Vin, still no contest.. At the end of the day, Kel got backhanded into oblivion before getting spiked offhandedly by TLR. Vin I'm certain I remember correctly took one of those backhands and kept on going. I suppose I should go back and read the first book again, but I really do remember Kelsier keeping TLR Pimp hand strong, am I wrong in remembering this :P.. Vin was the strongest, she was the best. She would absolutely kill anyone who desecrated the corpse and memory of Kelsier without a seconds hesitation. While she may hesitate to kill the real one off handedly, she would not hesitate to murder an imposter of someone she knows to have died from a spear through the heart, and then had his body consumed by a Kandra.
  17. How do you figure in a fight with two mistborn one of which has killed not a Twin born misting but a Fullborn-Mistborn? TLR Killed Kel. He wasn't all powerful, he was just good. I argue by the end of Vin's time when Kelsier struggled to fight one Inquisitor, Vin fought off how many? A dozen? She surpassed Kelsier. A Coinshot doesn't stand a chance.
  18. Warning Spoilers for Era 1 and 2 trilogies. No Arcanum Unbound please. I haven't read it yet. Everyone is forgetting very important things in this fight. Lets talk this out. Everyone is coming to the table with their powers from main 6 books? Vin, One of the most powerful Mistborn to have lived in her time minus her Lerasium Mistborn Husband that is. Vin had a determination that even when she was brand new training in TFE, She could almost match Kel in a shoving match. However, Kelsier if were using TFE was indeed a skilled warrior but I believe by the end of Mistborn Era 1, she surpassed Kel. Wax, a Crasher, Steel Savant. and an Iron Feruchemist. He has the ability to tap and achieve heavier weights. Making his pushes bring down buildings, and anchor himself against pushes that Vin or Kel could have never achieved. The fight. itself would be rather interesting.. Consideration one, Kelsier and Vin would have no real reason to fight, and Wax would be initially outclassed though he's a very adaptive fighter. Remember that Vin, the Ascended Warrior and the Survivor are things of legends, and Wax is a Descendent of Breeze. Wax would undoubtedly introduce himself making it known he's a direct descendant of Breeze. Other things to consider. Vin and Kelsier have essentially half knowledge of Metals. If they were able to get Metals from a current Metallurgist they would have a following before they downed the first vial. What would their reaction be if they found out about the new metals? How would the use them. Vin would only have to brush past Kel or Wax and burn away the Metals and they would be left without vials by Wax's incessant heavy handed pushing. Leaving Vin to draw upon the mists a feat only she can do. Vin clearly has the upper hand with Kel metal-less, and Vin powered by the mist. But, Wax would have an initial upper hand, Kel and Vin would be burning Tin, and Wax fires guns, something that Kel and Vin are unfamiliar with, noise wise. Tin enhanced ears would probably daze them making them dull their tin and flare pewter. Mist. Wax likes the Mist, Kelsier is the Lord of the Mists, Vin is Fueled by them. Arcanum Unbound Not withstanding "No spoilers I haven't read Secret History yet" but have completed the first 6. IF, Vin and Kel were fighting it would be Vin who would win, having more experience, Drawing on the Mists. He couldn't hide from her *If she kept her earring*. Vin defeated the Lord Ruler, Lord ruler defeated Kelsier. It's already recorded history Vin is a greater warrior than Kel. Wax is another thing. If it were a Melee, Wax would put up a good fight, but ultimately lose. Vin having access to New Metals, even though she's new, she is more of a Savant Mistborn than anything else picking up superb skills much quicker than she ever should have. Imagine 12 year old Wax defeating TLR, wouldn't happen. Defeating a Fullborn-Mistborn, with the mists help. Defeating a Mere Twinborn would be cake. She already has faced the pushes that pulled at the minerals in her body and pushed back... She's quick and has Access to Electrum to dodge bullets *EVEN ALUMINUM*. Because she doesn't have to Push them to see where she's going to die and avoid it. Not as powerful as Atium, but Electrum was a good substitute as stated in HoA. Plus as stated she would have access to new abilities like leaching. Vin and Kel are careful creatures. They would have the new metals explained and mastered quickly. Wax has a few neat tricks, Weighted pushes. Even BoM Allomantic Grenades, a Thug Shotgun, If we take the end of the BoM He would have to request permission, from the Kandra IE Harmony, to use the BoM. Who would Harmony Favor? Vin the Ascended Warrior? Kelsier the Sovereign of the South? or Waxilium "Dawnshot" Ladrian? Who would Sazed allow to survive to carry on his will? BoM already knows that Kel lives. "Or lived on in some fashion" During the Catasandra *Spelling* to help save the southerners from Freezeing who did not have Ashmounts to shade them from the sun but thrived in the heat nonetheless. Who would Harmony choose. He currently uses Wax as his Champion, but who knows whats next. *A.U.* not withstanding. Lost Metal will bring some more points of argument to this table undoubtedly. However Vin the Mist-powered Ascended Warrior, would deal the final blow if it came to blows. Though I don't see a Ladrian on the side of the Law attacking Vin, and I don't see Kel attacking either, though Vin would surely attack anyone wearing Kel's skin. Thinking it a trick or a Kandra. Vin may not initially kill Kel, but she would instantly attack seeing someone looking like Kelsier. *She is the most apprehensive of the group* Even if Dawnshot has a better investigative skill, Vin was slower to connect dots, but was a pretty good detective herself. If it's just a steel pushing match, then what's the point? Why would Vin or Kel even be involved for something as monotonous as a Steel pushing match. Might as well just ask who would win a Steel race instead of a fight to the death... Honestly. in a pure Steel fight Wax has upper hand, he's the most skilled with only steel. I'd still put my money on Vin, she's got a lot of heart. She may not be a steel savant but even when she was training with Kel her strength surprised the rust out of him. If we're talking raw power why not mention Lerasium Born Elend? Who's power is greatest of all of them, he makes Vin and Kel's power seem trivial even if by the end of the Era 1 he's just not quite as skilled as perhaps Vin, but his experience with Koloss, and training with Vin still gives him a damnation good leg up on most competition.
  19. I never see any perfect connection, but I strongly believe myself that Arsteel is Clod as well.. one of the 5 Scholars one of the best swordsman, and a Lifeless who shows glimmers of something beyond other lifeless, and who is a better warrior than any who are on the battlefields currently. They did indeed pay a high price for that lifeless.. The cost of a dear friend. In my opinion. Still could have just been a brute named Clod who was an exceptional fighter, but I'm pretty set on him being Arsteel..
  20. Laughed my chull off Not sure how to put spoiler tag, so instead I'll just say from BoM (Mistborn 2nd Era). Rotten Tomato!
  21. But, what is this "Thrill", and what do I need to do to obtain it? I have almost completed my collection of the Cosmere that I am able to. Finishing Bands of Mourning this week, then I'll read Arcanum Unbound very.. very... quickly.. on the 15th, because I'll have Oathbringer on the 14th, but I will not read Oathbringer until I read Edgedancer. Is the Thrill a separate work, and can some of you reputable folks point a lowly little Pahn Kahl to the secret stash of goodies of short stories?
  22. *ALL HAIL STICK!* I am a stick! I AM a STICK! I am a Stick! I AM A STICK! I... Am... A... Stick!!! *Cheers.*
  23. I definitely agree with you. 100% I was speaking more to the fact that during Adolin's fight, he was of the 2nd Oath, and in the final fight with Szeth he was of the 3rd Oath. But his healing capabilities continue to increase as it continues. He both becomes a more accepting vessel for stormlight "In and out". I like your idea of SBC Fifth of Daybreak. It makes it easy to imagine. To Clarify my thoughts on the subject. No, I do not think that Stormlight healing is as OP Stated as the Deus Ex Machina. I believe it operates in the confines of the reality of the world just as everything else does. I think if anything qualifies as this Deus Ex Machina you speak of, it would be in my eyes, Dalinar's capabilities of catching any object he is required to. Shard blades, Claws the size of Boulders with probably twice the force of one falling... Of course he was in Shard plate when he caught the latter. Of course he is a well trained fighter. some would argue the best. But, Colors man! he's got the stickiest hands in all of Roshar!
  24. Thank you all for helping me mull through this topic. I'm a little more sturdy in my belief that Amaram set someone up to either A. Die, or B. Feign Death in a real bout for shards.. The shards he stole from Kaladin. Either way, I'm also convinced that Amaram is too public, and open to have done anything but stage a bout in front of a lot of witnesses to corroborate his accounts of winning his shard blade and plate fair and square from either felling a foe, or from a bout over honor. Though specifics would be nice to hear about in the *hopefully up and coming trial of Amaram.*
  25. When you say Graphic Audio, what do you mean? Who is reading it? Who sponsors it? Where do you get it? I listen to all Brandon Sanderson on Audible, just curious if the "Unabridged" means that it's different from Graphic Audio version. I would assume if mine says unabridged and yours says "Graphic Audio", they just might have a few differences.
