    I don't belong here. I've been here for a year and I've really not made any friends, a bunch of acquaintances, yes, but not really any friends. I mostly check the site because of habit. I'm sure you find my cynicism amusing, but I don't belong here among all the nice people. To be completely honest I'm a bit of a jerk and I have to censor myself a bit too much here to be comfortable.

    Yes, I have to in real life as well, but forums are socialization for entertainment.

    ... I may or may not have called the shard the internet equivalent to a creepy, suburb where everyone is so freaking nice all the time...

    If anyone misses me I'm in the reddit cosmere Discord, I have a twitter if you want to stalk me, you can find some stuff I write on TooSpooky and I'll probably update you if Skyverea actually ever becomes a thing.

    Dresden Files isnt rock hard, but it does have rules. Lets go through how Butcher answered these because Im tired and too lazy to be creative. Crosses: Faith is a kind of magic that hurts vampires. It needs to be a symbol you have faith in, Harry for example uses his pentangle necklace. I would just need to pick up a guitar or throw a copy of Number of the Beast at them. A rapper could probably use the dollar sign they wear around their neck. Streaming water screws with magic. Thresholds are protective fields against magic, Harry can't use magic inside a Home (a place that has been lived in and cared for, public places are public places), magical creatures can't even enter.

    You don't understand, while writing the ending I was seriously questioning my life choices.

    I finished the first draft of a thing! It's a little over 2000 words, third person, past tense. It needs an edit, but I am proud of it. Un, it is pretty much what would have happened if Clive Barker had decided to rewrite Little Red Riding Hood... in fact my pitch to myself was "New Murders in the Rue Morgue+Little Red Riding Hood"... It gets weeeeeeird, but i like it.

    Quiver... I was going to give you a motivating speech, but then I realized who I was, so Im going to give you a very pessimistic speech that will somehow be motivating. You are going to die, so what if it might be a bad idea? Why does it matter? Do it. Or to paraphrase a fantastic show: "Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everyones going to die. Go make a screencap comic."

    Chrono Trigger. It has a pretty interesting battle system, is definitely fantasy, but due to the time travel element it plays with a lot of tropes and becomes something new and has some very touching stories. Honorable mention to Mother 2 and 3. I cried. Favorite Platformer?

    In 2017 I will get Skyverea (My web novel) into a presentable form. In 2017 the person below will find out they are secretly an alien experiment and go on an awesome space adventure.

    It's me in owl form. One of my cats even looks like an owl sometimes. And a bear, and oddly enough sometimes a mouse. I think he has just perfected cute mimicry.
