  1. Spiritweb's structure is still unknown, maybe we don't known all nuances of hemalurgy and this characteristics can be stolen, but from unusual binding points. Also hemalurgical qualities of alloys of atium and lerasium still totally unknown.
  2. Symbols. This is interesting that all metals have allomantic symbol and feruchemical one as well, while in hemalurgy they don't. Hemalurgy can be processed by anyone. Allomancer burn metal and it's give power to himself. Feruchemist fill the metal with his power and when he tap he get power for himself. But anyone can use hemalurgy to steal power from anyone and give it to anyone. Hemalurgy is already have focus - intent of using hemalurgy and specific algorithm of actions, while others magic powers just work naturally. So not a model of atomic structure, but steel alphabet and feruchemical symbols can replace straight contact with metal, IMHO.
  3. Thanks for answers. How ever I doubt that kandra can conceive human's children - it will be too cool if they can mimic humans even on genetic level.
  4. I'm sorry guys, maybe this question is already answered, but I want to know... How do mistwraiths reproduce? Kandras have genders, but their genders can be established by Blessings, just like sentience. So do mistwraith reproduce by dividing, or they can mate?... OMG, what I'm asking about.
  5. Okay, but it is still a question. Can you store a specific people-connecting ability. For example, attractiveness, charisma and etc.?
  6. It's said that feruchemist can store spiritual connection in duralumin. However spiritual connection is a variety of relationships between people: friendship, love, leadership and etc. Intent plays important rule in the feruchemy: feruchemist can store only one sense in his tinmind, so pretty obvious that he chose what sense to store. In the same way, feruchemist chose what to store in bendalloymind: satiety or hydration. So can feruchemist chose kind of relationship that he specifically want to store in his duraluminmind?
  7. Ow... My idea seemed to be so good to me. The second reasoning in support of my idea: Preservation's intent is to preserve everything how it is. So it is obvious that knowledge about any tiny detail of physical realm is important to this Shard, and Preservation can share this knowledge, just like it share it's power with allomancers. Regarding the Lord Ruler... Nobody just did know about his feruchemical abilities, so his excellent memory looked like wonder, and no one connect it with copper bracelets.
  8. When person is both feruchemist and allomancer he/she can burn his metalmind and get an extra burst of characteristic that stored in it. This happen because this person access this power via allomancy, so extra burst go from Preservation. This multiplying effect looks normal for all feruchemical storages, except one. Coppermind. Feruchemist store memories in copper. If you compound copper, what will happen? It will stupid, if it just duplicate some of the information on coppermind. I have an idea, that when person compound his coppermind memories on it become more detailed. I mean that Preservation get necessary extra information from Cognitive or Spritual realms and give it to compounder.
  9. It's well known that only feruchemist that filled metalmind with characteristic can tap it. The most logical explanation of this law, on my opinion, is that investiture in metalmind encoded with feruchemist's sDNA during the process of storing. So it's seemed obvious to me, that if somebody steal by hemalurgy the part of feruchemist's spiritweb that respond to this ability, he can use related metalmind because it will recognize him as master. Example. Feruchemist Johned stored some important information in his coppermind. But we have a man named Werlyan. Werlyan want to access Johned's coppermind. He uses hemalurgy on Johned and steals Johned's ability of feruchemical copper by brass spike. Can Werlyan now access Johned's coppermind, or demage by hemalurical decay made this part of spiritweb not fit?
  10. This is what I talked about in my second post. All pewter allomantic features have feruchemical correspondences, but durability has not, and lerasium still only one metal with unknown feruchemical qualities and durability seem to fit so good. How I see the mechanism of feruchemical durability. Feruchemist stores the energy of intermolecular bonds. Exactly energy, not force. So when he tap, all molecules of body fall in "energetic pit", the forces between then still the same, so they influence each other in the same way as in normal state, but external force will need extra energy to change a state of any molecule. So body become more tough against internal mechanical influence and, as the side effect, it will gain an extra warmth capacity.
  11. Oh, thanks. Your idea is more uniting than mind. My idea was, that lerasium prevent body from changing under inner influence, but your way of thinking is more generic. But I think it's too generic. Every metal can store only one narrow ability. You even can't store more than one sense on tinmind, or both food and drink on the same bendalloymind. Also you can store only age on atiummind, while a lot of other natural manifestations of Ruin exist.
  12. Thank for the first answer, I understand your arguments, but I talk about durability/toughness as an mechanical property: when you store it, your body became more frail, when you tap it - you can break a brick by your head. Also I have an additional reasoning. It much weaker reasoning, but it still exist. When allomancer burn pewter, this metal give more powers than any other metal. It gives: Strength (Thug is very strong) Wakefulness (Thug need less sleep) Body warmth (Thug is more cold resistant) Health (more regeneration) Physical speed (obviously connected with strength) Satiety (Thug need less food) Durability (Thugs body less vulnerable to mechanical damage) During the strange regularity all this characteristics can be feruchemically stored. Only durability don't found it's own metalmind.
  13. I have an idea about what feature can be stored in lerasiummind. Feruchemist can store age in atium. Atium is a "flesh" of Ruin. Ruin is shard of decay and destruction. Aging is the most natural way of living creature self-destruction, so when the feruchenist fill or tap his atiummind, he manipulate with Ruin's presence in his own body. Durability/toughness/endurance (based on a intermolecular and other chemical forces, or even all four fundamental powers of nature) is a feature of material, that prevent it from destruction. So durability is a natural manifestation of Preservation. Lerasium is a "flesh" of Preservation, accordingly feruchemist can store his body's durability in lerasium. What are you think about this idea? P.S. Sorry for bad English. It is not my first language.
