  1. I don't think Scadrial would be able to field enough soldiers (soldiers=magic users plus regular people with weapons) in Roshar in order to make a difference. They would have to build hundreds if not thousands of FTL ships to carry enough soldiers to make Rosharans run for there lives. now if they build a death star then that's different (Kaladin I am your father). Even if they have the resources they do not have the economic means and, come on, people would not join one cause. Scadrial is too divided. Look at it from the US perspective and Islamist terrorist. Some say we should go and root them out, others complain about how much it would cost, others just don't care, etc etc. We know that there is a kandra in Roshar; how it got there, we don't know, used the cognitive realm? perhaps but everything we know about Scadrial they cannot worldhop or enter the cognitive realm. Rosharans can and they might be able to worldhop eventually, maybe, perhaps. So, Rosharans can do raids and wear them out eventually. So, my conclusions is that Rosharans will win. not with conventional, see your enemy tactics but by raids and unconventional means.
  2. "Ah, the outdoors," Shallan said. "I visited that mythical place once." Does anyone know where this mythical place is? Take a ride on the unicorn, over the rainbow, forget about the pot of gold. Jump over the pit of spikes, life over death after all. there's going to be a group of kids, shove them aside so they can know that the strong goes first before the weak. finally, go back through the kids, jump over the pit, past the pot of gold, over the rainbow, Yes you end up on the same spot you began but its about the journey not the destination. look at your left there is a door that leads to the outdoors.
  3. Logarithmalsium10 is always fighting with all his brothers Logarithmalsium1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, in the same cosmere.... so Subtractonalsium doesn't have to worry about them, they'll eventually kill themselves. now exponentalsium is going to be a tough cookie, that Subtractonalsium won't try to mess with. And forget about factoronalsium!!!
  4. ha! You forgot to mention multiplicationalsium and dividonalsium. Each live in their own parallel Cosmere-verse. Subtractonalsium wants to destroy the other cosmere-verses and started with Adonalsium, which is her direct opposite. Beware multiplicationalsium and dividonalsium beware.
  5. The weapon that is use to shatter adonalsium he uses it on whoever was trying to shatter him. So the cosmere as we know never happened.
  6. I think Kaladin would be the one to die for the main characters... Shallan's story, infiltrating the ghost bloods, doing scholarly research is too important to the story line and revealing information about the cosmere and roshar. As she learns this info she will become conniving, sharp tongued to escape anything the ghost blood or the diagramist throw at her. Kaladin's story I find it kind of finished, I don't know how Brandon can continue his story line or do. I think Kaladin is going to become sort of like kelsier existing in the cognitive realm or shadesmar and able to fight in the cognitive realm, attacking the sprens from odium on that side. while shallan tries to help in the physical realm and travel between both worlds. And have a love triangle with Adolin and kaladin both on different planes and none of them able to find out.
  7. might be spoiler-y read on at your own discretion. So, I was thinking when a shardblade is summoned water beads as if condensed from mist is said to contain on the sword. So, this is my theory or hypothesis. Since a shardblade is an almost-dead-spren and when summoned there is steam and condensation, the spren was in cryogenic state in the cognitive realm. When summoned and brought back to the physical realm the condensation is liquid nitrogen still clinging to the blade or the spren is frozen that freezes the air around and actually creates condense water too from the air on the surface, until it reaches equilibrium with the ambient temperature. Side note: Spren are very technological advanced if/since they have cryogenic technology.
  8. Great point and I kind of agree, but Syl is an honorspren wouldn't she want to honor kaladin by remaining as his weapon of choice. Or is it occam's razor and as the other posters say last form when oath is broken is their frozen form... 2028 can't get here fast enough
  9. I want to say in WoR when Dalinar is having one of his visions at the keep and the Knights charge but then stop and drop their weapons and plate are all the weapons swords? I want to say yes but not too sure sorry can't look passage I don't have book in front of me. Aside everytime they mention shardblades in the books they're referring to swords. As we all know kaladin is a master with the spear and prefers the spear over the sword. When kaladin breaks his oath or dies, which both are possibilities, will Syl make the last change to a sword or spear?
  10. Shallan: "Dalinar, can you have the stormfather to stop blowing so hard my hair is tangling up." Dalinar: "Use a bottle of hair spray it worked for the 80's and 90's." Shallan: " "
  11. As I have it understood is that feruchemy is neither from preservation nor ruin. For an allowance which a bit more preservation can use metals and gain powers, more than what they invest, preservation. Hemalurgy by transferring powers from one person to another it weakens that power, hence ruin. But feruchemy you don't gain nor lose anything you store you can get it back at another time. Without losing nor gaining. Yeah you can make yourself weight 20x more for one minute but you've gone half lighter for 40 minutes. Half your weight time 40 minutes = 20x your weight and you can use it for a minute or 40x for 30 seconds. And supposedly neither preservation nor ruin had anything to do that or so I've thought And Hemallurgy is non genetic
  12. Wouldn't space also have a cognitive realm? A bit vague cognitive since humans don't know too much about it but somewhat to make it possible to travel. So whenever worldhoppers hop planets I guess they would have something somewhat solid to travel on and not just a gap
