Why isn't Hallandren wracked with earthquakes?
Lord Pifferdoo replied to ecohansen's topic in Warbreaker
I actually really like this theory, Ecohansen! It's a cool thing that you've figured out, and I wouldn't put it past Sanderson, the Great and Powerful, to add something like this into his world. -
How Many Sharders Have Signed Copies of Books?
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Elithanathile's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I have signed and personalized copies of Way of Kings and Words of Radiance. They look so perfect together. Like Adolin and Kaladin. -
New WoB on the Origins of Luthadel (Minor Spoilers)
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Lord Pifferdoo's topic in Mistborn
No But it's still awesome! And now my signed copy of Way of Kings has a buddy! -
Guys I finally added a fact to our WoB vault! Now I feel like I contributed.

My signed copy of Words of Radiance arrived today, after a good two months, but it was worth it! I asked the question: If Elendel is named after Elend, who is Luthadel named after? This was just a question I thought of during a re-read of Alloy of Law. I just thought that I'd find a cool bit of trivia that could be put up on the Coppermind or something. But then... I have a feeling that the identity of Lutha or Luthad will become important later on in the Alloy of Law arc. What do you guys think?

Heirs to the Final Empire: Roleplaying Thread
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Inactive RPs
Primus Pifferdoo, First of his Name, nearly choked on the ash as his long cloak whipped through the air. My my, that is annoying how the damnation thing pulls me off balance in the wind. This newfound gift of flight had occupied the man for some time after Rashek's Ascension. The gifts given by Steel and Iron seemed the most intriguing to Primus, and already he was devising some sort of method to travel freely between cities. Maybe carrying metal spikes to Shoot into the ground, then Recalling them after - no, they would have to be some permanent fixture. If there were mineral deposits along the roads - no, we wouldn't be that lucky. Hmm... An hour of thought later, Primus Pifferdoo found himself on the tallest tower of his "keep": an abandoned church of Kilvaros, God of Rivers and Life. Rashek, in his sudden Holiness, had banned the practice of other religions. Primus had been one of the last preachers of Kilvaros, and as a result could not bring himself to abandon his faith so freely. He fingered at the bottle of river water he kept tied to a rope around his neck. My cousins of the faith have already started convincing the few rivermen left to move into the city. Once my people are here, they can begin building vessels on which to seize control of the waterways. Primus wringed his hands. There was so much work to be done. A day later, Primus Pifferdoo was Shooting and Recalling nails when he realized something. In this new world of Allomancy, my blood will soon become the most valuable commodity. "However elevated we may be, Rashek, we have sunk farther than you may imagine." Primus muttered to himself. That being said, an heir would be more useful in the long run than any trading company or business deal. A bond in blood will only secure alliances for the future, and insure the survival of my family, and ultimately, my faith.- 899 replies

Heirs to the Final Empire: A Generational RPG
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Inactive RPs
The House of Pifferdoo: Origins --- "Will you follow me?" Primus Pifferdoo, First of His Name, looked at the man on the floor, then at Rashek, then at the man again. His hand moved to his sword, and the simple blade was pulled from it's scabbard. The preacher-turned-warrior threw his weapon at Rashek's feet. "I will. May Kilvaros have mercy on our souls."- 150 replies

What about a plant that will shrivel up into a ball or stem structure during periods of high gravity, and then unfurl during periods of low gravity? A creature that has adapted to the magic system of the world in a way that is noteworthy to the magic users. They would even work as a natural sentry.

Long Game 12: Shadows of Elantris
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well that was terrifying. I do hope that I don't receive the same treatment. I wouldn't want to ruin this suit (gives overly dramatic bow and flourish) (everyone is impressed)- 1301 replies

Sel had two Shards, Dominion and Devotion. Interesting theory, though I have a feeling Shardblades may refer to objects that can sever spiritual bonds.

I'm going to need a lot more copper then. And some gold, and some cadmiun and bendalloy, and a Shardblade, and a bottle of scotch. You know, for anesthetics.- 114 replies

Alloy of Law era Mistborn rp [currently accepting members]
Lord Pifferdoo replied to Kestrel's topic in Inactive RPs
When the first man burst out of the side street, Souter's instincts had kicked in and he'd dove behind a convenient barrel. He'd immediately tapped his Bronzemind, and a wave of wakefulness crashed over his body, energizing him. His hands had found a fallen walking stick, and he had gripped it so tight his knuckles turned white and there was an audible crack. Souter had almost jumped out and brained a bandit when he thought about his children. What will happen to them if I get shot here? Rachelle will be crushed, and Asha and Eleeis will be fatherless. I cannot do that to them! I will not! But I have to help, somehow! Souter's internal monologue was cut short by a body crashing into the convenient barrel. Souter stumbled onto his rear, and quickly scrambled to his knees. The bandit groaned, and a dark spot was growing on the front of his shirt. He started to fumble with his shirt, but got no farther than the first two buttons before the walking stick shattered on his cranium. The bandit gave a short yelp, then relaxed, his eyes glazing over. Souter stared at the man. The action had been complete reflex, not a conscious decision on Souter's part. Souter's hands shook, and he stood with a start. He turned and saw a bandit make a grab at a girl holding a wooden box. Souter looked at the man, then at the unconscious bandit at his feet. He sighed, then picked up the splintered walking stick and charged towards the accouster, yelling something extremely brave and epic, like "AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGAH!" -

I've good reason to believe that Feligon isn't evil, and the only people that have really spoken to me are either dead now or staying very quiet after I asked some incriminating questions. I've been a bit inactive, mostly because that's my play style, but also because Musical Season here in Hawley, Minnesota has gone into full swing, and practices don't usually end until 9:00. Before that, I'm hard-pressed to find any time to go on the Shard at all.

Souter Somnus was having a good day up to that moment. It was his daughter Asha's birthday, and Souter had spent the entire morning playing with her. His son Eleeis told his mother that he wanted to be a doctor when he grew up, and Rachelle had hugged him so hard, his eyeballs looked like they were going to pop out. A new shipment of allomantic vials had arrived, a new recipe Souter's brother-in-law had been working on. Somehow, the man had figured out a way to saturate twice the metals in three-quarters of the liquid, and it was sure to be a hit once word got out. The sun was shining, but the wind was just right for it to be bearable. Children played in the street, men and women laughed and chatted. Not too many horses had pooped in the street. This was surely a night to celebrate. Souter was planning on celebrating all night long, which is why he was on his way to the sheriff's office with a bottle of fine Elendel wine and a smile on his face. Oh, what would old 'Sleepless Sout' think of me now? he mused. Chumming it up with a sheriff instead of running from em'? Ah, the old boss would shoot me dead to see me like this. And not just because of that incident at Juniper Gorge. Souter was lost in thought when a rather serious-looking young man bumped into him. Souter instinctively checked his pockets before chiding himself. You haven't needed to worry about pickpockets for nearly six years! No use fretting about it now! he told himself. When Souter looked up, what he saw made his blood run ice cold. No...it can't be...how could they even be alive? Seeing someone that has threatened to skin you alive can really put a damper on an otherwise good day. -
Mid-Range Game 6: A Venture in Atium
Lord Pifferdoo replied to the winter system's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This game has a very different feel to it than the others. It's like you still want people to team up with you, but you also want to *kinda* kill everyone else, regardless of what happens.
