  1. Could be interpreted to unite parshmen and humans.
  2. What do you all make of this epigraph Seems like Renarin was not the only Truthwatcher with visions of the future
  3. The fused were ordering the palace destroyed trying to find him, if he didn't go to Hoid he likely would have been captured/killed
  4. Taln never broke, this is why he kept repeating those words, he was still acting as if under torture. Once he became aware again he seemed entirely normal. The desolations only started with Gavilar bringing back the radiants/fused. Nale said something along the lines of the Oath Pact being stretched, now that Honor is no longer around. His belief that the radiants would bring back the desolations seems justified considering that's what happened:
  5. I haven't seen this mentioned yet, but according to the coppermind the second ideal of the Edgedancers is "I will remember those who have been forgotten. ” It would make a lot of narrative sense for Maya to be revived after Adolin speaks those words since they seem particularly tailored to this situation.
  6. I don't take credit for this as I read it somewhere else, but is it possible that in reforming a shattered shard he can change it's intent from Honor to Unity?
  7. KalAzure doesn't seem impossible, in that she's the only other available age appropriate woman he seems to have an existing rapport with.
  8. I don't think the dawnshards are the perfect gemstones. If we look at what honor said he seems to imply that they're actual weapons, not a reserve of stormlight.
  9. All of the ideals so far (bar the 1st) have been decided by the narrative arc. So what are the struggles that Kaladin will be facing in Book 4? I think by the end of OB Kal has made no significant progress to ensure that this doesn't happen again: I think it's very likely this will still be an issue going forward, and that the narrative dictates that the words will be something to get him over this. This would also match the gemstone saying it is unable to say the 4th ideal because "shouldn't I want to protect everyone?", as this is exactly what caused Kal to lose it. So the 4th ideal will be something about the necessity of picking sides, or that protection of those you love might mean you have to kill good men.
  10. This is my interpretation as well. It seems that radiants get access to their secondary/nondominant surge at a later point, it may simply be that he has not uttered the necessary words yet (although perhaps Glys would/should have mentioned this). If we are correct in assuming that Glys is corrupted and has access to some form of Odium's power, does this make Renarin champion potential? That would really screw with Dalinar's/Adolin's/Jasnah's/Khaladin's minds
  11. If Returned cannot have children, how does the royal family have "Returned blood"?
