  1. This was from when the corrupted glory spren was talking to Shallan in Shadesmar. Although it is Sja-anat and so it could still be deceit.
  2. I doubt that the Ghostbloods are Odiums intellegence/spy network. Marize knows that Shallan is a Lightweaver but Odium followed the lie that she's an Elsecaller.
  3. Warning, Mistborn spoilers through Secret History So far we've seen Felt 4 times, twice on Scadrial being used as spymaster (a job they seem to enjoy) and then twice on Roshar as a scout employed by Dalinar (the other scene is during the Battle of Narak). We can infer that Felt has been on Roshar for enough time to both visit the Nightwatcher and gain enough trust with Dalinar to be brought on the secret mission to the Nightwatcher. Dalinar has extensive interaction with Hoid, so we can assume Felt isn't part of the in-universe 17th shard. They could still be part of the Ghostbloods, as spymaster kind of fits the bill, and Ilyatil is already involved. They could be associated with a Scadrial based group. Once era 1 finished she doesn't exactly have a boss, so they could have been picked up by: Spook: who is probably more cosmere savvy and we don't know what he did while being Lord Mistborn. Harmony: who is new to the whole cosmere thing and probably wants to find things out, maybe used Fortune to know where he needs to be watching. Kelsier: my favorite theory, who uses Felt to go to the Nightwatcher for him to try to fix his issue, Trell: my least favorite but should include it anyways, nothing really lines up for me with Trell or Autonomy.
  4. Dalinar - Lift combo. Dalinar can provide Stormlight and Bondsmith special combo, Lift can provide Growth/Regrowth to heal anything that needs healing, slide through the ducts/piping to find problems, and can see into the cognitive realm for any kind of 'spren of Urithiru' business.
  5. I'm not convinced that the Shin are the original voidbringers, we learn in the following WoB that the Shin share a language root with Horneaters and Listeners. I'm writing this post with the assumption that even if the Aimians are not native to Roshar, they are not considered Voidbringers, and have their own special history. We know there are also many mass exodus and migration of peoples in the cosmere that have been alluded too, besides the voidbringers, and there could be a complex political climate that we're unaware of. The Threnodites suffered some kind of tragedy and had an exodus, Iri is on some kind of Holy Journey, the Long Path (and they're at 4 of 7), and the Voidbringers killed their planet. Could Cultivation have offered Roshar as a haven for refugees of the Shard War? The Shin cultivating the land that was given to these refugees as a form of custodians to help them get back on their feet? The Languages WoB gives us 5 roots, Dawnate most aligns with Cultivation, and Aimian is a crapshoot. Vorin, Makabaki, and Iri are the main 'Human' roots. My pet theory of the Iri are that they are on the path to reform Ambition, collecting cognitive knowledge by living on 7 planets before you've experienced enough to reform your god is an ambitious plan, but that's the only parallel. They could be any shard, but they don't particularly seem Odious except for the fact that they sided with him during current era. Vorin could be the people who destroyed their planet and brought Odium to Roshar, it aligns with their Tranquiline Halls mumbo. Makabaki could be Honor's peoples, who he brought he either to defend Cultivation from Odium, or they were also unable to live on their original planet. We don't really know if all of the 'humans' came to Roshar at the same time. The Vorins could have came first, as refugees, accidentally bringing Odium. Honor responds with bringing his own troops, the Makabaki. The Iri can show up anytime. Ohh, and in a bout of even more wild speculation. Each peoples rode upon a moon to the planet.
  6. If the act of the Recreance killed all the spren bound with the knights radiant, but we still have the godspren. Having the Bondsmiths not participating in the Recreance might smooth over how the godspren they bound to are still kicking. My partner is suggesting that it's the Lightweavers relying on subterfuge based on the context of whats happening in the chapter.
  7. damnation, I really wanted this to be more. Thanks though, my searching through the forums didn't come up with this thread or else I wouldn't have posted.
  8. Ok, so I made an account just to go over this. In my heart of hearts I feel like there's something more to the floorboard 17 epigraphs of the diagram. Chapter 78 epigraph: every second letter starting with the first Chapter 89 epigraph: every second letter starting with the second This came from the same paragraph (Paragraph 2, floorboard 17) Which originally looked like this: I feel like there is more here than what is obvious, yes it splitting into two sentences was just handed to us and I expect more. Something I have to work for. The problem here is that the first sentence is longer than the second sentence by 18 letters, (sCanwecraftaweapon). I could concede that the s is a part of the main paragraph, leaving 'Canwecraftaweapon' as an oddity. My first instinct was to remove the H's in the paragraph, because it was stated that H is a letter used to make names mirrored but still pronounceable and then stitch the sentences back together, The problem is that there are more H's in the second sentence than the first, so it would make the disparity even larger. Ok, so what if the H's represent spaces, and then try to solve it like it's a cryptogram. What if the double letters (which there are a lot of) are also something funky, Mr. T said that he had to invent his own language (presumably script) to be able to write this down, what if he didn't (being a male) understand the concept of double letters and we are receiving some shitty transcribed easy-to-read version of the original paragraph. Second instinct is that Canwecraftaweapon was a passphrase or some flavor of code used to decrypt the sentence. Maybe if I start with the first letter and go every 3. Does Canwecraftaweapon belong in the encrypted message. What are the significance of the capital letters. Apricity means "The Warmth of the Sun" which is 18 letters long and is in the first sentence, but it would replace Apricity, and so not fully make the sentences even. This is the point where I've ran out of straws to grasp at and am just make things up... At 5 in the morning, with love - Maxell
