  1. I did it again I left for months with no warning and haven't even come back on to check anything Sorry, i'm back now Though i'lll probably just leave again in like 2 weeks soo....
  2. 65daysofstatic- Wild Light full of variety, hard rock beats, eerie drones and spidery melodies, this is an Alt. Rock album, with instrumental songs, combining traditional guitar/drums/bass with synth and samples, as well as many interesting other sounds (no spoilers!) And speaking of spoilers, the album almost has a story to it, only there if you know what you're looking for. There are 2 main arcs, climaxing once in the middle and again in the last song, whose plinking piano gives the feeling of the album dying away, and yet it is resurrected in its final moments with a boom of synth so power it shakes you to the core. A must listen p.s this band is doing the music for No Mans Sky!
  3. Haha no that was just a bit of hyperbole. I know that his history is VERY skewed. I even checked with my history teacher about it! just changed my life cos it was an amazing un-putdownable read
  4. Da Vinci code just changed my life, and I'm not entirely sure if for better or worse
  5. Thou spirit shineth brighter than a bird of the sun You know what, instead of just making puns, they'll be in some good ol flowery archaic prose
  6. It's a LOT better, the cast of characters is incredibly diverse and interesting, with pretty much every single ethnicity represented in quite a non-stereotypical way (Except for the Australian) and there's even hints hidden throughout the book which are all clues to the real-world location of some treasure!
  7. Thou hath a heart of steel I'm making it my mission to only compliment people in this thread with terrible puns. Prepare for the worst..
  8. I'm binging it as i type this and I have to say it is absolutely amazing, what with the 80's vibe which was absolutely nailed, and an awesome atmosphere with some genuinely unsettling antagonists. Eleven's Dad is so cold and creepy
  9. Just got the text from Dymocks today, MY COPY OF CURSED CHILD HAS ARRIVED AND I CAN PICK IT UP TOMORROW ANY TIME PAST 10AM I AM GOING TO CRY WHEN I HOLD It IN MY HANDS
  10. It isn't fantasy, but a series that is similar to Sanderson in that it's exciting, interesting, and fast-paced, is the Endgame series by James Frey. Though, however in the vein of some of the other options in this list, it can be fairly violent at times, and there is a large amount of death, in fact the entire series is hunger games-esque where a group of people try to kill each other, though this time it's all around the world and a lot more sci-fi. I would rate it VERY highly.
  11. Yeah I know, I wasn't trying to push it aside, just continuing this thread as I think it's a great idea, and shouldn't get lost in the General Discussion backlog
  12. I think we're forgetting the most deserving candidate of all! Silverblade! After all, you founded the thread, and are an awesome person in general as well
  13. Dear diary: yesterday I had to run a 5k cross country course, subsequently died and have spent the entirety of my day barely able to walk as my legs are cramped beyond all repair. To summarise: I am finding my education to be satisfying and rewarding to my mind and body
