  1. Okay, thanks for the help. I just happened to save the April newsletter because I really liked that hot dog story. So I got it!
  2. How can we get the prose version? His website says "If you are writing to request White Sand or Aether of Night we are no longer distributing those via email. White Sand is being sent via a link in the newsletters we occasionally send out to subscribers." I've been a subscriber for a long time, and while I may have gotten such a thing, I don't recall. It sounds like they don't want me to ask again.
  3. Thanks for the help in getting the structure set up, putting up the icons, etc. I like to focus on the summary content itself, so this is perfect.
  4. That's helpful, thanks. What are all those 115px red links? Personally, I would keep the chapter red links for now because we don't know how many chapters, interludes, etc. like we normally do with a published book. But I could un-red link them as they are released.
  5. Yes, I agree, and I would only be doing chapter summaries anyway. No point in updating Kaladin (for example) before the book is done. But again, I'll wait if they want. I'll just do them up in a Word document or something.
  6. What about over in the Coppermind wiki? Will posts about the chapters released be allowed, or is it the usual no spoilers at all until ~48 hours after the (real) release date?
  7. I'm not talking about the forum, I'm talking about wiki content.
  8. So what's the spoiler protocol for this? Are the admins going to not allow any content until the official release date in November? Or will edits (like chapter summaries) be allowed as the first 32 chapters trickle out? I guess I would vote to wait, but some people might not want to. http://www.tor.com/2017/08/15/brandon-sanderson-oathbringer-serialization-announcement/
  9. They are already pretty busy with all the character lists, symbols, etc. although I know someone created separate pages for each chapter, but I'm not sure if anything was done with those other than repeat the same text. As for level of detail, it seems to me that some of them in WoR are a bit too detailed. Ch. 2 is a good example. One improvement we can make is to put viewpoint characters in bold above each section within the chapter. They are in the WoK summaries, but not WoR for some reason. Check out Ch. 68 of WoK for a good example. BTW, what is the acronym for Oathbringer? "O"?!
  10. I'd like to focus on the chapter summaries unless someone else really wants to. I'm generally good about following through and finishing these (and finishing others that have been abandoned).
  11. So, did this plan work? Do we want to do something similar for Oathbringer?
  12. Over in the wiki, there are many references to Theoryland, Reddit, etc. within the articles. I assume those would need to be updated to point to the new database? And in the future, we should avoid referencing these other sources?
