  1. Yes!!! The sci-fi elements of RoW are why this *might* be my favorite SA book so far. The way BS used real scientific theories and methods in a fantasy setting was amazing. When Navani was first thinking about light and examining it as a liquid, I kept thinking about wave-particle duality. I know it’s not quite the same thing, but the way she was describing it was very similar. And her use of the scientific method was fantastic. Your “wild speculation” is a really interesting idea. I think there’s a lot of potential for Intent to work well with the scientific method, and Rosharan scholars (Navani specifically) will most likely make some huge scientific discoveries through this.
  2. 1)Moash. I hate his guts, period. 2) Shallan. I'm not entirely sure why, but I've never really enjoyed her character.
  3. 1) Kaladin!!! I cannot get enough! He was storming cool even before he became a radiant, but c'mon man! He can FLY ok so I’m glad I’m not the only one with a list 2) Hoid/wit: he's just so storming awesome! He's extremely sarcastic, rude, but also nice and is there when you REALLY need him. 3) Adolin: I know some people don't like him because they think he's flat, but when you really look at him, you see he's anything but. So even though EVERYONE around him is becoming Radiant and he isn't, does he get bitter and pouty? No! Instead he tries to encourage them and is there for them when they need it! Just because he isn't a drama king/queen with a ton of issues doesn't make him a bad character(looking at you, Shallan!) 4) Dalinar: He gets over his issues and stands up fights! He doesn't let his past conquer him and doesn't show it aside to deal with later...Cough ..SHALLAN... Cough. Ok I'm done. Now to find a thread to vent about characters I hate!
  4. I know this isn't specifically about these chapters, but it keeps nagging at me. Is there a possibility that the listeners are not actually voidbringers and that their gods are? Because they break the treaty just because gavilar is talking about bringing back their gods, and that terrifies them so much that they would rather break of their treaty after less than an hour. So what if their gods are the voidbringers and the listeners are enslaved to them? Does that make sense or is it just me?
  5. Who is glys and who is zahel?!?!?! I feel like I'm not remembering a couple of major characters. Please respond!
