  1. Honestly, I wouldn't call her role in CS4 a conclusion. She has the single longest running character arc in the series and I'm pretty sure stuff continues to happen in Daybreak. But yeah, I guess I wouldn't be as attached to her if it wasn't for Sky. She's my favorite character really.
  2. If it's the Capua company then yeah, they become sort of a staple, and in Zero the company is at its newest (like a year and a half old already but yeah). Theirs is also a thread that carries on from Sky.
  3. Erika refuses to let me get used to her. Every time I get used to her antics she pulls some other crap that makes me remember "Oh that's right, I hate her." Anyway she can do that? Killing everyone herself is such a ridiculous move. Well, we're back at the prologue I guess. It is nice knowing that the puzzle does have a solution, but I most certainly can't see it. Looking forward to the answer if it's ever revealed. Gonna try to come up with one of my own until then.
  4. Yeah. Great stuff. Makes me wish we got more Gavilar (which who knows, maybe we do). Any plans for spring break?
  5. Keygen Church's new album is glorious.
  6. Supposedly, which fishing rod you use, which bait, and which fishing spot you choose, all play into the odds of any specific thing biting. Which is of course either trial and error or guide territory. At that point no shame in going for the guide. Though even with all the best conditions met it's still rng.
  7. Poms used to be the metal slime of the series. The deal was pretty much bringing several people at 200cp or not even trying.
  8. Oh. Ok yeah, that's pretty fast. If you hadn't used it much before it might be faulty since the factory. Not sure if replacing it is an option in this case.
  9. It's not a particularly long lasting battery to begin with. Especially if it's the older model. With demanding games 4 hours would be pushing it. I feel like you'd get some more mileage out of this game though, it's not too intensive graphically.
  10. Yeah, I miss the addition system. This is the era where if you play your cards right you can have an art list filled with dozens of arts because in unlocking that one ultra powerful one that requires 15 of one element, you unlocked everything that came before. I do like playing around with stat increases with the CS approach but, this was cool. MQ appear in Azure, though they're a bit different from CS.
  11. Alright looked it up. On a first playthrough you can miss 4 dp max if you want max rank. On NG+ it goes up to 8 apparently.
  12. I don't think you need all the points to get top rank in any game. The margins do vary though. And I can't say I remember this one's either.
  13. Was too sick and tired to do more than the prologue in Unicorn Overlord last night. Now I'm only sick so I can finally get to play the whole day.
  14. I seem to recall you do, especially useful once the game opens up.
  15. I can play the piano though I never got particularly good, and I vote they stubbed their pinky finger. Did you have a good sleep last night? (I didn't. Help)
  16. Okok this is really cool. It's not a "Battler is invincible" episode, it's a "Now we know how Beato felt" episode. I would never have guessed that she could just rewrite the plot. Wonder how many times she had to change things because Battler actually got it right. I swear, retroactive seals were a terrible idea. It should have been a rule that she had to specify when and where at the very least before the next move. This is some "I poisoned your cup" "Oh yeah? Well I'm immune to poison" crap.
  17. Yeah, residential and Downtown districts were missing in CS, which was sad. Some of the best parts of the arc happen in Downtown. Regarding the map, even if it's not quite as big as CS, there's plenty of it. Crossbell is huge, even by CS standards, and back in Sky most cities had one or two areas, with the absolute biggest having four, so Crossbell was like four cities rolled into one. Plus, there's a lot of stuff in the surrounding area. And the biggest advantage is that having such a localized setting allows for stories you can't tell when the protagonists are traveling a lot, which you'll get to see. That said, I wonder if the surrounding villages also update their dialogue every time the plot progresses. It would be a bit of a pain having to travel not only the city but the entire state each dialogue round. I could see how some people got over 100 hours in this game then.
  18. That last one has implications that I'm better off not asking about, but makes sense. They're enemies but in a frenemies sort of way. They'll fight but will decide on the game board together.
  19. Huh, that's weird. I guess we can chalk that one up to the tantrum. "A child who can't control her emotions" as Lambda put it.
  20. Crap, I don't have the chapter number. Uhh right before the scene where they trick Battler into giving Erika duct tape. Bern is venting about how much she hates Battler's victory in Episode 5 and says that she killed his family over and over with the goal of making Battler want revenge against Beatrice. She mentions being the one to turn Ange into mincemeat too. Granted, the whole scene is supposed to be an act so this might have been made on the spot. But this was way before Battler even arrived to the room and honestly lying about this would be kinda pointless.
  21. This is at least the third game in a row that everyone is like "This is the final game, nothing else beyond this point, no sir". I wonder how long they can keep this up. Erika is scummy, moving on. So apparently this is a murder mystery in the first place because of Bern? I thought Beato was indebted to Lambda. Well, whatever, they like each other, may have decided on that beforehand. Also, Battler can take Beato out of the game once the board is destroyed? If nothing else this would mean Beatrice is something physical, which I was convinced of but the game refused to confirm it. Now, whether that something is a person or like a marble chess piece is a different matter. Oh yeah, that insult Bern came up with for Erika, gerokasu. I'd never heard that word and wanted to confirm if it even existed because pukespittle sounds absolutely gross, and it turns out it's the title to another Ryukishi novel? I legit can't tell if this is a coincidence. Battler is great. I don't care if he's being arrogant or naive, if he's being manipulated or if he's the one doing the manipulating, he's just great. He had a lot of cool moments back when he was just stumbling in the dark. Now that he owns it it's even better. Oh yeah, poor Gohda. We got a sacrificial lamb for Erika's weird investigation techniques.
  22. Sent my table's group chat this picture, jokingly asking for the item's price, as "I heard it gives +2 to int". The GM proceeds to inform me that this is just a headband of vast intelligence, and that it's a wondrous item. And that with wondrous items, the player can decide what it looks like, so this is, in fact, possible. This is forbidden knowledge for me. Imagine all the stupid looking characters you could create, and all by using a mechanic that doesn't even affect the gameplay. This is amazing!
  23. Green sour crunchy ones. Perfectly cooked popcorn or just slightly burned?
  24. 702. Not all rules are equal. Some of them will keep you safe and away from the action, some will turn you into an important side character, some will turn you into the protagonist. Heed the rules accordingly.
