  1. Do we happen to know what metal Nightblood is made from? Aside from that, has anybody thought of whether different kinds of metal might respond differently to Awakening?
  2. Maybe someone already posted about this.. What do you guys think Renarin was about to say in this part? Not far along on Oaths? Shielded by the Stormfather? “What is it?” Renarin whispered. “Glys is frightened, and won’t speak.” “Pattern doesn’t know,” Shallan said. “He calls it ancient. Says it’s of the enemy.” Renarin nodded. “Your father doesn’t seem to be able to feel it,” Shallan said. “Why can we?” “I… I don’t know. Maybe—” “Shallan?” Adolin said, looking out of the room, his faceplate up. “You should see this.”
  3. So Re-Sephir was trying to insert herself into Shallan’s spirit web, replacing Pattern. I imagine that this would give Shallan-Re-Sephir their own Nahel bond but this would have also made Re-Sephir susceptible to death. Could it be that the Re-Sephir’s imprisonment is actually her death, much like a Spren dies and becomes a blade upon the breaking of oaths? Of course that would mean that Shallan (or whoever Re-Sephir bonds with) make and break those oaths somehow... Just curious what you guys thought?
  4. First off, thanks for the answers! I'm starting to see what you guys mean (just went through Wax's conversation with Harmony which I thought hilarious and loved). I will continue to read the books but I continue to have the following questions, "Preservation put more of himself into humans than Ruin." This action led to a decrease in Preservation's power (in comparison to Ruin) and it was a considerable amount in order for him to have to bind Ruin by sacrificing his mind and having to hide his body/Atium (which is something I still need to study up on). I imagine that the Cosmere operates by similar laws to our actual Universe in that energy cannot be destroyed only transformed. Preservation's power is still imbued in humankind. Wouldn't that still mean that Ruin's power is stronger than Preservation's in Harmony? Dunkum raised another question but I think I know the answer. The power in the Well of Ascension, that won't be part of the world anymore correct? It was absorbed back into Harmony upon his Ascension. Correct? It would have been interesting to see Ruin's side of Ascension haha. Along the same lines of burning Atium. When Atium is burned, it would condense back to physical form. Is this the same for all other metals (God and normal metals)?
  5. Does Sazed (Harmony) have a weaker 'power set' compared to Leras and Atium? He obtained the power after Leras and Ati passed. Technically, he doesn't hold the complete power of the Shards since all/most of the Atium/Lerasium was burned away by Humans in Scadria. What does this mean for Sazed as a god? What implications do you see for the future of the series? It seems like the power of the Shards is slowly deteriorated across each planet... I have read The Stormlight Archives, Mistborn Era 1 and am now starting the Shadows of Self. Also, am I right to assume that Ati's/Ruin's complete power would have given him the power to see the future? If so, what would have been Leras'/Preservation's? Vin was able to 'remember' how Preservation's power was used in the past by Rashek... Lerasium is able to give the power of Allomancy to humans but Vin was able to use all metals to kill the Inquisitors once she took upon herself the mists...
