I just feel like, as an adult, I can still enjoy and relate to a "young adult" book, because it's something I went through and an age I once was. Similarly, as a teenager I had no problem enjoying and understanding adult level books either. I just have trouble understanding why a book would be "targeted" towards one specific age group, when people of any age can enjoy it.
I think that the targeting thing swing the other way on this one. While, yes, adults can still relate to these things since they were once teenagers, some teenagers may dislike a book that was written for adults because they don't relate to as many of the things in the book as they would in a teen book, since they don't have the experience of being an adult and relating to different values and emotions.

I've always thought of Sadeas as tall and in good shape as well. I also keep imagining Kaladin as someone who looks like he's in his late twenties/early thirties, which probably has something to do with his temperament. Also, Kelsier is short and has brown hair in my mind.

I see a fantastic emoticon. I hear tell of puns pertaining to ponies. Indicates well that you like Sticks, and that you like magical ponies. 10/10.

Then Make one. Though Honestly? (This is going to Get me a Lot of Negative reviews) I never got the Whole "Great and Powerful Stick!" thing. It's a Stick.
It was pretty funny, though.

We haven't really seen what heralds can do yet, so I'd take the returned.
Would you rather be a Coinshot or Lurcher?
Coinshot! They can shoot coins and stuff.
Would you rather be a stick or fire?

What's your favorite Sanderson book?
P.S. I see you like poetry. My favorite is:
I sometimes feel bad about doing this.
Sometimes.
Anyhoo, you're not even close.
Once more into the breach!
You finally made it. Here it is.

Hello, 17th Shard! After infrequent lurking I decided I could probably be of more use here by lurking with an account. So, here I am. I do, of course, have an interest in Sanderson's books and the Cosmere. That isn't much to comment on, but introductions are hard. Looking forward to participating here!

First Class. I had zero expectations for that film, and it turned out awesome (rushed ending aside)
Favourite Batman?
Christian Bale and his throat cancer Batman voice. Or did you mean Batman movie? If so, The Dark Knight.
Favourite Insect?

You're a braver man than any of us, Twi.
I think I'd rather attend Obliteration's. Sure, he'd ramble on about the end of the world a lot, but I'm the sort who finds fire-and-brimstone speeches pretty amusing. Much better than whatever poisons Regalia would spew.
Would you rather take up one of the 16 canon Shards at random, or be gifted the Shard of Boredom right now?
Take up a random Shard, because then I at least have a chance of getting something good. And if I get something crappy like Odium or Ruin or something, I can just lock myself away in a couple thousand years before I change too much.
Would you rather have to use a chull as your only vehicle for the rest of your life, or have your hand Lashed to a fence post forever?

No, they were talking about it befpre the plane took off
Whew, I thought they were getting close to... never mind.
And how you drew them on your homework...
You know you're a Sanderfan when you think that this is a good idea.

I imagine if someone could hold both shards, their actions wouldn't be as constrained as Harmony's are.
Also, I think that Harmony, as an intent, probably makes Sazed restrain himself, since he has to keep the balance and all that.

In the same vein, I used to think Mitosis was an idiot for making his weakness so easy to guess by killing anyone in his vicinity who listened to music.
Now though, it's become clear that the sight of people listening to music must have provoked an irrational rage in Mitosis, which prompted him to overreact and murderize whoever was playing the music.
Actually, I think that there's a quote somewhere in Firefight where David says that he thinks that Epics are motivated to... y'know, do Epic stuff because of their fear.

Is he the reason for the holes in doughnuts?
Yeah. When you're a sword, it's hard to pick things up without poking holes in them.

Though Prof was certainly afraid of using his power to the point of feeling the corruption, it wasn't his weakness. Megan overcame her weakness when she ran into the fire. It's overcoming the weakness that seems to remove the corruption.
Also, most of the Epics we've seen so far and had the reasons for their weaknesses have had their weakness based on their greatest fear before they became Epics, so I'm not sure that it's possible for the corruption to be your fear, seeing that at the time Prof became an Epic, he presumably didn't know about the corrupting influence. Potentially, at the present of the books, seeing that they figured out about the corruption, if somebody feared becoming an Epic and being corrupted by it, that could be their weakness, but I don't think it'd work for Prof.

Hey! That's insulting to low-rep people! (like my brother's account. 12 rep...)
Haha! I have more reputation than WayneSpren's brother!
And then I casually glanced at Kobold's post.

When on a plane, you nearly panic because the person across the aile from you is a Sanderfan. (by the way, if anyone was on a plane yesterday, to and from where?)
Are you telling me that you saw me reading Firefight yesterday?

Well that fell apart quickly. David is secretly an Epic with the ability to suppress the corruption of his own ability of suppressing corruption.

Pretty much this^ I enjoy Big Nate too. I haven't really read that many super hero comics, though.
