  1. A question for Peter, actually: I've recently been made aware that we aren't sure of exactly how a Rosharan inch translates to Imperial or Metric. They must be large if Rosharan feet are ten inches but they're longer than Cosmere standard (if that's the same as Imperial, anyway).
  2. Zane, easy. I pity him given that he was Straff's kid and Ruin broke him, but I still hate him both personally and as a character.
  3. If I had any natural visually artistic ability, I'd be a Forger. As-is, though, I had to go with the most practical for modern day real life (Feruchemy).
  4. Okay, so, we know that Shallan is 5'6", but also that Rosharan feet are larger than Cosmere (Earth) standards. So, do we have any concrete measurements for Rosharan feet, and thus how talk the resisdent small person is?
  5. Granted, but you permanently lose the ability to perceive mercury in any form, with any senses (be the ones that a human normally has or ones that are artificially induced), including in pictures, on computer readings, or anything else that could be used as a loophole. This still applies if you somehow change bodies, or you attempt to perceive it through the cognitive or spiritual realms as well. I wish for the ability to be a perfect minmaxer in all RPGs. (Please ignore the previous post; I forgot to quote the post to which I was responding).

  7. Granted, but you are always as low on the metaphorical totem pole as one can be, stuck as the least important, influential, sapient being in that world. I wish to never suffer any effects that, by my standards, qualify as negative, from any wish that I make on this page or as part of any game like this. (This is a redux of one from the very first page, hopefully rephrased well enough to avoid bad stuff.
  8. I was really bored, so I decided to figure out how RWBY characters would fit in terms of Cosmere powers. Ruby is a Steel Ferring (Maybe a Compounder; it would make sense to an extent, but it seems a bit powerful for her) Weiss is a Lightweaver, maybe? She's a scholarly type, and Soulcasting seems fitting for an ice-wielder. Blake... I really don't know. Yang clearly has Pewter. Maybe a Pewter Misting, Gold Ferring? Jaune is an Electrum Ferring. Nora is a Pewter Compounder. Pyrhha is a full Mistborn. Ren is a Tin Compounder, because of all the times he's been able to tell people were nearby. Ozpin is some Hoid-like ancient Worldhopper from Yolen, and has also somehow gotten a Lerasium bead for himself. Glynda is an Elantrian. Roman is a Steel Ferring (just look at how quickly he's moved. He once fired a shot, then grabbed it out of the air with his cane's hook.) Neo is an Atium Misting.
  9. So, I came across this thread recently, and given that the last post was prior to: White Sand, Edgedancer, Oathbringer, Secret History, and two Wax and Wayne books, I decided to go ahead and recreate it. So, a few random battle ideas: Shallan vs Wayne (Battle of Disguises; they both compete to accomplish some specific objective first) Steelheart vs The Lord Ruler (assuming the latter has heard of Steelheart's strength in detail, and feels the slightest bit of fear) Kaladin, Szeth, Lift and Renarin vs Vin, Kelsier, Marsh, and Sazed One Misting of each type vs One Ferring of each type Edit: Could someone move this to Brandon General?
  10. A story about a ten year old member of Project Freelancer (I may or may not have been ten). Also, a horrendously bad story I wrote at age eight, I'll find and post it tomorrow.
  11. I was reading Warbreaker again the other day and I noticed that "Shash" is the first letter of the alphabet. Isn't that also a Glyph on Roshar? If so, is this a coincidence or do their alphabets share a common link?
  12. "The entirely obscure," agig responds. "For instance, did you know that "Shash", in addition to being a glyph, is also the first letter of the alphabet used in Warbreaker?"
  13. Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will speculate even if there is nothing to speculate upon.
  14. Er... Eh, heh heh, I was just joking. Dun ban plz.
