  1. Wot: Perrin, he's usually the most level-headed LotR: Gandalf, because he's Gandalf Star Wars: Thrawn--I read the new book recently, and it makes him more personable and very much likeable and Link (from the Zelda games) because he's awesome.
  2. At least you aren't a Darkeyes
  3. I didn't mean it to be a negative criticism, I actually like the concept. It may be something very similar to that, in the end.
  4. I like it! My first thought is that your topic is sleep. Not sure if that's what you intended though.
  5. I literally lived 30 minutes from Portland just a few months ago, within driving distance of the path of totality. Now, I'm well to the south of it. Oh well, it will still be an interesting thing to look at. By the way, don't forget to wear your eclipse glasses! You still get UV light exposure, even though the sun is blocked.
  6. I agree with your Avatar, Percy Jackson, and Eragon assessments. I love the Avatar TV series, and the Percy Jackson books are great. The movies? Just about the worst thing I've ever seen on TV.
  7. Well, all I know is that my purpose in life is to make plants grow without being smothered by ash and hope the nobles don't notice my daughters.
  8. You're closer than I am...still have about 12 to go, but I've finished the game. I may wait until the second DLC comes out later this year, and then really dive back into the game. That being said, I'm very excited to see if/when they start teasing future Zelda stuff (even if just for the 3DS).
  9. I like the thought behind this theory. Even though I don't think it's 100% accurate, I'd have to say that knowing Brandon, there will be some major twist at some point that will be something just as eye-opening.
  10. It's say he certainly fits what I've always imagined Sazed to be.
  11. That's true too. I guess maybe I wouldn't be very good at casting for movies! Though sometimes adaptations can work out ok.
  12. Yeah, I can see that. Right after I posted, I saw somebody suggest Freeman as Breeze. That definitely feels like a good fit to me (except that I always imagined Breeze to be somewhat pudgy).
  13. I agree! Liam Neeson would be perfect for Sazed. Morgan Freeman would also be an interesting candidate.
  14. That would be good. It's also be good to learn the fingerlings now. It takes a bit of memorization, and it's not necessarily intuitive.
  15. I would say it's no harder to learn than any other brass instrument. Once you have the fingerings down, it's all in building up the lip strength to play the instrument. Very different, obviously, than wind instruments. But still fun. It's also works out different muscles.
