  1. I need to get a BusDriver post up for the chase. I'll do that as soon as I possibly can.

Also, would anyone mind if I changed his upper limit from 10 to like 25 or 30? I'd still like him to have a hard upper limit, but 10 is a bit hard to work with. I'm totally okay with whatever, but I figure that he's already weak enough as is without a limit of only 10.

  2. No traveling to the past in any game-breaking way, no major future travel, if others can be taken along it can't be game-breaking, no game-breaking time warping. One time Epic who fits comfortably within those guidelines is Timeport. He can travel up to two minutes into the future, but he can only carry his clothes and a weapon. He did travel an hour or so into the past once, but that was when Upgrade (who can magnify Epic powers) helped him, and all Timeport did was visit himself to give key information pertaining to his own future, creating a stable time loop.

Technically it's five minutes, and he went a half hour into the past, but whatever. :P

  3. Not sure if he can still teleport through it as long as he doesn't start drowning so I knocked him out so that I didn't have to guess what exact effect the water would have on him. (Yes, it was all for the plot I tell you, that's the only reason I punched Timeport.  )

Also sorry for butchering everyone's character, if anyone has any appropriate dialog I'd love to include it. I hate writing for other people's character but I strangely enjoy watching other people write mine so I can see their take on the character.

Half immersion cancels his teleportation, and full immersion cancels his resurrection. So I'm imagining this giant ball of water that Timeport is engulfed in. And it is beautiful.

  4. WHEEL OF TIME BOOK FIVE

Opened it wanting cute Perrin/Faile scenes

Or even Lan/Nynaeve or something cool and platonic with Lan/Moiraine

I'm very disappointed like what is this.

The lack of romance is what makes novels good, not the presence of it.  ;)

And this is why the world needs more Discworld.

Comedy is in general looked down upon, even if sharp satire is a hundred times more intelligent than the overly dramatic stuff that goes for "great art".

Now you can be depressing and amazing, very few can succeed with it because with my night black sense of humor I always find the comedy in it, but it exists.

I think the problem is in general that a lot of comedy looks stupid, while angst looks dramatic and "arty".

Im not sure what the point of that rant was, but I typed it so I might as well post it.

We read Importance of Being Ernest in English 11, so not all teachers look down on comedy. :P

I'll submit my vote for the later series in Terry Brook's Shannara chronicles. Like, the "dark witch" of shannara series (the one where the Ellcrys dies again and the Ard Rhys gets trapped in the Forbidding and they're searching for new elfstones, i think that's what it's called) is just awful. The characters are all wooses, nobody does anything, and every fifth chapter is a freaking lead-off chapter*! It's got barely any plot and just...ugh. They turned me off the shannara series completely.

*"Lead-off chapter" being defined as the type of chapter that ends with something like "And then they laid down in bed, and then they started kissing. And then they couldn't stop." And then the next chapter about those characters starts with something like "They woke up the next morning, still feeling warm from their night together." Or something like that.

  5. Did she do that or are you only talking about her clothes, because those don't necessarily count with Epic powers?

No, she turned that sword in her room into mist when she was holding it. So I'm not sure if it is "holding it, and her clothes go too." or "touching it."

  6. Well she managed to smash some crates, if i remember right but i don't think Winter went into much detail here.

She can at least turn anything (small enough?) that she touches into mist, so she might be able to absorb things in her mist form.

  7. Mommy brand cleaning tools, BusDriver brand dashboard accessories and Grumpy Taffy, Timeport brand melee weaponry, Gregory trying to take over the Brandon Sanderson brand; I can see this going somewhere. :P

Speaking of, Twi it's your turn with IRL and Gregory.

  8. Do they not have Mexican food in Australia?

Because I've heard that Latin food isn't really an international thing, but I refuse to believe it. I don't think any other cuisine can top all-you-can-eat tortilla chips, horchata, and pretty much every latin dish ever created.

EDIT: By the way, I'd love to join in on that pursuit, one character or another.

Would Orange be more likely to join up with the Dalles city guard, or see that there are some Epics fighting back against Vondra and join with them?

    "Freeze, or we will shoot!"

BusDriver looked around the door at the gathered squad of City Guardsmen. Holy Calamity that was fast! He quickly ushered everyone into the car and--thankfully not shot yet--clambered into the driver's seat.

"Shatterblast, you know what to do." BusDriver told him, but Shatterblast was already on it. He Shattered three windows and sent the pieces flying toward the gathered guardsmen, killing every one of them. BusDriver started up the bus and floored the accelerator, lurching the bus into motion. Buildings flew past the open windows of the bus as it sped up, BusDriver willing it to go faster and faster.

Mistwraith came up from behind him. "Where are we going? I didn't mean to get you discovered, by the way."

Like Calamity you didn't. "It doesn't matter where we're going if we aren't going to get out of this sparking city alive. Can you keep up with this bus in your mist form?"

BusDriver glanced behind him to see her look up in thought. Good enough. Pressing a button on the dashboard, BusDriver opened up the window/emergency exit on the roof of the bus. "Good. Now get out there and protect this bus."
