  1. This "wound upon the Spiritual Realm" business caught my eye. Maybe this wound on the Spiritual Realm is what actually pushes residents of the Cognitive Realm, (I.e., Cognitive Shadows, and whatever splinters there are remaining of Odium and Ambition). Something that stood out to me in this line of thought is that the reason Threnody has no way to travel there specifically deals with the death of a Shard nearby--and this reinforces the idea that the Cognitive and Physical realms are overlapping here, and the wound is the cause. OP's original theory is further validated in the following line.
  2. What if silver is Investiture on Threnody, and there is a shard--small bit--of preservation here too, with souls staying to rest here after they die, and the Inertness of the silver 'banishing them', creating a space they cannot go? I don't know if that makes much sense to anyone else. Here's something I got from a signing: MarShadow [PENDING REVIEW] What new statement can you give us about the cosmere that would give us a bunch to speculate on? Brandon [PENDING REVIEW] I'm not sure if there's something new I can say. Um... I think rampant speculation about the Threnody novel would be cool. So, you have seen a hint in the books about the Threnody novel that no one has asked me if this is the thing.
  3. I wonder if Nightblood thinks that Hoid is a danger to others? If he does, is he at the top of his hit list?
  4. A spren is a bit of investiture that gained sentience from being around people, so in theory it's possible, with the blocking powers of aluminium.
  5. 1.An Omniolgy, with a total count of 100,310,581 2. Thirteen 3. The magic is based off of a stormlight metallic arts combo 4. In any way possible, via planting evil in the hearts of pierced peoples 5. No
  6. I'm just going to throw this out there: WinespringBrother [PENDING REVIEW] Given that Shards, and perhaps, Ascended beings, have intents similar to their names. Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] More that they have names similar to their intents. WinespringBrother [PENDING REVIEW] So, would Unity be a natural enemy of Autonomy? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Um... Possibly. You say "natural," WinespringBrother [PENDING REVIEW] Well, would one eliminate the other one? But more towards Autonomy trying to break up... Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] To break up Unity. It's so hard to say, because Autonomy is a bit of a strange duck. Like, what counts as being Autonomous? Is absorbing everything and becoming one again Autonomous or not? That's kind of your question that you get into. And the way Autonomy looks at it right now, is no. Autonomy wants to remain Autonomy. Autonomy does not want to be corrupted by anything else. And Autonomy would think the Shards are better on their own. But is this a natural affect, or part of the...? Does that make sense? WinespringBrother [PENDING REVIEW] Well, but it's also along the lines of, Odium wants to break up the other ones, so they don't... Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Odium just wants to be top dog. And your two ways to be top dog are to climb higher, or to lower everyone else. And he's like, we're gonna lower everyone else. Because I know, if I combine, it stops being me, is what his opinion is. I would no longer be the person I am. I would change into someone else. And then that person gets to rule, and I don't want that person to rule. I want to. source
  7. Here is one of my theories. The sixteen shards all have one different personality from the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator.
  8. What if Rayse was a picked on person, invited by Hoid to make him feel better. He grew angry with the way that the others treated him after the shattering, and donned Odium. But, that leads into another question if that's correct. Is ascension guided by the power of emotions? Was Rayse feeling of hate what guided the shard to him and was Hoid's passive perspective at the moment that saved him from ascension?
  9. I've not played the new demo yet, but I've been wondering if it's any good. Is it?
  10. But that depends on if they know who they are fighting and where they are.
