  1. That's what I've assumed. Reversal of Experiences in the cognitive, and maybe Odium is stuck in the cognitive realm. My guess is that the Heralds go to the cognitive realm on Braize, and they seal Odium there with their honorblades.
  2. @maxal, I totally see what you mean. Maybe my original idea that Eshonai might end up being a Willshaper is plausible?
  3. Ok, i have to admit that I DO like Elhokar as a Dustbringer, and I'm going to have to agree with other commenters that I don't think he needs to step down to do it. I've never really liked the idea of him as a lightweaver. I honestly just don't see the requisite personality. But, and I do have some reason for this... I almost think that it might serve him better if he became a Willshaper. The fact that he sees what sounds like Cryptics seems to point out that he is much more connected to the cognitive realm. (Both Shallan and Jasnah had similar experiences) https://coppermind.net/wiki/Order_of_Willshapers Near the bottom of that page is a quote about the Willshapers. It doesn't sound dissimilar to Elhokar. Although, after just rereading that page and it mentioning that they would "probably be OK with Adolin" doing what he did, it IS possible Adolin could be a Willshaper. I probably just undermined my hope that Elhokar would make a good Willshaper... gods damnation it. Now I can't stop thinking about things pointing to Adolin being a Willshaper... The personality traits for Skybreakers is "Just" and "Confident". I can agree with this... I'm gonna have to edit my first post here and substituted Maxal's theory.
  4. The problem with that is that Kaladin had those powers because Syl was bonding with him, even without the words. Without a proper spren Szeth can't gain the powers associated with the order. At least as far as I know. He may yet attract one, but until he does I don't see how he could gain those abilities, no matter how qualified his persona is.
  5. I wonder why that is. The strain between lightweavers and windrunners?
  6. https://coppermind.net/wiki/Ten_Essences Youre right. I don't know why I keep getting their order confused/reversed in my head. I honestly forgot about him. I totally see what you mean. Holy sh... how did I miss that? I need to double check Elokhar's conversations... https://coppermind.net/wiki/Elhokar_Kholin#cite_note-The_Way_of_Kings-58-chapter-5 (scroll up for the reference about Cryptics/Liespren/Truthspren)
  7. A common theory is that Adolin will revive his Shardblade, which is confirmed to have belonged to an Edgedancer. Adolin becoming an Edgedancer is thus a popular idea, and quite likely too, I think. I think Dustbringers feel more interesting than Edgedancers, so I would like to see Adolin as one, but I do think that an Edgedancer is more likely. My personal Dustbringer candidate, which I really hope happens, is Amaram. He is a brave soldier, and you could also argue that bringing the Heralds back through a Desolation is a brave (if stupid) gamble. He is defenitely obedient, and follows his masters and his purpose no matter what he himself feels about it. Making Amaram a Dustbringer would also make the story interesting in several ways. It would challenge Dalinars and Kaladins views of who a Radiant is. Seeing them confront the fact that someone who betrayed them has been given powers and bonded a spren would be very nice. It would also give the story a lethal antagonist, a fanatic with powers given to him by the Almighty himself. I could also see this opening different possibilites for Amarams character, from becoming more of a fanatic to redeeming himself. Eh... I admit prejudice against Amaram. I don't like him any better than Kaladin does. As we saw with Renarin and Ym, it is possible there is more than one fledgling radiant per order. Szeth was confident enough to take up the honor blade. Shallan... I can agree about her honesty, in a sense. She is tells lies and truths in almost equal measure, which definitely attracted the Liespren/cryptic. You could even argue that lies are, in a way, creativity with words. I think Shallans biggest struggle is being honest with herself.
  8. I started going through the Arse Arcanum in the back of WoR, and looking at the personality traits for the 10 essences and matching them up to the confirmed KR's. Kaladin is Protecting and Leading; Shallan is creative ans honest; Jassnah Is Wise and Careful ; Szeth is Just and Confident (at least their character arcs are molding them into such, but they already held more than a glimmer of that BEFORE they bonded with their Spren.) The 3 we haven't seen yet confirmed are Dustbringer (Brave/Obedient), Willshaper (Resolute/Builder), and Stoneward (Dependable/Resourceful). [I suspect (and hope) Adolin will be the Dustbringer, Rysn will be a Willshaper or Stoneward, and possibly Eshonai as either the Willshaper or Stoneward. ] this has since changed. Any thoughts, conjectures, or discredits to any of that is very much welcome.
  9. As much as a part of me wants a Kaladin/Shallan pairing, I very much doubt it. The fact that Kaladin is the one who killed Helaran is going to come to (storm) light. I don't think that she will actively try to kill him, but I do believe that that would definitely be too big of an obstacle for her to overlook. As for Adolin/Shallan... I'm not sure. The physical attraction is there, and that pairing just seems to fit better to me. I actually have a theory (I haven't looked into others just yet about this) that Adolin murdering Sadeas will actually look good to some spren (WoB hinted at this), and I think his personality fits with the Dustbringers/Releasers. That would put him on the same level as Shallan, if not Kaladin. As for Kaladin having a legitimate Romance... it's hard to say. I can almost see him being with Lift eventually, but for the time being I would expect him to be reminded of Tien by her. Edit: I also want to point out that I see Jassnah as a lesbian. Maybe I'm projecting (l want to see more lesbians!) But that's the impression I got from her in WoR.
  10. I am stupid. I totally thought it was based on post count instead of reputation. XD I'm so glad there's an actual pet for it though :]
  11. Is there a link for what each stage is called? I'm super interested in knowing this. XD
  12. Yeah, lol, I went a head and grabbed Warbreaker on audible. I'm listening to it right this second. XD
  13. Ok, knowing THAT, I'll give it a shot at some point. Probably after I actually finish Hero of Ages, Elantris, and Warbreaker. Edit: typos. I make them a lot.
  14. That's what I hear, and I believe it! I just want to focus on the cosmere stuff at the moment. That's how I'm feeling about Elantris. I frequently have to put it down because it gives me the skeevies sometimes. XD
