  1. I now have the image of Lift being able to increase her friction with the air or water on the soles of her feet enough to stand in open air or walk on water.
  2. Hey my first thread here I know there are probably many threads that deal with the Radiant Orders but I haven't seen any dedicated solely to the Dustbringers/Releasers yet. So the Order of Releasers. The can access the Surges of Abrasion and Division sharing them with the Edgedancers and Skybreakers. Their patron was Chanarach and their divine attributes are Brave and Obedient. So,,, What are their powers like? We get some hints at them. In the prelude of Way of Kings where Kalak comments on how destructive they dealt with the enemy. What Oaths do they swear? What spren do they bond with? My money's on Ashspren. How would Vorin society react to them seeing as having red eyes marks you as something evil ala Voidbringers And any people we feel may become a Releaser in the future or represent them for their book out of the ten? Please anyone feel free to share your own ideas of what a Releaser would be like. I'd love to hear other people's thoughts.
  3. :DIts nice to know that despite all the things we may know for certain about the Stormlight Archive, there are still about five more things we speculate about and won't know until the next book.
  4. Hey still new here at the moment but did anyone besides me feel that the death of First of the Sky(?) might have been committed by a world hopper who then took his Aviar afterwards or did I completely misread it?
  5. I agree that there is something odd about the Releasers. They are perhaps one of the orders we know least about. What their powers will be and what is their general purpose within the Radiants. Personally I find them to be my favourite Order based on how little we can gleam from the quotes in Words of Radiance
  6. Hey just wanted to know the opinions of you guys as to the possibility of such a thing as a Darkspren being bound to one of the Orders
  7. Hi first post here but I have a lot of predictions for Stone Unhallowed Kaladin & Jasnah: Kal will reach Heartstone and take charge of the villagers and organise them to travel to Kholinar to get the Oathgate to Urithiru meeting some resistance from the suspicious. It will take Jasnah arriving and not having patience with Roshone, Laral and Kaladin takes charge and leads the people to the capital, obviously with some Hoidish shenanigans along the way or some Parshendi attacks possibly Venli leading this band. Adolin: He will be found out by Sadeas' wife Ialai and Amaram. This will be brought before the other highprinces and they will demand justice in accordance with the laws. Due to the stress and widening gap between himself and the others Adolin will become more alone in his mind and will try to do what he feels best. A trial will take place with some remarks being made about how the Skybreakers would oversee these matters of law. When Adolin's trial is done a sentence of death or exile will be put forth. Dalinar will secretly exile him but leave him his Shardblade. Adolin will then take a journey to Kholinar to meet Kaladin there to have the Oathgate open. The Parshendi: Eshonai will be found by the remaining Parshendi who escaped before they were changed by the odiumspren. She will be in dull form having found it the only way to contain the odiumspren. Rlain will be saddened by the lost of Eshonai and his people and will go back to the Plains to find them there. Jezrien's Honorblade & Navani: Navani will be given the Blade to study and will attempt to replicate it's power but will fail to create more of them. The Blade will instead drive the research of her and her artifabrians in the direction of trying to use Geranid's discovery to mimic the power of the Knights' control over the Surges. Elhokar: Elhokar will listen more to the advice of those around him. He will begin to become more familiar with the people in Urithiru and begin to take the lessons from the Way of Kings more seriously. He will keep trying to be a great king, but decides he cannot serve his people well until he understands them better. Elhokar will take a pilgrimage across Roshar like Nohadon in hopes to learn more about himself and to become a better leader like his father who he tries to emulate. As he leaves Navani will gift him with Jezrien's Honorblade and will leave behind both his old Shardblade and Gavilar's Blade and take the Honorblade as his own on his journey. Szeth: He will have his story of how he became Truthless told and he will be inducted into the Skybreakers along with Nightblood, of course. Szeth will revel in the purpose of the organisation in keeping order, but he will discover that through many tests of Nalan's that it isn't the law that the Skybreakers uphold but Nalan's warped idea of Justice. Szeth will see through Nalan's lies about upholding peace by killing new Radiants as the same he was told when he was made Truthless and will become a true Skybreaker ready to atone for his own actions by serving others as a Knight Radiant. Shallan: Shallan will become the face of the new Radiants in Urithiru despite her objections to Dalinar about it. This will force to spend more time disguised as Veil. She will also become the focus for people resentful of the Radiants to try and kill her. She will call on the Ghostbloods to help her win over the people and find who sent the assassins after Elhokar and her. She will become more friendly with their group but will feel conflicted loyalties. Also she will get the Ghostblood symbol tattooed onto her. She will learn about Helaran and the Skybreakers in parallel to Szeth. She will learn that Kaladin killed Helaran from Mraize but will not acknowledge it until Kaladin tells her himself. Dalinar: He will try to unite the nations against the Voidbringers and not each other but will have to work with Taravangian and rebuild some nations including the Purelake. Dalinar will begin to take a more political role as the head of the Radiants and as Adolin will be exiled in disgrace for killing Sadeas so Dalinar will pass the duties for house Kholin to Renarin. Renarin: Renarin will take up the responsibilities left by Adolin and become more active in his role he will begin to train with Zahel extensively and will become better with the sword having studied his brother so long. He will begin to understand his powers more by spending time with Shallan and learning from her and the archives of knowledge buried in Urithiru. He will become a POV character will be involved in the battle against the Stone Shamans sent to retrieve Szeth's Honorblade. Interludes: Lift will be more awesome and will have left the Bronze Palace to steal food from the palace in Jah Keved and then Kholinar. Dalinar will found out that she is a Radiant by talking with Gawx the new Prime. Taravangian will follow the Diagrams blueprint for conquest and will begin to experience more errors in the Diagram which will begin to cause his faith in it to waver. More straying from the Diagram will occur where the Radiants are concerned but it will stray massively off scale in relation to events that Hoid has a hand in shaping. Rysn will continue to see more of the world allowing her to be more open minded than before and will put a spirit of adventure into her and put her down the path of becoming a Willshaper. Also Axies will have been bought from the Reshi people by Vstim and he will be with Rysn until Vstim can sell Axies to someone. But Axies will explain the larkin to Rysn and tell a little about the Scourging of Aimia. "Taln or the man who thinks he is Taln" will begin to be brought out of his shell by focusing on his role in training new soldiers for the Sons of Honor. Lastly some wild speculation on my behalf. The Order of Releaser are the destroyers of the Knights Radiant and they bond with Ashspren, cousins of Firespren because that is all the Releasers leave behind on the battlefield. An unnamed Releaser will be mentioned in the background who will be the missing POV for the last half of the Stormlight Archive. The one of the Godspren will be the Cognitive representation of Odium or Damnation. Lastly there will be an order that bonds a Darkspren
