  1. Yeah, the US is definitely lagging in terms of internet coverage. I know someone from a small town that pays $90 for 1.5mb down and 500kb up. It's pathetically over priced. The data caps are a joke too. Just a corporate scam to nickle and dime their way to irrelevance.
  2. Ahh, but first we must ask, "What is not Ford's narrative?"
  3. Any users out there? I'm getting it installed in a few months. I imagine I'll feel like how Vin felt the moment she ascended...
  4. 100% agree. It's one of those shows where you can't miss a scene. Have to shut the phone off and put it across the room too. And smoke juuuust the right amount of weed.
  5. I love Westworld. The visuals are spectacular. My only regret is that it isn't presented in 4k...yet. It's also so strikingly similar to Red Dead Redemption in theme, visuals, etc.
  6. +1 I made the mistake of getting to this part right as I was about to go to bed. Sleep was postponed.
  7. Welcome! Also, ONLY 16 reps allowed per day?! What has this world become...
  8. He is a machine. Unbelievable writing pace.
  9. I've got my adblocker set to prevent suspicious cookies.
  10. Yeah, I'm going to do the same, I think. Need to be fresh on the story for round 3.
  11. So many good quotes on this topic already. Two others that I absolutely loved: I read this on a plane and my significant other busted me tearing up afterwards. I told her to leave me alone to have my moment. That was before she started reading Sanderson. Now she gets it. And a Shallan/Dalinar gem: I really like the second one because I think it's a perfect way to show the significance of that moment. Dalinar, a person who has been through so much and seen most of what the world has to offer, gets his mind blown by something tiny to the point where it produces an extremely rare spren. All paired with the moment of confidence shown by Shallan to finally let herself be known to the world. Very cool stuff.
  12. Agreed. Hoid has been around forever. He knows it all, which is why we won't get his back story until after Stormlight 10.
  13. I don't think we'll get much POV from either of them. So much of their knowledge is held as a mystery, and I think Brandon does that intentionally. It's intriguing and part of the reason that Jasnah had to make a comeback eventually. We know she's very important, but revealing too much of that importance at once via internal dialogue may be a little too much to fast.
  14. Hi everyone. I started reading Sanderson with The Way of Kings about 18 months ago and haven't looked back since. I'm through all of the current Cosmere novels, with only Bands of Mourning left remaining. I'm a huge Sanderson fan and love nerding out about his amazingly good book climaxes, which the lady friend and I have coined as "SandStorms." I'm happy to be on the message boards finally, as I was avoiding them so that I didn't get the Cosmere books spoiled accidentally.
