  1. Is that new information? For some reason I could have sworn Brandon said at least 1 character would have 2 books?
  2. I realize this posting was quite a while ago, but figured I would note that Vasher now uses stormlight in place of breaths to keep himself alive. So as far being possible for returned like deneth to use breaths to fuel allomancy, personally I don't find that to be too far-fetched of an idea. Just my 2 cents at least.
  3. Thank you everyone who has responded to this question. Really appreciate it, and I think (hopefully) that I understand correctly. Hemalurgy can do a lot, but its not usable for every occasion and there is nothing you can do about some level of drawback. If anyone here has anymore info, or feel that it hasn't all been explained please post more I'm very interested. Everyone here tho, have a cookie !
  4. I am an avid comic reader, with nearly complete collections of multiple comics. That being said, White Sands was comparably a let down. SPOILERS: Skaa has said it best. The biggest drawback for me was the pacing. Sanderson writes novels. (Yes he writes short stories as well, but White Sands is not one of them) These novels have large amounts of world building and take a couple hundred pages to keep the smooth transitions of characters and plot flowing in the cohesive and action-packed stories that Sanderson is amazing at. Unfortunately this graphic novel seemed jarring as it attempted to draw the world, showcase the action, keep the plot moving, and make us care about the characters. SPOILER: At one point Kenton is amazed at another characters use of a pistol. Yet the next page it's admitted that the Sand Masters lifelong enemies use something "Extremely similar". So why the shock and awe? End of the day: My take is it would have been much better served as just a true novel or with more pages of graphics and dialogue to help it flow. *Edit* Also as everyone else seems to have mentioned, the Sand Master clones... come on man, I bought the hardback and I still had to squint at um to see differences.
  5. I suppose I should have put it as two questions. The first one is could someone like the God King have his store of breath taken from him and given to another forcefully through a hemalurgic spike. it sounds like from these answers that yes this could potentially happen. However the second question, "is it possible to have a perfect transfer of power?" sounds like it it might not be possible even under the most ideal circumstance. .ie if the God King has 50,000 breaths, your saying its more then likely the one who receives the spike is really only getting like 30,000 or less breaths even under best circumstances? *edit* Reread Kenod's answer; so Breath is probably not a good example, but it was the easiest thing I could think of to give a clear description @Oversleep
  6. New to the forums, and didn't see this in the Q&A, though I am sure someone else has asked somewhere. Is it possible, using hemalurgy, with immediate spike transfer (straight through one soul to another without indirect contact to any outside particle such as air) to fully transfer every known shard power to a single holder? *Theoretically, of course, I would be surprised if even Harmony could tell you where to put an honorspren spike.*
  7. Would absolutely love for you to Botanica! Thank you very much !
  8. Hi guys just made this account and was wondering if anyone knew of a good monk of Dakhor pic floating around or if anyone was interesting in creating one? : )
