I can pick out the parts of an accent in a similar way to how Brandon describes it. I suppose with some practice one could become really good. He also could have improved hearing. This could lead to him being able to sense nuances in people speech. Also remember where he came from. The roughs are a cultural melting pot of outcast. He was probably exposed to millions of different speech patterns as a youth. That helps a great deal.

In a formal honorable duel the mistborn would still win. The jedi can't out maneuver a mistborn.

Of course its a close fight but the problem is, The mistborn don't have protection from fire. Aside from that Korra would beat vin beacause she has metal bending and it makes vin a whole lot less powerful. Although Vin's drive is probably far greater than Korra's.

It's a picture of Kilria. Book wise I have read all four of the Mistborn books, Both books from the Stormlight archive, Warbreaker, Alcatraz vs the Evil librarians, and, Steelheart. I have started reading the Wheel of Time books, but school is getting in the way.
