  1. Let's face the facts, kids. The Nintendo Wii doesn't do crap. That is all.
  2. I think the feruchemist has to actually start moving their body to adhere to that course of action to make any substantial atium shadow. So if they were using physical speed as well, it work better. At some point doing this would just make it look like they're not committing to any meaningful course of action.
  3. Some think it might be Odium-Honor-Cultivation, but we do know that Odium is not native to Roshar and might therefore not count. I don't know if Truth itself could be a Shard, but it might be a name for a Shard with a slightly different aspect, or another name for Honor.
  4. ...I'm not sure what you're talking about, to be honest. Are you confused about release dates? Or about Brandon Sanderson in general? In the second case, I'd recommend Cosmere 101.
  5. Perhaps there was a time in Comsere history when interworld travel was much more common, and cultures diffused across different worlds, creating basic similarities in many. We know so little about the variety of pre-ascension cultures in Scadrial that there could easily be many, many similarities to other Shardworlds.
  6. I have seen many posts about this being Hoid's goal (more than any other theory about his goals), but yours is definately the most well-constructed one I've seen. Words can not express how awesome this is.
  7. I personally lean towards it permanently encoding those memories into your brain vividly so that they don't fade, or at least do so very slowly. With a coppermind with little stored inside it could be useful. With a large coppermind it would almost certainly drive you insane.
  8. But there were also multiple Inquisitors, some even more powerful at Seeking than Vin.
  9. I am aware of that. The idea of the post was to reply to some speculation that Red and Gold might represent two new shards, which I was countering.
  10. Or, as I said earlier, red and gold could be linked to two factions or groups linked to Ruin and Preservation respectively. My point is that, because of this, it cannot be discounted that Red and Gold are simply another take on Ruin and Preservation, as opposed to two entirely new shards.
  11. Which as we all know, is the scent of butter.
  12. It's possible, however, that in areas with less direct, physical, examples or Ruin/Preservation's influence, other colors would become associated with them. After all, why is Preservation white and Ruin black? Because the Mists and WoA, things that might not be present in the South, are white, and Ruin's mist and ash he fuels are black, again something that might not have been observed in other areas. So while those colors might be intrinsically linked to Ruin/Preservation, Red and Gold might be linked to them elsewhere as a cultural artifact, not as an attribute of either Shard.
  13. It is worth nothing that simply because White and Black are associated with Preservation and Ruin in the area of Scadrial we are familiar with, it does not mean that Red and Gold cannot also represent them in a different cultural setting on a different part of Scadrial.
  14. Or perhaps it's simply this: Humans like round numbers. We always have. In nearly all cultures on earth, you'll find relevance attached to (usually) the numbers 2,3,4,7, and 10, and their respective multiples. I admit that the relevance of 16 being attached to Preservation is not explained by this, but many examples are. As for Roshar, I see this as correlation without causation. Almost any of those instances could be the cause of some or all of the others, or they could all be the cause of another, external factor. So ten is not necessarily a special number, it's just that once there was 10 of one thing, and in emulation or as a result, now there are 10 of many different things.
  15. Could a helpful soul dig up places to find more information on this? My searching skills are woefully inadequate and I have, thus far, found nothing.
