  1. So at the end of the book, Kaladin is facing Amaram who has bonded to 2 Shardblades. Since this is now confirmed possible, would it also be possible to bond to 2 (or more) honorblades? With 10 honorblades total, you could have 2 people who bond to 5 each and get access to all 10 Surges if they do not double up on any Surges. They would be SO POWERFUL, especially if they can recharge Stormlight like Dalinar does. Thoughts?
  2. So I was reading through Stormlight Archives for the umpteenth time, and I noticed several symmetrical names. Here are some that I noticed, please add to this list. Also, bear in mind that H can be any letter, as mentioned in WoR by Shallan to Pattern. Ialai - Sadeas's wife Rillir - Roshone's son Laral - from Hearthstone Hanavanar - King of Jah Keved Hashal - wife of Matal, over bridgemen Vamah - highprince of Alethkar Tarah - Kaladin's mysterious army love
  3. Baking cookies may have complications with some of the metal ingredients. Also, when is the next supply of 'chocolate chips'?
  4. The new quipsmith, Raklan, runs out the door, sensing something. In the shadows, he sees a form twisting away. Sticking his hand out as he runs, his homorspren turns into mist and condenses into a shining, silvery... chicken bone? OK, Raklan thought. They were going to talk about his weapons very soon. But no matter, a chicken bone was just as deadly. He ran after the form, Shardbone in hand, and ran down a Dark Alley...
  5. Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays I will make fun of the unmakefunnable I shall be frustrating when people hate me for it I will not reuse jokes on pain of being dunked in a highstorm. The quipsmiths will rise again!
  6. Actually, I am rethinking... What is the chance of death from eating one of these "cookies"?
  7. My favorite character is Kaladin. His powers are awesome. And I love Hemalurgy, I'll take all the powers that I can get!
  8. I have done some browsing and posting, but never properly introduced myself. My name is Adam, and I love Brandon Sanderson (Don't we all?) I haven't read Wheel of Time, but I have read and reread his books. My favorite books are the Stormlight Archives, but I love Aon-Dor from Elantris. I'm excited to learn more about the cosmere! Thank you for all cookies in advance, I graciously accept. Except for the raisin ones.
  9. Well you don't like cookies, huh? *Pulls out a spike from behind back* Hey look, a bird!!!
  10. I believe in deception honesty. Would you like a cookie hemalurgic spike? Now going for 50% off in the Dark Alley!
  11. Elantris is a good book (obviously, who wrote it?) , and also works well as a stand alone for now. Added to the fact that it is the first timewise, I agree with you. Go read it!
  12. Also, don't forget that the number 10 is the "holy number" on Roshar. There were 10 Heralds (as pointed out), everything is symmetric in 10 parts, and many other examples, so maybe there is only a possibility of 10 combinations in this world.
  13. I don't think so. The wiki notes that "When a person takes up a Shard, the extreme power vaporizes the body, allowing the person's mind to expand." You can not, that I know of, spike something without a tangible body.
  14. Welcome! Sanderson's books are indeed the best.
