  1. Araris posted so I can put this here EDIT (not anymore) Why would he want to? This creates a false binary where either he admits he submitted the kill or else he has to vote for the person you want. I don't think this is nefarious, just incorrect. But are we?? because if we are, we are very incorrect. I would love to try and figure out who is actually on the elim team. For example, at this point is there any team Turtle doesn't fit on? It doesn't especially matter because they didn't submit the kill. Tani has the bodyguard blade and didn't kill Araris, so it probably isn't you.
  2. It's interesting to me that only honorblade bearers gain stormlight. Was there anyone who has a blade, but was not refreshed with stormlight? I will go back to review what's been revealed and try to piece together who has how many charges in a minute. Of the four of us, I still most suspect Infinite Insanity. Elkanah. I don't really have any good reasons, though. Tani sounds village to me. Amanuensis is trying to solve the game and Stick went after Xino early on. That could be an attempted bus for an inactive eliminator, though. Stick has been known to do that. And I'm getting little flashbacks to MR12, but that was a loooong time ago. Infinite Insanity is kind of a blank spot in my memory. Definitely worth an ISO. She claims not to have used any actions which means she is either lying or has been available to submit the kill. Neither seems great. You also suggested that Tension makes the most sense for an eliminator blade, and I agree.
  3. Sure fair enough, but why didn't I tie Stick with you? I could easily have hidden behind the fact that I like ties. Especially given Chantara was available for a last second save? I give you I wasn't any more suspicious of Wizard than anyone else. I knew Alvron was going to make it a tie no matter what so I decided at end of day to make it easier and let him know I would stay where I was right then so he could get the tie. I was definitely more suspicious of Bookwyrm, but it didn't matter where I landed because Alvron was going to tie it anyway. Stick breaking the tie worked to our advantage as it put her in the spotlight. An eliminator having to make a move is exactly what I wanted and what we got. I know people say ties don't help the village, but I contend it has in the past and it did here. You have your ways and I have fun ways Wow, apparently I had thoughts. Thank you for letting me air those. As for my other votes, I would have joined the main wagon every day probably. I apologize for sheeping. I didn't really want to be on every wagon. I said I didn't want to join a Bookwyrm wagon, but did. I wanted to stay aloof from the Stick wagon, but needed to prevent the tie because I did suspect her. I would have been on the Cash train because WOW those posts were suspicious. I was on the Chantara train and basically everyone was. My gut has not been super useful this game and I have no mechanical advantages like messaging, blades or a doc to even that playing field. Really I'm still very surprised to be alive given I'm a great mislynch target. Unsympathetic may be the operative term there as two of my three votes were on eliminators, but I know that could be written off as team too little too late. Except I don't think I would have been on Stick. To paraphrase ShiningSilhouette, E! Elkanah was not a good teammate.
  4. I deserve this I did get forgiven by Kas, but I have seen more quokkas in that week than I had in my entire life previously.i should be admonished. ...I just realized! If we slaughter me, we can have Elk Burgers!!! Elk Burgers
  5. Day one: I dishonored my cow by looking at thread PMs. I sent my action to slaughter my dishonored cow. Night One: I offered dishonored cow burgers to anyone who targeted me. I'm not sure if Xino received one or just slapped one out of my hand with a blade. I was not informed that my action failed, so I'm hoping he was able to enjoy it and we parted peacefully. I haven't had the time or creativity since for more actions like this, but now I wish I had. Maybe I'll come up with something today like 'give a stern scolding to anyone who changes other people's votes' or 'leave cookies and a note for the Tulare asking them to just keep the blades they have and go home peacefully.'
  6. Sure thing! V: Elkanah, Archer, Araris N+: Amanuensis N: JNV, Infinite Insanity, Tani E: Turtle, Shining Silhouette JNV has risen in my estimation for bussing Chantara. That would be a brutal move if they were elim together... and questionable strategy at that point in the game now that I think about it more. Turtle and Shining Silhouette were the other two who did not start with blades, so at least one of them is probably an eliminator. I think it's both.
  7. This team makes sense to me. I just suggested a very similar one with Chantara and InfiniteInsanity on the bubble for the fourth elim. Why did you have Turtle higher on your suspicion list here than Chantara given you knew Chantara had Illwei's blade? Just to be clear, are you suggesting that half the team wanted to bus and the other half didn't or am I misreading your post? I need to reread that section. Voting for Stick does support them being a villager. I believe they posted a distancing vote and left before the train took off. I agree. I could use a fresh pair of eyes. Welcome to the game Amanuensis! This is a very different list. What changed in an hour? Also, is your main reason for suspecting me that I didn't start with a blade? I wasn't going to admit to that to keep up the possibility that I started with Chanarach, but Shining Silhouette confirming you were right means either you are on a team together or you got the info from Alvron. I believe you are village and therefore the latter. (Unless I just want the elims to think I didn't start with Chanarach ) Ah here they are. I still think this is correct, though I still have some information you don't have (my GM PM that says I'm village). This was the first point this cycle where I thought "huh, maybe Araris is Tukari." I'm grateful for the follow up information. Hello Aman! Welcome back! Wait... *does some math things* So if the pool is Shining, Elk, Chantara, Turtle, and VillagerGuy AND I know I am !V THEN Shining, Chantara and Turtle are !E. Sorry, that also assumes that three elims did not start with blades, but I'm comfortable with that grouping. I was not following that bob is your uncle logic. apparently I needed it spelled out. Numbers mine. 1 Done 2 No, but reasons is reasons and effort is effort. 3 It looks like we've settled at midnight (consolation prize). I just wanted to make sure that one person can't switch and throw the vote. Coordinating four is still possible, but I think less likely at this point. 4 This is in reference to Shining Silhouette's vote on Stick. I thought it was earlier in the train and not really a threat to Stick's life (but I still need to review). 5 Ooooooh I finally get it. sorry for being slow. Yeah it's weird that JNV and Shining Silhouette would go two very different ways on the Stick lynch. That would show either they aren't teamed or one of them didn't check the doc... or maybe a disagreement? Unlikely but possible: they used it to distance. If one gets caught the other gains trust. I still think the evidence supports E!Shining Silhouette, but I admit that comes from knowing my alignment and the bladeless information. I will absolutely take two votes. I'm even okay with having both where you put them, although if you want to add them both to the train that's good too. I can't say I would as a villager. As an elim it makes perfect sense and I probably would do it, yes. EDIT Oops sorry @Ashbringer I forgot to vote Chantara Shining Silhouette
  8. yep. It's you or Turtle or both. Probably both. I'm mobile, so I apologize if this count is wrong but I don't think it is: (1) JNV: Tani (4) Turtle: Araris, Elkanah, JNV, Shining Silhouette (1) Shining Silhouette: Archer, It's weird that my two other biggest suspects are helping me lynch Turtle. Maybe that's their plan. I'm expecting an end of day hammer. I will make sure I am on to try and counter, but we should do what we can to sure up a lynch on a good target before then. For now, Turtle Shining Silhouette
  9. Thank you for this analysis Archer! I've read it several times and it's so much easier than going and reading everything over again. There are a couple items I disagree with you on, but I believe you've read the whole game more times than I have. I need to do a deeper reread, but here are my thoughts first. Bold mine. I spent too long looking for this. I think you meant Stick, which I agree makes Xino look like a preferred mislynch. I believe the elims also thought I would be an easy target due to my courtship with chaos. I didn't agree with your day read of day one Turtle. Poke votes are mostly NAI. Here though, you have a point. Shining ties to both Turtle and Stick and attempts to drive the two mislynches that Stick wanted. This is interesting in that If I was an elim I would have listed two villagers with an elim, but that leads to a spiral so I'll stop there. I can leave this one at I believe at least one of Turtle or Shining Silhouette is an elim. Well... I almost allowed a tie. I decided to vote for the person I thought was more suspicious (Xinoehp), assuming another person I was suspicious of (Stick) would get lynched. Kas pointed out that if I didn't seal the deal, it would be easy for someone else (Alvron) to make a tie. I decided to prevent the tie. These are good points and I'm guessing it's E!all of them. I am more suspicious of Shining Silhouette than Chantara at this point because of their support of and from Stick as well as their reads list. Shortened Reads List: Elkanah- I know my alignment. Archer- A mix of effort clearing, gut, and that Archer was the main other train against Stick Araris- There was no need to bus Stick that hard as an elim Xinoehp- Was targeted by a known elim Tani- Reads village to me. Chantara- Hasn't posted much. The Stick vote was too much of an IKYK to read into Infinite Insanity- I don't remember most of their posts and they are here mostly for the low activity elim assumption. This has a strong possibility of changing on a reread JNV- For Reasons above Turtle- Makes sense to kill Illwei. Ties to Stick. Shining Silhouette- Targets favored elim mislynches. Ties to Stick. I need to reread everything, but for now I will vote Turtle. I am considering revealing my blade and actions, but I'm going to chew on that a little longer.
  10. Wow, it seems several people have been down and out. I am chastened for my abysmal activity level. That said, I'm afraid I don't have the time or ability to deep dive right now. I really felt off about Stick switching to save bookwyrm on day one and she would have been my vote day two. Then Bookwyrm flipped village and I thought, well, maybe she was just right. I currently have her at 'maybe E' and I wouldn't mind lynching her today. I'm currently more interested in Xino. The self preservation vote that wasn't strikes me as really weird. I need to go back and remember the other reasons I suspect them, but if I post this soon, maybe I can be a little useful to the thread. I'll also admit I strongly considered voting for myself day 2 to make the tie, but decided it might be just a little too destructive to the village as my flip really wouldn't have revealed much and I still suspected Bookwyrm.
  11. Hello. I'm here. My family was visited by the Covid fairy. I've only minimally been keeping up with the thread and I apologize. I'm going to go and read this cycle and provide thoughts shortly.
  12. @Ashbringer, I don't suppose you have an updated vote count? I think I favor a large tie, but if that isn't going to happen, I'll probably switch my vote to Bookwyrm.
  13. I have a lot here and not a lot of time. I will try to get through it all. HAHAHAHA this is about as secret as PM's usually stay isn't it? Sorry I missed this edit before. This is probably part of it. Also, for what it's worth, I only had a poke vote on Alvron for a quarter of the first cycle. That's not super long in the scheme of things. I feel your pain. Also, good one This. This is why I summoned Alvron. See above. I just really like playing with Alvron... Although, it seems like in most folklore, those who summon the powerful become their first victims I'm waiting for the omelet train as a counter to the pizza train. LHF? Left Handed Firefighters Lost Hidden Found Last Hound First Let Hoid Fight Little High Fives Luring Hires for Free To paraphrase Juaquin Pheonix: I get what I ___ deserve. Thank you! if you wouldn't mind sending me that Chanarach blade as well, it might be more helpful (or put off the inevitable ) It seems like everyone is . Oh you mean the player. Nevermind. No but it seems to do more than a blade at this point! It has more vote manip anyway. Then you're doing it right? Out of interest, what do you want to be called. I try to use full names when possible, but I have tended to get lazy in the past or fall in with what everyone else is saying. How very Distortion of you (see Magnus Archives) Fun mostly, but I take your point. It's nice to get good at what you enjoy. I notice you are not on either of these lists. Well played. That means you are on your own list which I might assume to be "eager" or just possibly "will vote for the right bribe". RIP I'm glad you enjoyed! See above. I'm just excited to play with Alvron again. Once I've summoned him? Mostly enjoy the chaos that ensues. True. It should be NAI and ignored. I do still appreciate the sentiment. I didn't want to start or pile on a train for one weird post. In the end I did end up joining it and I'm likely to go back to it. I haven't seen any answers from Bookwyrm to change my mind, and there have been some comments on how this is similar to other games where he was an elim. It could still just be the way Bookwyrm plays regardless of alignment, but it is the most suspicious thing I've seen. Yes, I'm likely to go back to Bookwyrm. He's my highest suspect at the moment. Especially where last I saw the ties are no more. (there are eight new replies though, so who knows. Sorry, Illwei. I wish I had the time this game, but I'm afraid I don't You say that, but here I am probably going to change my vote at 11:30 pm (t minus 30 minutes from rollover. So sorry to hear that. 8 pages of Mat and Kas saying they appreciate each other's arguments but are dusgusted with their conclusions. 1 page of Elkanah enjoying himself. 1 page of in-thread PM's that don't add up to much. 1 page of memes. almost 1 page of alignment and role distribution theorizing 1.5 pages of poke votes. I don't know. Vote manip makes me a little less likely to enjoy the tie. Done. Now I need to read the rest of this post and the fifteenish other posts that followed it.
  14. I caught up again! What do I do now? Sorry for going radio silent. I was trying to catch up on all the work I wasn't doing yesterday because I was having fun here. Probably time to control-f all my mentions. Back soon I hope
  15. Solid points. It wasn't so important that I kept my vote on Alv as that I refrained from voting on Bookwyrm for one sketchy post. I figured if I wasn't moving my vote for a reason, it could sit where it was (and I could continue making jokes about summoning). A new train would have been fine, but I didn't have a target for that either. I was okay with them leaving their votes on Mat because it maintained the tie. That was the only reason left for voting for Mat as far as I could see. Ties are Alvrons favorite food.
  16. I still think Shining and Insanity's votes on Mat are weird. I bet Kas is the only one with more posts than Mat this cycle, and I see both of you lurking. What are your thoughts? Is there a reason outside of summoning Alv for keeping your votes on Mat?
  17. I'm hiding behind my silly pokevote to try to not just join a train on someone. I really do want to hear what they want to say. It's taking everything I have to keep these brakes intact. although, given Xino's vote tally, I would prefer to lynch Bookwyrm over Mat. Alvron I guess brakes are overrated Edit: This is a good point. Still, I'll leave my vote as posted. maybe it will add a little weight to my question.
  18. Not usually I realize this thread is exploding like an egg in a microwave, but I'd really like to hear more about this. I don't think Mat suspecting people of working together is indicative of him being Tukari. I recognize that Kas has experience, other reasons, and a little trauma that support his suspicion; but do you have any support for this other than that Kas is suspicious of him? Please feel free to take the time you need to catch up on the thread, but I'm eager to know if there is more to this. Being a bit blunt, this is the most suspicious post I've seen this game and there's not a lot in it. It feels like you were looking for an opportunity to be present in thread and solidify a lynch without being noticed. You are currently my top suspect and I might vote for you if we ever hear from Alvron.
